Good product but.....
4 Star Review   By Rockerga on Home Depot - Jun 17, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The only "underrated" statement with this product is that it MUST HAVE A SOLID FLAT SURFACE to be built upon. Without this YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS, YOU WILL BE DISAPOINTED! The only "gotcha" I felt like I had was on the last page of the instructions concerning all those holes in the interior... It showed the "buttons" you had to put in "ALL OF THE HOLES" so the book shows you what they are for, how to do it and then......"REPEAT 134 TIMES!" I really felt that these holes should be "plugged" at the end of manufacturing or I would like to hear WHY they are not.

5 Star Review   By TomZ on Home Depot - Jun 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

After checking other products online I decided to take the risk to purchase this US LeisureStronghold 10 ft. x 8 ft. Resin Storage Shed online. Not seeing these assembled in the store and buying it without touching or seeing it was a leap of faith. I did have two issues, the first step is to assemble the 2 left, 2 center, and 2 right floor panels. In the box were 2 center and 4 left floor panels. This was a problem. The instruction says, for any missing parts call the manufacture 9-5 Monday through Friday. Having to work for a living, and this being Saturday this presented a problem. I called Home Depot explained the problem, and they offer to open a box and replace my missing parts. This was an inconvenience, but not Home Depots fault, and they were very nice for doing it. Assembly was good, except for the second problem of the roof support drill holes not matching up. I had to drill them bigger until they fit. I was able to assemble the shed in about four hours with my two sons. The next day it rained very hard, and no leaks. It looks nice and is a good value.

I wanted a shed for a long time and this one is just right. The hardware is a little weak but all in all a good value. Put most of it together my self but needed some help on the roof.

Overall a good shed
4 Star Review   By Scott on Home Depot - May 21, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Very easy to assemble with the help of a partner. Took about 3 hours. The shed seems to be constructed well with good support. Was missing screws but that was no big deal. The door latch isn't of the highest quality but it works.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED
1 Star Review   By jims on Home Depot - May 17, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

First of all the directions don't really address the base. They just say that the base needs to be level. So we build a floor with pressure treated wood on concrete deck bases. What really should have been said is that the base needs to be perfectly flat. After we had the shed 90% up we had to go back and shim a low spot so that the pieces would stay together. The plastic shutters have really cheap attachments and one is broken already. Fortunately this is behind our fence because I could open up the whole thing with a pocket knife.

I was looking for a replacement shed because superstorm Sandys winds took down a huge branch over my old one, and totally demolished it. After a bit of research I decided to go with this one. Most reviewers state that it was easy to assemble and IT WAS.I applied for a Home Depot credit card because of a promotion that gave 10% off my first purchase a got a great deal on the shed.I love the fact that I can stand straight up even on the sides!

The instructions are great to follow. i wish i read the required tool list at first - i had trouble putting the roof panels in because they are so tight ( it didn't help when i try to put this whole thing together all by myself). i had to use grease to put on the sides of the roof panels to be able to slide them in. after all said & done, i looked at the tool list and it said "a bottle of soap & water". now you know!

Was easy to build and the PDF was not needed to construct.
5 Star Review   By Scott on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It took me and my 11 year old son one day to build a wooden platform to set the shed on. One day for my wife and I to put together the shed. Only needed the instructions that came with the shed. The next day after construction we had a horrible wind/dust storm with winds reaching 70 miles an hour. I had not secured the floor of the shed to the platform so it slid sideways. I got a couple of lag screws reoriented the building on the platform and screwed it down. Since than it has not moved. It is a great shed and is working out nicely.

nice shed
4 Star Review   By richard on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The shed was picked up at the store by me and brought home. It came in three boxes, so two people can handle moving it to the location in the yard where i installed it. The instructions were pretty good, but could have indicated how the second person would be used in a number of areas. It also was not clear how some pieces were meant to be connected or what to watch out for to ensure proper installation was performed. For example, when putting the metal frame together, they could have indicated that the holes needed to be on the downside for installation of the cross brace.

5 Star Review   By TimG on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have has this shed for 2 months and I am extremely happy with it. The only issue I had was getting the flooring together. Other than that, the shed went up without a hitch and has withstood some pretty strong wind and rain storms. The biggest thing for me, NO LEAKS. Glad I decided on this unit. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Very Durable
5 Star Review   By Tina on Home Depot - Apr 16, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My husband and father in law put together in 4 hours the one thing my husband said was that I really didn't have to pay the extra $300 for the delivery it was not that heavy the only reason I payed the extra for delivery is because someone had stated in their review that it was 3 large boxes and heavy but they weren't at all and could have fit in the back of a flat bed truck but oh well you live and learn but we are very happy with the shed itself worth every penny!

This shed looks very nice in the yard. The feature skylight leaks! I replaced my old shed because it was 10 yrs old and leaked. I wish I had just bought a shed without this feature. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? I'm concerned that its leaking and it has only been up for 6 months.

5 Star Review   By lynnie on Home Depot - Apr 5, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This shed has held up to 2 hurricanes, one of them being Sandy, it is also placed in my backyard which we consider a 'wind tunnel' since we have no back neighbors, just a road behind us. I do suggest, however, make a platform and use the rubber mat that comes with it.

Easy to build, looks great!
5 Star Review   By BigJer on Home Depot - Jan 21, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It took 2 grown men 1 hour to assemble the wood foundation and 3 hours to assemble the shed. 4 hours total build time. Instructions were very well written. There were a bag of lock washers that were included that weren't mentioned in the instructions. They fit on the large plastic screws that hold the walls to the floor and gables. I may install them at a later date. Like many reviews have stated the door latches could be more robust and secure. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the shed. The skylight and windows add enough light to find what you need.

