The stapler performed well. Staplers went in deep and held the curtains that I was placing at the top of rim of the veranda.

Good Staple Gun

With what I have tried so far this is a good staple gun. Not much jamming and works as expected. The price was also good for a dewalt brand.

Fantastic Staple gun
5 Star Review   By Pete on Home Depot - May 7, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This staple gun is very easy to use and it is easy to squeeze out the staples, not like some of the other ones where you have to have a good grip and squeeze really hard. If I had to buy another one it would be this one. A great buy and worth the money

Excellent product. I used to spend extra money paying service techs doing other jobs within my home to tack loose wires to the wall or under the carpet. Now I can do these odd jobs myself....yay me, lol

The product is very hard to squezze
1 Star Review   By GERARDTI1 on Home Depot - Apr 21, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The product is very hard to squeeze and does not have the driving power for larger staples. It is bulky and not user friendly. I took mine back to the store because I know I will not be using it again, unless I want to use it to hang in the garage as part of the decoration. My neighbor let me used an Arrow T50X model and was exactly what I wanted. It is easy to handle, easy to squeeze and the staples sunk without a problem. I am even going to buy one for my wife

3 Star Review   By tiny017 on Home Depot - Apr 17, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The only shortcoming of this product is that if you have shorter fingers or smaller hands it is difficult to hold it and squeeze the handle at the same time. It needs to have a shorter span to be able to fully grip it.

Will not last
1 Star Review   By GoSpurs on Home Depot - Mar 17, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this stapler in the summer and this winter started a project. I was stapling attic foil to create a radiant barrier in my attic. The stapler worked flawlessly for about 90% of the project then completely stopped feeding staples. It was not jammed, and the spring kept tension on the loaded staples to feed them properly but it simple quit feeding. I had put less than two boxes of staples through it. Since this was older than 90 days, and I did not have my receipt I could not return it. I thought Dealt had quality products, I guess I was wrong. If I am buying a product made in China I think I will try Harbor Freight since they are about 1/3 the price of Dewalt. Can't be any worse.

More misfires then staples
1 Star Review   By Socca13 on Home Depot - Mar 5, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I thought this would be a great purchase, it is a Dewalt afterall. However I was wrong, I found that this thing would misfire or jam 75% of the time using it. And then right when i was about to throw it across the room it would surprise and work fine, until i was in an awkward position again and it wouldnt fire a staple. Also i found it extremely hard to aim.

horrible product, jammed on the first try. went to take it apart to clear jam and the internals were all over the place. I have never had any problems with dewalt products before, maybe this is a fluke.

Can't go wrong with DWALT. Stapler works great, is easy to use. Haven't used the nail gun feature yet. Used the stapler for an upholstery project and was very pleased with the ease in which the stapler worked. Excellent value.

Sturdy and Well Built
4 Star Review   By BSARider on Home Depot - Dec 31, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I purchased this to replace a B&D Power Shot that had went missing. After reading the reviews, I chose this one. It works well and is built well. I did experience an occasional problem on not shooting a staple. It is still good value for the money. I only give it a four star rating as I still needed to finish driving the staples with a hammer. I was stapling upholstery onto 1/2" plywood using the recommended 3/8" T50 staples. My Arrow T25 used to staple coax cable works great. I recommend it for anyone needing to install RG-11 coax TV cable. This DeWalt stapler works good for its intended home use. For Pro use I would recommend an air stapler.

great staple/brad gun
5 Star Review   By beth12662 on Home Depot - Dec 25, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This is a fantastic brad gun. It is easy to use and I got a great price at Home Depot. I made some drawer dividers out of oak strips for my kitchen drawers. It easily drove the brads all the way in. I like the fact that it is not electrical which makes it easier to use. I haven't used it as a stapler yet but I am sure that it will be great as well.

Pretty Good!
4 Star Review   By amy195b on Home Depot - Dec 23, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Using for upholstery. The staples are set back from the edge, which makes it hard to place a staple with accuracy (as when trying to hit that hole in the curve-ease), but almost never jambs and drives the staples fully.

