Pieces missing

I ordered this product via an online retailer based in Seattle and it arrived just before Christmas. My 4 year old was thrilled, and could not wait for me to assemble it. Christmas in ToyTown Set

The set was adorable and we thought we'd buy it as a Christmas tradition to be set up around the tree every year. When we got it out of the packaging, the engine/motor in the train did not work. It was very disappointing. I'm not sure if the manufacture will replace the train - we bought it in 2010 and opened it in 2011 for around our Christmas Tree.