Very good overall, I have an important assembly tip...
4 Star Review   By HDLover2 on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Easy to put together, I did it in about 6-7 hours alone. Someone said they did it in 3.5 hours.....alone....I don't think so. The instructions need improvement. The floor instructions appear to be backwards, just use common sense and you will figure it out. Since I was alone, I installed the roof truss's one at a time then assembled the roof supports afterwards. The hardest part was sliding the roof panels in place. I did the first one with no lube and it was difficult. My tip to help these slide easier is to spray the channels with silicone spray...what a difference! Overall, I'm happy with this shed, it was the biggest I could find for the price. It is well built and sturdy, the doors are a little flimsy but still OK. I added a 4' hanging florescent light from Home Depot for night use.

5 Star Review   By GForce on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This shed was very easy to put together, especially if you follow the other reviewers tips. We did build a base first. My husband and I put together the shed in probably 5 hours. I love how it looks, and has enough space to pack our patio furniture, bikes, folding chairs, lawn mower, and our daughters outdoor toys in.

Lot of Bang for the dollar
4 Star Review   By BobbyB on Home Depot - Jan 1, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Excellent storage shed for your items. Only reason not 5 star rating is the security of the shed. Dont think I would leave anything to expensive in it like outboards, fishing equip etc... in it. Just no way to make a plastic shed very secure. Shuttered windows would be really easy to pry open. But quality of shed is remarkable considering it is plastic and looks really good once set up. Every thing fits tight and a couple of days after I set it up here in florida we had a heck of a storm come through with 50 mph winds and 3 inches of driving rain. Was exjpecting some water in the shed when I checked the next morning but only a couple of drops in the middle which came from driving rain sideways through the skylight. Not even a toliet sheet worth of water. Set up on concrete pad and took me and wife about 8-9 hours over two days to complete. Floor was hardest and easiest way was to just kick the sections together to get them to lock. Sprayed wd40 on roof panels and they slid right into place. Get a rubber mallet to popping hard pieces together. Overall very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone needing some storage. Very pleasing to look at also.

Great buy for a great price
4 Star Review   By Heather on Home Depot - Nov 20, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I love this shed! It was just what I needed in the price range I could afford. (The warranty doesn't hurt either!) Took about 4 hours - 2 people to put together. Yes, the floor is the hardest part, but if you can get the angle right it snaps into place fairly well. Make your base (wood or concrete) level and exactly 8 x 10 or you'll end up with an extra lip of base showing. I made it exactly to the specs shown and just slid it all the way to the back and have the "lip" in the front. I did end up with a wrong set of shutters, but a quick call to the manufacturer and 3 days later I had replacements.

EZ assembly, if you aren't in a rush
4 Star Review   By TheTurk on Home Depot - Nov 11, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Bought the shed yesterday and finished putting it up today. Assembly wasn't too terribly challenging, but thought I'd post a few observations. Full disclosure: I was doing this alone and the instructions suggest 2 people 1. the floor. following the instructions, piecing together the 3 separate 2-piece floor sections was dang near impossible. Another review said to do it 'sideways' and not 'longways' like the instructions. Good suggestion. 2. the hardware is in a single bag, separate the items before starting. Also, separate all the plastic items first rather than as you go. 3. Inserting the corner clips is a challenge for one person, unless you have a 7 foot wingspan. Needed my wife to lean on a corner to get the clips to slide in. (Oh, yes. The instructions suggest a spray bottle of soapy water. Keep it handy for any time you are sliding plastic clips or tabs into the various notches). 4. The instructions for the roof have you doing it all on the ground, then 2 (and a third) lifting the trusses up for attachment to the shed. Someone suggested doing one truss and a time and connecting it all once up. I started that way, but it's very hard to support the truss and connect the cross pieces between each truss and secure the nut/bolt. So, I took the each truss down, attached the 4 cross pieces to the inside of each gable. Then attached the 2 cross pieces between the two trusses while on the ground, lifted it up the double truss to set on the truss brackets and secured them as directed. Then connected the 4 cross pieces already up to each truss and tightened. HINT: if you do it this way, make darn sure that the each bolt (4 of 'em) that connect the central cross piece to the truss to the end cross piece (attached to the gable) are facing OUT toward the gable (nut end toward the gable). Easy to slip off the nut, attach the cross piece, then put the nut back on. If you have the nut end of the bolt facing the middle of the shed, you'll have to remove the bolt, guide the outside cross piece to the truss, insert the bolt, then guide the central cross piece. Trust me, that's a task to be avoided, especially if you are doing this 3-4 handed job with just 2 hands - words to the wise. 5. While most of the tasks can be done alone, the one I found to absolutely require a 2nd person is sliding the roof panels through the tracks (Soapy water helps) and inserting the tabs into the notches of the skylight. I see no way one person can do this. The fit is too tight and the alignment is tricky, especially with how the skylight track fits around the peak of the gable. I needed to use a piece of scrap 2x2 and pound the end of the roof panels to get the clips to fully seat in the notches. 6. The shed may seem shaky while being assembled, but once the final roof panel is in place, it sure seems rock solid. Looking forward to a long life, assuming the hurricanes are minor and infrequent.

Great Value, solid shed
4 Star Review   By MichaeL50 on Home Depot - Oct 21, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Bought to replace 10x8 metal shed on existing 10x10 cement pad. Looked for several months, decided on this one based on reviews and price. I had no help and did complety by myself from start to finish. Total time was 5 hours one day and about 3 hours the next day. Instructions and assembly must have been updated based on reviews I had read. As I had no help to lift roof onto frame I decided to assemble roof on the frame and not on the ground as per instructions, this was a bit tricky but managed with not a lot of trouble and it went together just fine. All parts where there and I did not need to run to get more screws as others had mentioned. Shed assembly was easy and smooth. When putting in door latch the screw holes where to small, I used a regular drill and drilled out bigger holes (piece of cake). Shed seems solid but doors are a bit flimsy. Overall looks great and for the money I do not think you will find a better shed.We have had several good storms with high winds since I put it up and it has prooved to be water tight and solid.I love the floor that came with it. It is much nicer than the metal shed I previously had.The gables allow the shed to breath and has Good light from the skylight, is a big plus, the windows allow a nice breese to flow through as I am working from inside the shed. If you do not have a large budget and are looking for a nice shed this is the one for you.

