Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar
5 Star Review   By member craig54 - Apr 15, 2008

Strengths: This is a fine example of an exquisite Yamaha guitar. The fit and finish are outstanding, tone is deep and mellow, and action is perfect right out of the box.

Weakness: Haven’t found any yet.

For me, this guitar just feels right… it immediately became an extension of who I am. It’s beautiful, it smells good, and it has a voice beyond compare. I couldn’t help falling in love with this guitar. It’s definitely a keeper. Oh, did I mention it only cost $199? I challenge you to compare the Yamaha FG700S to any solid top guitar costing far more.

4 Star Review

Strengths: Good sound

Great guitar for beginners and mid-level players. Guitar sounds pretty good. However, not quite as loud as a number of slightly more expensive guitars. Overall, good guitar for the money. I paid 200

My first guitar, and I am a musician
4 Star Review

Strengths: Great sound. Like a good piano, you sound good because the instrument sounds good.

Weakness: I cannot name any. A $500 guitar did not sound any better to me.

I am a trumpet player. I perform around the Seattle area. Decided I should get a guitar for my kids because our house is too small for a piano. Needed to get something for them to learn on. I went down to American Music here in town. They pointed me to this model and I am hooked. I play this thing 30 minutes a day. Sounds great just playing single notes from Hal Leonard book 1. You can spend more and not get as much. You could spend less and not get nearly the sound. I like the classic look too. Gotta go play it...
