Wonderful Board
5 Star Review   By Chinamuzik on Adorama - Oct 19, 2013

This is my practice and gig board, it actually replaced my Roland XP-80 and Roland Juno Stage...I love that it's very similar to my Motif ES, very compatible, so very easy to use and set up. I love the fact that it's light weight, not as light as Roland Juno but for 88 keys, it's extremely light. The only thing i dont like about the MO X is da power chord, it's not sturdy enough (for me).

Excellent instrument for the price!
4 Star Review   By Blutoband on Adorama - Aug 15, 2013

I've been a Yamaha user for a number of years. Started with S90, then the S90ES. Bought this because of the virtually same features, minus the weight. Features the fabulous Motif soundbank (though I'm still using my Roland JV-880 for power horn section- why can't anyone else get this right?). The 64-voice polyphony is limiting- I wish I could set up a "big" sequence and play full-fisted piano with it without worrying about parts/notes disappearing. Also, the other day I was trying to set up a Performance (layer) of piano & strings that would allow me to assign the strings volume to one of the assignable knobs. After poring through the manual(s), which are not very step-by-step oriented, I called Yamaha Support (always excellent). The tech told me that it wasn't possible- the only way would be to enter Edit Mode (on the fly) and affect the volume change from there!! (To his credit, the tech said he was also very surprised that this option had been left out.) Despite my small frustrations, I would heartily recommend the MOX8 to anyone looking for an entry-priced instrument that really performs!

Great affordable workstation
4 Star Review   By stilljb on Adorama - Aug 4, 2013

This was a very good workstation at a great price, but in the end I took it back for the better keybed/Action of the Yamaha S90XS.

Excellent Grand Piano Sound and More
5 Star Review   By rogers1313 on Adorama - May 14, 2013

This keyboard had a fantastic grand piano sound. I found the this keyboard coupled with Yamaha Stagepas 500 PA speakers makes this as good as having 9 foot grand piano. The touch can be set in the Utility section to make the piano feel like a Steinway or

I am going to make this straight to the point: Good: Over 1000 Great sounds, decent sound quality, easy to use sequencer(s) (linear and pattern based), good musical Ideas (128 X 2 Bank Performance presets). Plays well, with Sonar and Cubase, supports 64 a

wonderful keyboard
5 Star Review   By Eric # on Adorama - Mar 31, 2013

Love it as I work till so late to get home. I can play the Mox8 with the headphone to enjoy my time. It will be great if it comes with even better weighted key system/type like the Balanced Hammer Effect Keyboard...it will be more than perfect~

I love a light weight Motif XS
5 Star Review   By Jazzy Jack on Adorama - Mar 15, 2013

I am a long time Yamaha keyboard user and supporter. So, choosing a light weight version of the Motif XS is a no brainer for me. Since I own so many Yamaha keyboards, I was actual considering buying something else, just for sake of trying something new. K