It took 2 men 5 hours to put together, plus 2 hours for set up and wooden platform. Expect to spend the day. Instructions were easy and assemblky went well. Not very secure but a good price for the quality and if you are looking for something for outdoor storage. All in all I found this a good buy. An 8' X 10' platform is enough to fit it on.

Easy to Assemble, Sturdy Structure
5 Star Review   By SarahW on Home Depot - Oct 16, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

We purchased this to replace our old metal shed. The Stronghold was easy to set up, although the roof took a bit of finagling. As we live on a slope, we had our handyman build a base for the shed, with a plywood floor for additional support. The Strongman is roomy and sturdy. Even though the description lists this as "brown," the picture is accurate: it is shades of grey. We had it delivered, and it arrived in three boxes. The manufacturer includes some extra pieces (and indicates in the instructions when there will be extras).

mostly a good shed
4 Star Review   By jandm on Home Depot - Oct 14, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

the ease of putting this shed together was great...instructions were pretty clear and had pictures as well as written instructions. The shed went together very well...the only rough part I had was the roof. This shed definitely needs two people to put together. We did it in 3 hours. There are only two parts I would complain about. First is, my cement pad was perfectly level...however I had to put a 1" block to raise the floor on one side so the doors would align...so the floor doesn't look the best on the front side of the shed when looking at it. Second, between the roof and the walls there is about a 1/4" gap (although covered and no rain enters the shed) I am just worried about bees and other bugs during the summer entering the shed through that gap. Other than that the shed is great...we got about 1" of rain immediately following the construction and no rain entered the shed...very pleased with it other than those two items.

Great shed for the price.
4 Star Review   By JasonB on Home Depot - Sep 30, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My wife and I got tired of stinking up our house by keeping our riding mower in the garage, so I started the task of looking for a shed. I looked at metal ones and wooden ones and was about ready to buy a wooden one when a friend suggested this one. I read the reviews here over and over for about a month and finally decided to go for it. It went together quite easy except for the fact that two pieces of the roof truss had the holes on the sides drilled at different heights. That problem made it impossible to screw them into the brackets. Once we figured out what the problem was, it was a quick fix with my drill. It took my father-in-law and I about 5 hours to put it together, but we stopped for drinks. The problem with with the trusses ate up about 40 minutes. I was surprised at how sturdy it was once it was complete. I'm extremely happy with how it looks and the durability and it 's actually quite spacious. More importantly, my wife is happy with it. Attached are a couple of photos. Please ignore the ugly deck in the background, that is next Spring's project.

don't put it together alone
4 Star Review   By Manny on Home Depot - Sep 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

i just built this shed today and it took me and my son about 4.5 hours. I started to do it alone at first and the floor is horrible to put together by yourself...It would have hard for one person to put this together. It takes two people to do it. Overall I am happy with it and tomorrow it's going to get packed with all the stuff in the garage..

a great shed easily assembled by 2 novices
5 Star Review   By ladyarwen3 on Home Depot - Sep 22, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My husband and i purchased this shed after much consideration of various options (steel, wood, etc.). We prepared a level surface by creating a 10 by 8 by 6 in frame of PT which we filled in with stone, sand and concrete patio pavers. Assembly took 5.5 hours on the first day of fall with a light wind. The hardest part was finding the instruction booklet to start; we set the panels out in the sun to keep warm and lined them up the way they were shown in the instructions. We struggled a little bit with the floor panels. Those center tabs that lock the floor when you try the 45 degree angle didnt work until I stood on one section that did snap in easily, while hubby worked in the rest. We had some anxious moments putting in the side panels when the wind kicked up; Thankfully it settled down and didnt cause too many more problems. Agreed with the other reviewers .. spray soapy water on everything that needs to slide into place. We assembled the roof trusses on the ground; we used a wheelbarrow to help support the heavier pieces while we bolted it together. Put a decent sized step ladder in the middle of the building when youre ready to start installing the roof panels. We used a 5 foot ladder. I stood in the center of the building and pressed down on the skylight while hubby slid the roof panels into place. We did the center panel on the right side first, then the rear right, then the front right. When hubby put the first panel in the left rear, it pushed the skylight off center and pushed the right rear slightly out of place. We rubber-malletted it back in place, I climbed even higher on the ladder ( so I was mostly out of the center of the building) and pressed harder on the side of the skylight while hubby slid the left side in again and this time it succeeded. The next 2 panels went in like clockwork. Our only issues with the shed : 1 The metal latch for the doors will not slide into the door like they should. I am also concerned that the pieces will rust and the screws provided do not fit in the metal plate. 2. there isnt any way to put screen in the windows. Overall it seems very sturdy and i will update my review in a few months after it goes thru the winter.

Great product for the money
5 Star Review   By Dannie on Home Depot - Sep 20, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

If you're a healthy DIY'er ( I have a bad back) with plenty of patience and a helper, then this is a doer. The time to put it together varies on whether or not you have the right tools, help, and good weather, so don't have anything else scheduled the day that you plan on tackling this shed. Overall, once finished, my aunt was happy with the shed and all of the room that it supplied her and her belongings and it looks great in the backyard.

