After reading the previous reviews, and looking at the floor models @ Home Depot, I was still a bit skeptical about this shower unit. I installed this for my Mother who was recovering from hip replacement surgery and not able to lift her leg to get into a regular tub/shower setup. She lives in a small community where there is limited access to hardware stores, so I was a bit nervous with this project. I had heard of the concerns about damage during shipment, but when the shipment arrived, my fears were removed. This unit came in 3 different boxes, and all 3 were strapped inside of a custom wood crate that held everything in place and prevented unneccesary movement. As others have pointed out, be sure your walls are square! I checked that the corners were square, but diid not check to ensure that the walls were plumb (which they weren't). There is a small amount of forgiveness in this, they do not have to be absolutely perfectly square, but make sure you buy some shims to take up the voids between the shower and the studs. My back wall was out of square due to the left side end wall was out of plumb by over an inch. I had to rebuild that wall before I could continue with the install of the shower backwall. Once the walls were ready, the install was straightforward. I had no isue with aligning the joints between the back wall and the end walls. They slid right into place. The install of the shower including installing a new shower valve, moving the drain, and installing a grab bar took about 6 hours. I spent 2 days on prep before hand, in removing the old tub. removing the old shower valve, and removing the old wall coverings which was a combination of sheetrock covered with white shower wall boards. I would not hesitate to install another one of these, in fact, I will keep it in mind for my own house when it is time to remove my one piece shower/tub fixtures! I listed my experience level as professional, but this is the first time I have installed this type of product. I have replaced shower walls with the 3 piece shower panels before, but this was my first total replacement project. I have 30+ years in Building Maintenance experience which did in fact help, but this would not have been that hard of a project for the average DIY'er!

Great Value for the money
I love how this shower has 6 shelves to put things on. The install was pretty easy, but we did have to pour a concrete bed for a level floor underneath. I gave value a 4 because the shower did not come with a drain. They are not expensive (I paid $8), but it was frustrating trying to find one in the box and realizing there wasn't one!

Very good product
The shower stall is very sturdy and we are very pleased with the quality. Delivery was quite long as it left Ohio on a train the to a distribution center then to our home.

Good unit ....Install was hard
Shower was good but install was a hard due to a out of square shower alcove. If I had to do it all over again I would install a 55" shower and build the wall out to square. That being said once the alcove was square in went right in .The smooth walls clean easy and it drains really fast, plenty of shelve space for my wifes stuff. If you can remove the old shower first and check that the walls are...

Looks great, easy install
Our old shower stall base cracked. Bought this as a replacement. Handymen installed in about a day and it looks great!