The reviews are right on this gun!
5 Star Review   By Russellville on Home Depot - Nov 24, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Due to hand strength issues, I bought a Stanley staple gun as it was easiest to squeeze. Unfortunately, it didn't drive staples well at all. The husband complained about my gun so we purchased the Dewalt gun, mainly based on HD reviews. I'm happy to say, the reviews are right :-) This gun is awesome! Its first use was installing fiberglass insulation under our home. 30 rolls of insulation and approximately 1500 staples later, in sandy and dusty conditions, I can honestly say this gun never misfired or had problems. We wore the paint off in places during this task! The Stanley gun will go to grandpa's farm now. This Dewalt gun is the only one to buy.

Really like this Stapler
5 Star Review   By tomk on Home Depot - Nov 6, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This was purchased to replace my old heavy duty Arrow. This stapler has a more convenient loading function and it is easy to check staple supply. Nice easy stapling action with just as much force. And lighter than the HD Arrow. Cool colors, to.

The Only Staple Gun To Consider Buying
5 Star Review   By AussieLady on Home Depot - Sep 24, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I was thoroughly frustrated with my Arrow HD stapler and determined to find something better. The Arrow was staple, miss, jam, miss, miss, staple, miss, jam, repeat. So after reading the reviews of staple guns on Home Depot's website, I purchased the DEWALT Heavy Duty Staple/Nail Gun and it is everything the other reviewers said it was. It not only loads very easily, but you can actually SEE the staples, and you can SEE and FIX if there is any type of jam. Although after reupholstering six of my dining chairs using the DEWALT, there was only one jam and I was able to pull the staple out quickly and easily. While using the DEWALT it was staple, staple, staple, staple, staple. No misses and just the one small jam. What a difference! If you're looking for a decent staple gun, the DEWALT is the only one to consider.

No better than the others
3 Star Review   By StapleGuy on Home Depot - Aug 19, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Thought this one would be an improvement over past staple guns, but after two projects, I don't think it is. The gun is typical of a manual staple gun - challenging to squeeze, and wants to fly off the material. As a result, many of the staples are not fully engaged. Even worse when my wife tried to use it. Also, several times the staples have failed to even engage - takes repeated reseating to get them to work. No better or worse than prior guns (Craftsman & Stanley)

Just bought this gun
5 Star Review   By Tubfun on Home Depot - Aug 9, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I can't wait to use it tomorrow with all the great reviews. The arrow guns i've been using always jam or don't take a full sleeve of staples and won't shoot the staple in completely leaving with me having to hammer in little staple. I bought it on a whim and then saw all these reviews! Getting excited over using a staple gun may seem silly but I'm so excited to use it tomorrow!

Very well made
5 Star Review   By BrownGirl on Home Depot - Aug 4, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My father was a contractor and he always used DeWalt products, that was my first reason to purchase. The price was excellent and after reading the many reviews I knew this was the staple gun to purchase. I cannot be happier it works great and is easy to load. I do wish the stores carried this model, it was frustrating that I had to order it online.

great tool
4 Star Review   By yymemory on Home Depot - Jul 3, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I've used this staple gun for a month now, with nails and staples, not a single jam! The reason I give it 4/5 is that it's a little heavy for my wife. It requires some grip strength to use.

MUCH better than the Arrow products
4 Star Review   By FallCityMike on Home Depot - Jul 1, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I had enough jamming with my heavy duty Arrow T-50PBN. I researched and bought this with the hopes of having fewer jams and more efficient work. YES!! Still jams about 5% of the time with 1/4" staples but thats much better than 25% with the Arrow brand. Only peave I have is that the stapling point is a bit set back from the leading edge of the unit (about 1/4"). You get used to it but it also means it won't place the staple or brad in a tight location. The Arrow does this much better. Small trade off. Reloading is super simple. No dropped spring plunger. reloading window helps determine if you had a jam or are out of staples. THe rubber grip helps. The lock mechanism is simple and effective. Works with the Stanley and Arrow staples I had on hand. No adjustment on drive force. Seems a bit weak but I'm OK with that as long as it doesn't jam. Too bad not many places sell the DeWalt and Arrow has vastly greater market penetration.

This thing rocks!
5 Star Review   By TimL on Home Depot - Jun 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Finding a decent staple gun in this price range can be an exercise in futility. They all seem to have a fatal flaw. Some jam; others don't have the power to plant a staple in anything thicker than cardboard. Not so with this competitively priced DeWalt model. This thing staples just about anything and it does so flawlessly every time. I use it primarily for attaching canvas to frames, an application for which it is perfectly suited, but I can imagine using it for many other applications as well. If you're in need of a staple gun, you can't go wrong with this one.