Great Shed - Easy to Assemble
5 Star Review   By gwp1510 on Home Depot - Sep 17, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This product was all I expected from the reviews I read. It was easy to assemble and really took no time to set up. I was missing one piece out of all the included items. However I just called the manufacturer and the shipped me a new one no problems. Pay close attend to the skylight assembly though. There is one small piece that cant be installed later it you forget it. Other perfect shed.

We recieved the building however there were parts missing so we had to wait to receive replacement parts,. Customer service with US Leisure was friendly and was helpful in getting the parts shipped to us. The building itself even though we haven't been able to put it together yet because of the missing parts seems to be tough and durable. We look forward to seeing it put together soon.

Well designed. "Stronghold" is a bit lofty a description.
4 Star Review   By StuBeef on Home Depot - Sep 10, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

PROS: well designed, easy to assemble, solid flooring, stays dry, works with standard shelving brackets rather than companies expensive must buy accessories, proper fitting doors and windows. CONS: window handles/latches are flimsy, not impregnable (doors could probably be ripped off without excessive effort if one was so inclined, door lock mechanism only design flaw. First, let me say I am almost entirely satisfied. This shed is not the most expensive, and is being rated accordingly. The only real issue I have with what I received was the door latch. The screws that come with the door lock mechanism (separate from other hardware) were not adequate to secure latches tightly. As a result I scrapped provided lock and wrapped door handles with my own cord lock, which to me seemed necessary anyway considering the doors if pulled hard will bend outward far enough to get fingers in. If you plan to store expensive equipment/tools in your shed, you may want to purchase something with more backbone. This shed I imagine is adequate for the majority of us, but it is far from impregnable. As far as assembly goes, take the time to organize everything before you start. Pay special attention to the proper screw lengths, they vary throughout construction steps. Definitely use soapy water on the roof panels. They fit snug, which is great after they are installed. I used rubber mallet to tap them tight and did not break or damage roof tiles. If you are building a platform, reconsider provided instruction to build one 8'3" deep. All you will accomplish is having wood exposed to the elements. The shed fits perfectly on a 8' long x 10' wide platform. I was able to assemble entire shed by myself. I am 6'5", which made hoisting the roof frame up onto its supports easier, but there are no particularly heavy parts that one man, or an East German woman could not carry themselves. The shed has a nice 5" ledge about 6' high on the back and front walls. Not sure it was designed for storage as much as support, but it serves well to hold 2x4's, garden stakes, etc. Shed anchors are not provided. The holes are drilled, but you will need to buy separate. I am not sure I am even going to install them. I don't live in the Midwest, or anywhere else that might face "severe" winds, but the shed has good weight to it and won't blow off the platform in a standard heavy storm I would wager an arm on. Other reviews recommend cutting vertical tabs off flooring panels. I did not find that necessary. By myself, I was able to kneel on center panels and reach far end of front/back panels held at 45 degrees. A quick tug snapped the two panels together, which stayed put as I worked my way down the panel length. All in all, great shed for the masses. Don't store your faberge eggs in it, but your lawn mower should do fine.

I searched for this size shed in this price range, this had the best reviews. Was easy to put up, hubby put up in few hrs with little assistance, did mostly himself. We Love our Shed!
4 Star Review   By Futuristic on Home Depot - Aug 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This was definitely a great product for the price. It took my boyfriend and I about 5 hours to put it together. It probably would have taken less time if the wind didn't start to pick up and kept blowing our walls down beofre we could put the supports in. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow. We have had some very rainy and windy nights since we put it up and not a drop of water inside or the slightest off kilter.

Perfect garden shed.
4 Star Review   By James on Home Depot - Aug 28, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Level surface is a must prior to assembly, I used 12" patio block to cover ground and a two foot level to provide a firm and level foundation. Took one person about 5 hours to assemble. Most difficult was snapping the base together, once the sun warmed the base up it seemed to go together much easier. I did not follow the instructions for the roof truss pieces, seemed easier doing one complete truss then finishing balance. Otherwise instructions were fairly good - clear and logical. Ventilation in the shed is minimal, as it heats up significantly in the shed, probably owing to the black roof. The shed is not 100% water tight, after a very heavy rain there was a small leak in center of unit between the two sky light parts, probably easily fixed with a little caulking. Door latching assembly is less than ideal; also would have liked door hinges to be more substantial, but they work fine. Bottom butt ends of doors did not securely attach, may need to add some additional screws to hold the bottom butt plates in place.

When the shed arrived, I inventoried the parts and found two missing panels. I emailed the company and I received the panels within 5 days. The shed went together easily, the instructions were clear and concise and I had no assembly issues whatsoever. The shed is structurally sound and once I built a platform and leveled it, the shed was put together in one afternoon. It is worth the price.

Great shed, but build with 2 people
5 Star Review   By HDPAR on Home Depot - Aug 9, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I've had this shed up for 5 months now and it has performed perfectly. Tips I would recommend: Read all instructions as wall panels can serve in multiple locations. Have another person help you - tough to do alone but possible. Make the platform 8' x 10". Don't know why instructions recommend an addt'l 3". Waste of time and money as base of shed fits perfectly on a 8 x 10 platform. Entire project took me 7 hrs and that included site prep and building the platform. 2 people with basic building skills should get this up in 4 - 5 hrs.

Serves its purpose and looks nice
5 Star Review   By Rocco on Home Depot - Aug 9, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

We had 2 people assemble the entire thing in one afternoon. HOWEVER, they did not make a level base and the floor was uneven in many spots. Thought we could live with it, but ended up separating the wall from the floor (not difficult), moving the shed over (not difficult with several people helping), and re-doing the floor to make it level. We ended up digging out a few inches to allow room for paver bricks. We leveled them and slid the shed back into place and re-attached the floor (again... not difficult). You can avoid all that nonsense if you make sure you have a LEVEL BASE! If no level base, the doors will also be a little tricky. They are pefect... now that we have fixed the floor.

