Not your standard fiberglass shower stall!
5 Star Review   By Bill on Home Depot - Feb 5, 2013

After reading the previous reviews, and looking at the floor models @ Home Depot, I was still a bit skeptical about this shower unit. I installed this for my Mother who was recovering from hip replacement surgery and not able to lift her leg to get into a regular tub/shower setup. She lives in a small community where there is limited access to hardware stores, so I was a bit nervous with this project. I had heard of the concerns about damage during shipment, but when the shipment arrived, my fears were removed. This unit came in 3 different boxes, and all 3 were strapped inside of a custom wood crate that held everything in place and prevented unneccesary movement. As others have pointed out, be sure your walls are square! I checked that the corners were square, but diid not check to ensure that the walls were plumb (which they weren't). There is a small amount of forgiveness in this, they do not have to be absolutely perfectly square, but make sure you buy some shims to take up the voids between the shower and the studs. My back wall was out of square due to the left side end wall was out of plumb by over an inch. I had to rebuild that wall before I could continue with the install of the shower backwall. Once the walls were ready, the install was straightforward. I had no isue with aligning the joints between the back wall and the end walls. They slid right into place. The install of the shower including installing a new shower valve, moving the drain, and installing a grab bar took about 6 hours. I spent 2 days on prep before hand, in removing the old tub. removing the old shower valve, and removing the old wall coverings which was a combination of sheetrock covered with white shower wall boards. I would not hesitate to install another one of these, in fact, I will keep it in mind for my own house when it is time to remove my one piece shower/tub fixtures! I listed my experience level as professional, but this is the first time I have installed this type of product. I have replaced shower walls with the 3 piece shower panels before, but this was my first total replacement project. I have 30+ years in Building Maintenance experience which did in fact help, but this would not have been that hard of a project for the average DIY'er!

Great Value for the money
4 Star Review   By Cara on Home Depot - Dec 4, 2012

I love how this shower has 6 shelves to put things on. The install was pretty easy, but we did have to pour a concrete bed for a level floor underneath. I gave value a 4 because the shower did not come with a drain. They are not expensive (I paid $8), but it was frustrating trying to find one in the box and realizing there wasn't one!

The shower stall is very sturdy and we are very pleased with the quality. Delivery was quite long as it left Ohio on a train the to a distribution center then to our home.

Good unit ....Install was hard
5 Star Review   By Pete on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

Shower was good but install was a hard due to a out of square shower alcove. If I had to do it all over again I would install a 55" shower and build the wall out to square. That being said once the alcove was square in went right in .The smooth walls clean easy and it drains really fast, plenty of shelve space for my wifes stuff. If you can remove the old shower first and check that the walls are square and how much room you have that would be the best way to order or buy

nice shower kit, packaging sketchy
4 Star Review   By DIYERinHouston on Home Depot - Mar 22, 2011

The assembly of the shower is straight-forward and the interconnections are tight & effective. I like this shower-kit, but for this DIY'r, the installation details were trickier than I assumed. some hints from my experiences (a) finalize the rough-in valve placement AFTER the shower-wall is dry-fit, then no ugly suprises. (b) triple-check framing is square & plumb. (c) use high quality drain kit, and follow the instructions

Nice looking and easy to install
5 Star Review   Home Depot

We received the shower in a week, examined it carefully, and all 3 packages arrived fine. Easy to carry and easy to install. It looks wonderful!! We used bronze hardware to give it an even nicer look and the shower door with bronze trim and designer glass made this shower look outstanding! The instructions were easy to understand and Sterlings hot line service was a great help as well. This shower with it's shelves and good looks is very kind to a budget, just add a little bling in the hardware and you have a shower to be proud of. AND it's all paid for!!!

One in current home and putting one in new home
4 Star Review   By DoubleShower on Home Depot - Jan 26, 2010

Five years ago we had this shower unit installed in our current home. We love it. It is roomy, has nice foot rests and plenty of feet room on the floor and plenty of shelf space for our soaps and shampoos. The sides stay clean - no spots. We only have 3 problems with the shower: (1) Leaks - Where the sides meet the bottom tray in the front has leaked some and damaged the walls. We recaulked and fixed the walls, and yet there is still additional water damage. (2) Also, the bottom squeaks when walking around, but it is not bad. (3) Lastly, the caulk in the corners has turned black in spots and we cannot get it clean, but that is probably a problem with the caulk and not the shower. We look forward to having it in our new home as well. This time we may put something underneath the base to prevent the squeaking.

Curve shower
5 Star Review   By msrngtp2002 on Home Depot - Nov 21, 2009

This is the heaviest shower I have worked with. Most are made of light fiberglass or plastic. This unit is heavy duty. Only problem I have is that there are no framing or assembly instructions with it. Can't find them online either so it's go at it best I can! It is a nice shower unit though. Easy to handle for installation with the 4 pieces - no one piece is so heavy that it can't be handled by one person. I ordered it online and it was shipped to my place of work. Came in 3 cartons. One was kind of bulky with the support structure that was built on to it, but not hard to handle. I would recommend this to anyone and in fact a co-worker has purchased the same brand but in a standard size due to it's heavy construction.