Better than Arrow brand staplers
4 Star Review   By AaBe on Home Depot - Jun 19, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

For years I have used the large chrome Arrow brand hand staplers and yellow slap hammmer staplers, shooting the T-50 staples. I am in the construction trades, so my tools get heavy use. The Arrows' staplers consistantly get jammed up, the cotter pins and holding circlips eventually loosen up and fall out, and the spring loaded staple pusher can bounce out of your hands and off the scaffold into the bushes. Well, the dewalt gun has none of these problems, so it's a great step in the right direction. It feels heavy duty, you can't lose the staple spring loader, and it consistantly fires. And the price is comparable. My Arrow staple guns just went to metal recylcing.

Way better than the Arrow Powershot.
4 Star Review   By nicholasname on Home Depot - May 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought the DeWalt to replace an Arrow Powershot that could only spit out a few staples before jamming. By contrast, the DeWalt is much easier to load and works great. Recommended.

A Stapler that WORKS
5 Star Review   By Paulblo on Home Depot - Apr 17, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

After purchasing and using 2 electric and 3 manual staplers this one actually works and works well! No jamming, no multiple staples and no partial inserts. It just does what all of the others should have done. My only problem has been that the regional HD don't carry this product. I had to order it but it came fast and was cheaper than Amazon!

Top Notch Tool
5 Star Review   By Rieg21 on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This stapler is high quality. It is easily the best stapler that I have ever used. It delivers staples flush into pine without much effort. I have not tried it on hardwood yet. But, considering the ease with which it puts staples into common framing materials, I would say this stapler lacks nothing. It also has the ability to fasten using brads. I have not tried that function. The Home Depot price of $19.99 was unbeatable.

TERRIFIC !
5 Star Review   By TomThumb on Home Depot - Jan 23, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I had bought 2 other brand models just before this. They both seemed to jam up after a dozen shots. I searched for an hour on the web to find reviews and feedback on staple guns and the best reference I found was this site, whereby feedback was provided by 7 respondents, and ALL 7 were very positive. Of course I had to see for myself - and I was pleasantly surprised. This gun works flawlessly. I've shot several hundred staples and with every pull I say to myself "is this going to be the shot that jams?". But guess what? Each shot was PERFECT. My satisfaction with this tool has significantly increased my faith in the Home Depot review system, as well as DeWalt products.

I bought this when my wife needed me to put up the Christmas lights "the right way". Well to my delight, this staple gun is a bit too powerful for my intended purpose -- the staples cut into the wire for my lights. That was my incompetence and not the fault of the gun by any means. Since then, I have found many things to staple (it's interesting what you can staple when you put your mind to it). I cannot wait until I have a project where I can play with the nail tacking.

Probably the best staple gun you can buy for under $20

Great feature set including nails and staples and easy squeeze trigger. Blew through a few hundred staples and fixed all the trim in my house with the nail feature. I replaced my expensive electric staple gun with this because it just works better.

The best staple gun i have ever used.

I searched the web for staple guns because i have never used one that did not require to sometimes finish driving the staples with a hammer. This gun allowed me to staple plastic garden fencing to a combination redwood frame and treated outdoor posts without using a hammer. Using previous staple guns i needed to finsh driving many of the staples with a hammer particularly in the walmanized posts. i also did not have any jambing of the gun or misfiring. The instructions were also helpful in obtaining the proper length of staples to use for a stapling operation.

I got this tackler, because I have been working with half inch backboards for cabinets & several wood projects (doll houses, cubby storage furniture). Got tired of nailing with a hammer, so I decided to give this tool a try, because of the steel brands option. I had used a stapler before & liked it, but I had not seen one that used steel brands. Well, I love this tool. I have used both staples & the steel brands equally on cabinet finishes & shelves. This tool has worked wonders for me. I wished that I hadn’t waited so long on getting it. I wished that it could accept longer brands beside the 1/2 & 5/8 that are allowable, but not a big deal. I also like its sturdy design. Everyone should have one of these in their tool arsenal.