Great Shed! (Assembly Tips Included)
5 Star Review   By DANN on Home Depot - Jul 16, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I assembled this shed by myself in 3.5 hours. The end result was a pleasent surprise. Not even an hour after I finished, we got hit by a massive storm with very heavy gusts and terential down pours. The shed stayed completely dry!!! Here are a few tips for assembly: -To assemble by yourself, assemble the roof supports in place. The only reason the directions call for two people is bc they tell you to asseble the roof framing on the ground and lift it in to place. -Make sure you install the center cap when you put the skylight in. If you forget to do this, (like myself and everyone else who bought this shed) cut the bottom flat piece off of the cap and epoxy it in place. By doing this you will avoid having to take the roof apart. -Floor Assembly: connect the floor assembly the exact opposite of what the directions say. Getting the two connected panels at a 45 deg angle to connect properly was a nightmare ofr me... All in all this shed seems great. For this size and type of shed, you cant beat the price. Make sure you register your shed with the manufacturer for the warranty.

easy to assemble
4 Star Review   By Fluke on Home Depot - Jul 11, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

this shed came in three heavy boxes with lots of parts, the assembly instructions were clear, with pictures and were super easy to follow, ours was missing about 16 screws, which isn't bad considering how many came with it. It took my husband and I about 5-6 hours to put it together on a hot summer day in full sun, which we are sure helped the pieces to be more pliable and snap together much easier than if it had been on a cool or cold day. It's like a giant puzzle. The only difficult part was a little piece that clips onto the center top of the skylight, only because it wasn't explained very well in the instructions, but it still wasn't bad. We built a platform out of 2" x 4" s and plywood ( two 10' and six 8' {treated} 2' x 4' s and three sheets of half inch plywood, which we feel is worth the extra cost) and built the shed on that to keep it level and straight and will keep the shed floor dry when it rains. The windows let a breeze in when you're in it which helps because without them it will be very hot. plenty of storage room for the money,

Good quality and served the purpose
4 Star Review   By Briggsamish on Home Depot - Jul 10, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

We needed extra space and this storage shed was perfect. We did a lot of research online before we selected this one. It had to be delivered because of the weight of 3 boxes it comes packed into. We tore out sod, leveled the base with paver base, and put down 12" square pavers as a base. It did take all afternoon to assemble (without the base which we did earlier) but it went together fairly easy. It doesn't come with anchors and we're still not sure how we want to approach that, but it seems sturdy. No shelves BUT came with slots for the standard shelves that we already used in the garage. The roof was difficult to assemble and took one of us on a step ladder and another one with muscles to shove! We were short one screw when finished but were able to pick up at a hardware store. It looks very nice in our backyard and we're loving the extra space it freed up in our garage!

Great product for some extra storage!
5 Star Review   By Cody914 on Home Depot - Jul 7, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This a well designed easy to assemble storage shed that has easy to follow instructions. I bought this at my local Home Depot and had them deliver it to my house, along with all the wood and screws necessary to build the base. I followed the instructions provided on the US Liesure website to build the base. The shed was $748 and all the materials for the base were about $150. There was a $65 delivery fee. I did the majority of all this work by myself. I recommend at least two people for this, it will go much faster and you will need a second person on a few occasions. It took me about 1.5 hours to build and level the wood base. It took me about 5 hours to build the shed with just a little help from my nephew when assembling the roof frame and putting in the panels. I would think two adults could build the shed in 4 hours. There are not alot of misc pieces to sort through and everything is clearly labeled. Very well designed.

good value and looks
4 Star Review   By BRYBLUE4 on Home Depot - Jun 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

overall a good purchase, i dont like the hardware but the entire shed looks durable and properly built. I have to recommend you build a bottom base to secure the floor panel and shed securely, without the base I think it is flimsy. It takes longer to build if your a first timer(1 hr to shop for wood base materials, if you purchase the shed you need a truck with a large enough trunk to carry the 400 lb product, about 1 hour to cut and measure the wood base and assemble it to your liking; another 2-3 hours to assemble everything. If you start early in your day you will finish by the end of the day(6 hours with small water breaks), I think this is a better product than a wood made shed for long term durability. 4 stars, 5 stars is a perfect product. I am satisfied with this buy. it doesnt come with shelfs, only brackets on the wall but you need to buy the actual legs or arms of a shelf and a wood shelf in order to stack things. I wouldnt recommend shelfs unless your stacking small or light items(gardening tools, etc) nothing heavy though. also, take this review as hypercritical because nothing is perfect, alot of details can be improved but this shed is great considering all the pros vs the cons. I paid 800 with taxes, 120 for wood base materials and screws, 920 total (NO DELIVERY FEE, pick it up with a normal sized truck f-150, etc) with free labor by myself and a family member. you cant beat that price for a 10 ft wide by 8 ft tall by 8 ft in depth.

Love our new shed!
5 Star Review   By amborules on Home Depot - Jun 15, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This shed was everything we were looking for, both in price and quality. It was very simple to put together like most other buyers said, but they were right...make sure the ground is level. It made it much easier. With building a base per the instructions on the product website and 2 adults working on it, it took about 4-5 hours total. Love the look! We did bolt it down in each corner to insure stability. It's held up to some decently strong winds. The true test will be in the winter as we live in Buffalo. We're hoping it holds up with whatever snow/winter conditions we may get. Over all, we love it!

