You Who Believe Enter Into Islaam Wholeheartedly- Al Quran)(???????? ???????? ?????????? ??????????? (You ALONE we worship and To you ALONE we seek help) I had purchased Briggs & Stratton generator of 5.2 KVA ( Promax 6000 Vanguard) from METRO Lahore in 2008. Some four month back the generator was not generating electricity. However when we accelerate its engine manually, it starts giving the current. We had lodged a complaint with your Lahore office( mr. Israr). He deputed Mr. shahzad to check the generator. Mr. Shahzad after checking the generator, confirmed that the AVR is perfectly in order but they need to check the winding of the generator and for that the generator should be sent to their workshop in Lahore. We had sent the generator to the workshop, there they kept for 3days and after that they informed that the AVR was heated up and they had replaced it without informing us that they had put a local one. (Please note that at the first instance Mr. Shahzad confirmed that the AVR is perfectly inorder). When we brought the generator at home and switched to its power, the light of the entire house some time remain stable and some times start blinking. When we informed it to Mr. Israr he informed us that since original AVR is replace with a local one therefore this blinking is taking place. We again lodged a complain and then again Mr. Shahzad visited to check the generator. We were then informed that now its engine head is week and we that need to be repaired. We asked from Mr. Israr that why it was not informed when we had sent it to the workshop they were unable to give the reason. After a lot of follow up to Mr. azmat at Karachi/ Mr. Javaid got repaired the engine head but when we switched to its power, the generator starts giving around 300 watts which had burned one fan of our house. Then again we lodged the complained . At this time they brought a motor winding electrician who informed that the wire coming out form the motor winding got week and he replaced the wire. The generator function properly for around 2 hours and then again it starts blinking the lights. We had informed this to Mr. Javaid and Mr. Sohail ( at Karachi) but till now nothing has been done to fix the problem. CONCLUSION From the above I have concluded that the actual problem with the generator was the weeking of the wire which was coming out form the motor and that there was no need for either the change of AVR or the repair of engine head. Moreover, the original AVR has been taken out by Mr. Israr/shahzad and put a local one and also charged Rs.3,000. You are kindly requested to look into the matter and recover our original AVR from Israr/shahzad and also enquire why the engine head got repaired when it was not needed Nasir Gulzar Senior Partner Nasir Javaid Maqsood Imran, Chartered Accountants Lahore, Pakistan.
