Home Depot shipped this free, which is a big deal as they already had their competitors price beat, their competitor wanted 80.? Plus to ship. It's a heavy duty comfrtable, easy to install fixture..which DOES NOT come with a seat. I bought the quiet close seat at HD.

New Technology on Toilets
If you are remodling or replacing toilets, this class 5 technology from Kohler is a great choice!

Works as described!
Installation was a little tricky as the tank was tight against the wall. With a little modification to the wall, install was easy.

Good, but the toilet seat did not fit
I love my Kohler Cimarron comfort height toilet. I also bought the recommended toilet seat, but it does not seem to fit. I would hesitate buying the toilet for that reason, unless you can find another toilet seat that fits.

Decided to have plumber install it but on observation, it looked very straightforward for someone who knows what he or she is doing. I'd spoken with Kohler rep before buying and was assured that recently built Cimarrons with type five flush mechanism use the same flush system as the "type six" which was briefly produced and then discontinued. Clean-off during flushes seems better than what complaints suggest, confirming what Kohler rep said. Still not as good as other Kohlers we own or other brands we've seen, but not so terrible. Flush is quick and effective on waste. Odd behavior started after four days of use. Suddenly, toilet became clogged and would not flush properly although water and refuse could be pushed down with plunging [20-30 minutes!]. Called plumber who snaked it multiple times from bowl and even unbolted and turned it upside down to snake it from the bottom; all to no avail. When I called Kohler, the tech suggested that something may be interfering with the venting, which the toilet evidently depends upon to promote full flush. I'd planned to examine the vent pipe over the weekend but two days later one of my family members tried flushing it and "lo and behold", it worked. It has continued to flush since then [5 days] and has handled all relevant refuse. If it clogs again without evidence of physical problem, I'll return to add to my review. If it does clog, checking the venting might be a good idea even if self-correction is probable or possible. Despite this odd experience, this model K-3589 is excellent value at the price and HD offers free delivery.