Good price, great deal
4 Star Review   By Brandon on Home Depot - Jun 12, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Shed is great. I started off by digging out a 10x8 area and filled that with pebble rock and leveled that off. I then build a 2x4 base and then put a 3/4" pressure treated plywood on top of that and screwed into base. After taking all parts out of box, I started. it DID NOT TAKE the "recommended two hour" assembly. AND you cant build without at LEAST two people. I recommend 3 people and at least one person reading/supervising (maybe a wife or girlfriend). Instead of the recommended "soapy water" to slide the roof into position... scratch that and use WD40. Went much easier that when we tried soapy water. All said and done. Shed went up easy. Fits my motorcycle and a push mower in it along with some shelving (not included). Bought from Home Depot for $748 and after all supplies (rock 2x4,plywood) came to about $950 total.

This took my father and I about 4 hours to put together. If I had to do it again, it would take 2. This fairly easy to put together, and everything fits into place well. Well built for plastic. The guy who said the supports can hold a 180 lb guy clearly made the same mistake as us. There is a top that goes in the center of the skylight when folding...put it in then. We were all done, post high five and beer opening and saw one extra piece...oops. Now its on the center of the roof. Good product. Great price.

4 Star Review   By LonM on Home Depot - May 31, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this shed because I needed to put up a shed quickly before I left my house for an extended period of time. I got exactly what was advertised... a plastic shed. It looks good but I dont think it will be as durable as a wood or metal one. Only time will tell. I was able to install 95 percent of it by myself, but there are a couple times when you need a helper. You definitely need a flat surface to install this shed on, or you will never get it to snap together. I ended having to build a platform to put it on. After having to do that, I was wishing that I had just built a shed myself. Overall I was satisfied, but do not give it a glowing recommendation.

Very Good Shed
4 Star Review   By UpstateNYJTC on Home Depot - May 22, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this shed to replace an old steel shed. Much happier with this one! Instructions are very clear. It took me 4 hours doing most of the work myself. I had 1 friend help lifting the roof support into place and putting the roof panels into place. Roof panels were the toughest to get in but with a little determination we got them in. I'm happy they went in tightly... I don't want the roof to leak. More important than a perfectly level base is a flat base. I put my shed on part of my paved driveway which was in no way perfectly level... No issues because the driveway is mostly flat. Many people here have complained about the tabs on the floor panels. I put the floor together by myself... didn't cut any tabs off. it just takes a little patience and massaging but they went together perfectly... as a matter of fact, all of the parts fit perfectly. I'm not expecting this to be a permanent shed... When I'm ready for something permanent, I will build or buy a secure, larger wooden shed. I wouldn't look at this as a terribly permanent shed... although I would like to get 5 to 10 years out of mine.

Looks great once it's assembled. No leaks yet and my 180lb brother crawled around on the roof and said it felt sturdy underneath him. The skylight was broken when my package came and their "overnight shipping" took a week to get to me, but otherwise customer service was pleasant. We used a gravel pad foundation and while it works, it definitely is not comepletely level. We do plan on pouring a concrete pad eventually and will have it moved onto it. Overall we are very happy and we got a great deal at our local store, definitely was the major decision in purchasing this specific shed.

So far we are really satisfied with this product. It was kind of fun putting it up together. It took us about 3 1/2 hours. We thought we were going to be in trouble since our floor base wasn't exactly level, but that didn't seem to matter as we were able to complete the project with no problems. I definately recommend this shed for others. We are using it as an outside home for our cats.

Legos for Adults
4 Star Review   By Theo on Home Depot - May 21, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Easy to assemble this structurally sound shed... kind of like playing legos for adults! Everything is included in the kit, nothing extra is needed from the store, just need the tools in your tool box. Easy to crack pieces if you put in a piece, then adjust it due to it being backwards or in the wrong place. As soon as you pull it apart, it could crack. Took 6 hours for 2 guys to assemble shed (not including time spent leveling ground and laying out the floor).

Very satisfied
5 Star Review   By Buckeye on Home Depot - May 18, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Found on sale at local home depot after months of researching sheds. Could not pass up. Built wood foundation as US Leisure website recommends. Cut off floor snaps as others have recommended on their reviews. Would recommend two people for at least corners and roof install. Foundation build time 3 hours, shed build time 4 to 5 hours. Had massive thunderstorm two nights after build, no leaks! Great product

Good and rather sturdy shed
4 Star Review   By DanV on Home Depot - May 18, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The shed went up fairly easy. Seems rather sturdy and looks like it will last. Put a few shelves on the rails and used separate shelves too to keep the weight down on the walls. Good value.

great shed, i have had for over a year with out any problems, so far ,no leaks, you must have at least two people to put together, but once it's put together, well worth the money as long as it's built on a smooth area!

This is a real good bargain, it is a quality shed, to the lady who said it took a couple hours is not telling the truth, there is a lot of time reading the directions a dnd sorting parts, the roof takes a lot of time to get together, you need two people to do this, and it took approx. 9 hrs and I have the door to put on yet.

Great price and pure quality
5 Star Review   By MWilly1581 on Home Depot - May 1, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I've been searching for this size resin shed for quite some time. I originally found this one at Costcos but like all things at Costcos...they are gone just as soon as they arrive (seasonal specials) A year later I happened to check online at Homedepot with my wife and sure enough the same shed was on sale for the same price as what Costco had it for. $650 was a steal of a price for the size/quality of shed. Installation and setup was pretty easy. Hardest part though was the floor. The tongue and groove snap setup they have takes some finessing but overall one of the better buys in my opinion. With their steel reinforced bars that go between each panel and a few that actually get fastened inside some panels, this shed has become a really sound and sturdy structure. I wasn't expecting it to be so sturdy but I'm glad it is. The skylight and windows provide a great amount of light inside as well as airflow through to keep the items in the shed a little cooler than outside. You'll definitely want to either level the ground out some or build a platform to install/build this shed onto. Me personally I just assembled on the ground as it was already pretty level to begin with. Overall...2 thumbs up and would suggest this to anyone wanting a budget minded solution and value.

MORE THAN SATISFIED! !!!
5 Star Review   By Chuck732 on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this shed after putting in about 1 month of research. The price is more than fair for an 8x10. You absolutely must build it on a level surface! I built the foundation with pressure treated 2x4 12" on center and 3/4 plywood. It comes in 3 boxes 7'long 30"high 33" wide so it will fit in a pickup up or larger suv. The assembly from start to finish on the shed was about 4 hours with 3 people. Definitely don't attempt to build this without a helper.

Hands down, best Shed for the price
5 Star Review   By brinkg on Home Depot - Apr 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have had many sheds over the years, wood, metal and vinyl. While this is not better than the double walled vinyl shed for twice the price, I liked this one so much I have two on my property. Easy to install, I put it together by myself is a few hours. Buit-in shelf support a great feature which I use. I would not even consider another metal shed, this one is worth the small premium. It is definitely sturdy enough, I have one on my property for 5 years with no issues and plenty of heavy items on the shelves. Shed can be anchored into the ground.

This product was cheap and faster to build then wood shed. But definately isn't the most sturdy or secure.
3 Star Review   By CHAD on Home Depot - Apr 20, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Things didn't line up with ease. And some pieces didn't fit perfect. But overall it went up okay. I'm pretty good at things like this and had my moments and few choices of words. After all said and done. It looks okay. This shed isn't that secure. I'm pretty sure my 6 year old son could break into this thing. The windows are cheesy and could be pooped out without tools. I wont be putting my snowblower or any thing expensive in it because anyone could steal from this thing if they know whats in it. It has plastic clips and screws that strip out. So one good kick and I bet the walls would cave in. Overall it was cheap. Paid $619 with military discount and then built a sub floor for it. If I planned on living in this house more then a few years I might have built something out of wood and more secure. But for the price and size its hard to beat. I gave this a 3 stars because design is cheap and didn't go together perfect and things broke or stripped out. But the price is what makes it worth it. Probably will last a few years too.

Good for the $!
4 Star Review   By Cash on Home Depot - Apr 11, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Just put the shed together yesterday. My tips are as follows: Make sure your foundation is 100% level, DO NOT ATTEMPT WHEN THERE IS ANY WIND!, Take your time and follow instructions. I am happy with the turnout but because I lacked in these area's it took a little longer than I had hoped. Nice shed, roomy, looks good, seems pretty sturdy once metal braces are installed. Make sure you have at least 1 other person, I recommend 2!

Not very good, even though it is cheap.
2 Star Review   By DD1453 on Home Depot - Mar 30, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

1) The instruction does not tell which directions it should be facing, especially when you try to setup the foundation. You can only find that out after you have installed the first quadrant of the shed. But then there is nothing you can do unless you want to demolish the foundation, and reset it from scratch. Here is the tip, the wide side of the foundation should be the front (the 10 feet side is facing front). By the way, the instruction does not have instructions for setting up foundations, you will have to get that from US Leisure's website. 2) The shed does not have a glass or screen window, the skylight is not glass either. It has two windows, but none were glass covered or screen covered, you cannot open the window during summer, insects may coming in. The ventilation piece is completely open to insect as well. 3) There are some open spaces between the roof and side after you the whole shed is setup. You have to caulk it otherwise insects will be coming in through there. 4) The dimensions of the foundation given by us leisure is 2 or 3 inches larger in each side, if you follow the exact same dimension, it will be slightly larger than the floor of the shed, so the subfloor will be exposed to sun and rain, it will decay in no time. 5) The good thing is that it is cheap, it was priced at $699, and I used a 20% coupon from a competitor, HD took it. But I also have to rent a truck from HD to bring it home, which cost another $40 or $50. Considering the light weight of the shed, I've bought a couple of anchors, which will anchor the foundation to the ground, and a couple of big screws to anchor the floor of the shed to the foundation, two pieces of shingles (just in case the foundation is not perfect), so I got it for around $600 overall. I have to admit that It is a pretty good deal. 6) It was very easy to setup, I had a handy friend who helped me to set it up, we spent 6 hours for installation. In addition, I also spent 3 hours to setup the foundation ahead of time, during the day we were installing the first quadrant of the shed, we realized that the direction was not right, but I did not want to spend another 3 hours to change the direction, because all the subfloors had already anchored to the group and screwed together, so we left it that way. We also made a mistake, I left out a small piece from the skylight , I only realized that after everthing else was installed, then the small piece (the small brown rectangle cover for the skylight) won't fit after the skylight had been installed. Eventually we managed to fix it by gluing it to the skylight. Other than these, it was a smooth installation. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this for more than $700, if you want to spend that much money, go to costco. They have one with similar dimensions asking for $749, but it has much better quality. If you don't have memebership, go with a friend who has.

4 Star Review   By Jack on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It took all day to level and build the foundation. the next day it took about four hours to get the shed built. the results were satisfying. The plastic connector pins were a problem because they were hard to install. Use a soapy water solution forneasier connections. be very careful not to break the plastic pieces. I recomend not doing the project unless the temperature will be 50 degrees or higer during the build. the warmer it is the easier the shed will snap together. Keep every as square as you can..

Great Shed
5 Star Review   By JandJW on Home Depot - Jan 1, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My husband and I purchased this shed in the summer of 2010. We went to the US Leisure website and followed their recommendations for the shed flooring. Shed went up in just a few hours with 2 people putting it up pretty easily. Shed continues to look great and be great storage area for us. I waited to write this review because I don't find it helpful when people write a review within a day or two of using the product. We live in IL so last winter the shed withstanded a blizzard with no cracks, damage, or leaking. This summer we had two weeks of record heat, in the low 100's and the shed is still in great shape. The only part of the shed that has been a small issue is the snap together floor, it bubbled in one area, but that just could have been our installation error. The bubbling however is not bad and does not present a tripping hazard. Overall this is a good product, I would recommend it to others.

Good shed, heed reviewers' comments
4 Star Review   By PaddyO on Home Depot - Dec 30, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Shed summary: Nice quality. Windows are a nice touch. Louvered gables help with ventilation. Doors cannot be all that solidly secured. Skylight allows a nice level of ambient light inside. Shop around as price for this item is not the same at all HD stores . Assembly summary: wooden base only needs to be 120” x 96” (not 99” as per the instructions), use soapy water and a rubber mallet, make sure the floor is level, count the hardware before you start, don’t fret if the top shelf support holes don’t line up, and cut the vertical tabs off of the floor panels. Total work time about 4.5 hours, but took longer because a trip for more screws was necessary. Second person helpful for roof installation. I bought this shed for my parents to replace an old (35+ years) thin gauge metal shed with plywood floor that was rusted and rotted through. The HD curb delivery fee is quite high. US Leisure informed me that the pallet of three boxes the shed comes in will fit in a pickup standard bed. I rented a U-Haul and paid a fraction of HD's delivery fee. I built a new wooden floor foundation for this shed on 4 x 4 skids, 2 x 4 joists and 3/4" plywood decking. I agree with another reviewer that the floor should be built at a 96" depth, not 99" as the instructions suggest. The floor included with the shed actually has a small lip that protrudes around the exterior base, so there is no worry of unsupported wall load even if you build the floor a little too small. The advertised outer dimensions are the outer edge of this lip, so the actual exterior wall footprint dimensions are a little smaller than this. I made sure the floor was level. I cannot say how much this contributed to the assembly success, but judging from other reviews and the fact mine was relatively painless, it must have been essential. I fought with the shed's floor panels briefly, realized it was hopeless, and as other have recommended I cut the vertical tabs that are supposed to mate when the panels are pushed together at an angle. An vibrating multi-tool took off all the tabs in a couple of minutes. No integrity seems to be lost by doing this, as the pieces are screwed together later anyway. The walls went up quickly and easily. RR and RL are the same panel, you’ll see labeling on both ends. The top holes of the shelf supports do not quite line up and may lead you to believe you need to hammer the supports down, but don’t as you’ll crack the wall near the floor. The middle and bottom holes will be aligned, and the top is close enough to “pull up” straight after you’ve started the screw at an angle. The roof assembly provided the only minor complications. One of the shorter hex bolts sheared off, and one of the longer hex bolts was missing. To save more trips to the hardware store I did an inventory and mistakenly thought a few more screws were missing as well, but later found that the screws for the door latch pieces were in a bag with the latch itself. Soapy water and a hard rubber mallet help a lot with the roof panels. After hammering one side all the way in, if the skylight has pushed away and not mated, hammer in the opposing panel and things will come together. I had only one single snap that would not quite make it, but squeezing from underneath with channel locks was the remedy. The holes in the latch pieces are too small for the provided screws. I drilled them out a little bit so the screws would work. After completion, when the doors are closed the latch plates are still too far apart for the latch to work, and they must be squeezed together by hand while turning the latch. The sliding door latch pins that hold one door closed from the inside fit very snugly and are difficult to operate. Without these pins engaged, the doors can be pulled outward quite far even with the main latch closed. Even when using all latches and pins, the doors do not feel all that secure. That would be my only complaint.

Very big inside
4 Star Review   By Rocky on Home Depot - Dec 29, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I originally bought this shed for my ATV to fit in, so we could park in the garage. This shed made my huge ATV look like a little kids ATV. Tons of room. After loading half of my garage in there, and my quad. I found ways to "sturdy" the doors and add another latch / lock. Words of wisdom, make a sturdy floor to mount the shed to, square and level! This shed takes about 4 hours to put together. I did NOT do the last step of "Install plastic clips, repeat process 134 times" Screw those clips.

Good Looking Shed
5 Star Review   By Jason on Home Depot - Dec 15, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Read some of the other reviews on here before i purchased this shed. When i opened the 3 boxes and saw the book of instructions i thought, this might take a while! It actually isn't that bad. 2 people will make the job much more pleasant. I started the job by myself ( Got the Floor together and the walls up) then my father in law helped out. Building the trusses and truss supports is a lot easier with help .Also installing the roof panels is much easier with a second pair of hands. All together i think we had it completely finished in about 4 hours. My advice would be take your time and read the directions thoroughly as you go. I will say some of the connections were a little challenging snapping together, but with a little "convincing" they went were they needed to go. Cordless screwdriver is also a big time saver! Shed looks good and it wont rust or get Termites!!

Built in one day with the help of my 10 year old grandson. Once you get the first panel, installation was quick. Wind gust will cause difficulty so try to do the work on a calm day. Rubber/composite mallet is very useful. I think I will put some acrylic caulk around the top of the panels just for extra waterproofing.

I'm 65 with chronic emphysema but with 2 ½ days and following the instructions I prepped, unpacked, and assembled the entire thing myself. I did need help moving the ¾ in plywood floor pieces but that was all. The plastic floor was the toughest. I took my skill saw and removed some of the locking tabs so the pieces would snap together (they are screwed together anyway). Soapy water definitely helps assembly. Be sure to follow the instructions and WALA ... a nice new “non rusting” shed.

Do as others say and use rubber mallet to pound in the pieces of the floor and add the screws as you go along. Snap the left- and right-hand side of the floor together for all three sections. Get all three pieces of the skylight before snapping together. The center section is darker in color and not white. Put roof together according to instructions by inserting the center piece first. Add soapy water to the ends and both sides of the roof to enable it to slide into place easier.
