THIS PRODUCT IS MADE BY THE COCA COLA COMPANY...
1 Star Review   By CCinCA on Vitacost - Feb 26, 2013

We have had many side effects (our whole family) from this product.Do your research. Google this product. I returned this. I will not support Coca Cola. Why do they not put their name on this product so you can know who is behind the manufacturing? Do not find out the hard way. Just be cautious. I take many measures to only put organic, whole foods into my growing children. I was mislead in thinking this is the same as Stevia, and that is farthest from the truth. I would give this a zero rating if I could. But don't believe me, google and research for yourself! many blessings...

Superb flavor and quality!
5 Star Review   By Minna on Vitacost - Sep 8, 2012

I think this is my favorite powder Stevia sweetener yet! I highly recommend it. I hope its as healthy as it seems it is. I heard from health-guru's that anything that's processed is not "great" even liquid and powder Stevia's. I can't vouch for any of that knowledge about this product but I can definitely say it tastes great.I use it in my coffee, hot cereals and to sweeten batter for pancakes, waffles or french toast.

Great Product!
5 Star Review   By ajearly on Vitacost - Jun 27, 2012

Truvia was recommended to me by several MD's and Holistic practioners. My dear hubby has been a sugar addict for 30 + years. He had a bad skin rash that would not go away even after a multitude of trips to doctors, specialists and a trip to Urgent Care. After switching to Truvia and cutting out all sugars (except natural sugars) in his diet, the rash is gone! Not sure if the skin clearing was due to the sugar elimination alone or other supplements and food eliminations, but the bottom line is he is now feeling healthier and loving TRUVIA! It is the only natural sugar that he will eat.

Terrible Product of ConAgra & CarGill
1 Star Review   By MrTex on Vitacost - Mar 15, 2012

I bought this product several months ago, thinking it was real stevia. How mistaken I was. Soon after I began using it, I developed terrible sore throats that I tried many remedies to get rid of, before tracing the problem back to TruVia. I found out that this is NOT real stevia, it's a highly processed extract of the reb. a part of the stevia plant, mixed in with erythritol: a GM (genetically modified) sugar alcohol. All this is a production of CarGill (a supcompany of the Coca Cola company), which has a history of putting highly processed foods out into the market. This is nothing but a faux sweetener that is no better for you than sucralose or aspartame. If you want real stevia, look for 100% organic, non-GMO with no artificial additives. If it's sold next to the name brand sweeteners, it's probably not good for you. I had to go out of my way to find organic stevia. This stuff is TOXIC, and I'm not making this up. My experience with this product is 100% truthful.

Tried Truvia because I had seen it on the Dr. Oz Show, and ordered it through Vita cost because it came in a larger quantity and better price. It is very good and I do not notice any after-taste. Plus the product came very fast from this company, and I will definitely do business with them again.

Truvia, truly good!
5 Star Review   By Jdglibra on Vitacost - Jan 5, 2011

I've tried about 5 or 6 different brands of stevia. Truvia blows them all away, by a mile! With other brands, I always tasted the bitter aftertaste. I don't with Truvia. I would never use any other stevia product.

Best Tasting Sugar Sub
5 Star Review   By Bobbie1 on Vitacost - Sep 30, 2010

I Started using Stevia products in April 2010.There are many out there. This by far is the best tasting. My test is to dip a Strawberry in the product. If it tastes like sugar you get my vote and Truvia wins hands down.

Tastes great but stalls out weight loss
2 Star Review   By prosperouswoman on Vitacost - Sep 21, 2010

I love the taste of Truvia! I was stoked to find it here on vitacost at such a great price. I stocked up and started telling all my friends about it. One responded she was allergic because of the msg in it. I thought there is not msg. Well after doing some research I found that "Natural flavorings" is what msg hides behind. If you want to know more you can read my blog www.rondajane.com/blog. Such a bummer. In my research I also found that msg is a type of sodium and it not only will stall your weight loss but can make you gain weight. Not the results I was looking for. I had wondered why I was not losing all of a sudden after I started using it.

Best sugar substitute ever!
5 Star Review   By radcatz on Vitacost - Sep 7, 2010

Truvia is the next best thing to sugar without the calories. It looks like sugar and, most importantly, tastes like sugar. I also don't get migraine headaches with Truvia like I did with the other sweetners. Truvia is an answer to prayer for me in maintaining my weight and also helping me to lose weight as I've lost 65lbs.

No after taste
5 Star Review   By busywifeandmom on Vitacost - Jun 13, 2010

I love this blend for my sweetening needs. A little too pricey as a product for use in baking, but I use it in my drinks and to sweeten cereal or berries. I was getting this at Walmart, but with all the products that I'm buying from Vitacost lately I was thrilled to see that they had it at a much better price.

5 Star Review   By ChildOfJesus on Vitacost - May 12, 2010

Truvia is my favorite sweetener of all this year, as I have tried to eliminate most sugar in my diet. I am a big coffee/tea drinker, and need just a teeny, tiny bit of Truvia to make it perfect. I really like the value of this product, as I'm able to use one packet for three cups of coffee or tea!

Good product, needs time to dissolve
4 Star Review   By purplehaze2007 on Vitacost - Dec 6, 2009

Looks exactly like granulated white sugar and has the same texture. Flavor was very good. Only drawback is that it needs a couple of minutes to dissolve (I was using it to sweeten yogurt) and it will be gritty if you don't wait long enough to let it melt.

DO YOUR RESEARCH
1 Star Review   By hazel2 on Vitacost - Dec 6, 2009

I bought two boxes of this product, like the taste, but had unbelievably overwhelming carb cravings while using "Truvia". I did some research and this is NOT, NOT the same old stevia I have been using so faithfully...the "CARGILL" on the bottom of the box is a dead give away. Do your research before buying this product. Many have also reported extremelt uncomfortable digestive complaints while using.

Great sweetener, great value
5 Star Review   By Pumpkin45 on Vitacost - Sep 4, 2009

I started a diet that does not allow artificial sweeteners, so I started looking at products made from Stevia (which is an herb; a natural sweetener). I was happy to see that my favorite online vitamin store sold this product, because I had actually heard of this brand. The price was right and I received the product extremely fast (as usual), and the product works great. The smell of the sweetener actually reminds me of cotton candy, and it tastes delicious in iced tea, coffee and my personal favorite: sprinkled over some fresh or defrosted frozen strawberries. I have also used it in a few recipes that called for sugar, and it worked great. I was worried that a sweetener made from an herb wouldn't taste as good as the ones I'm used to but it is just as good, or maybe even better than Splenda, which is made from sugar, or Equal which I believe is just a chemical. There is no herbal taste whatsoever. I would highly recommend this product to anyone trying to find a healthier and more natural alternative to artificial sweeteners. I will definitely be purchasing more when I start to run low, and look forward to seeing this product sold in bulk form (instead of packets) to purchase for ease of use in baking and cooking.

Too Expensive
4 Star Review   By Micko on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

Although the product arrived in good condition, and I like the bigger packaging. The cost per Packet wasnt really all that good after shipping, I can get it cheaper at the local Schnucks grocery store when on sale. Will not order again unless price comes down.

A good deal!
5 Star Review   By decafd1 on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

This product is an excellent version of stevia. It mixes easily, but is more like sugar in texture than the powdered stevia. It also has none of the bitter taste you can get with the white powdered Stevia: NICE!

Wonderfully Surprised!!!
5 Star Review   By AverageUSConsumer on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I am always skeptical when it comes to sweetners, but since Truvia is made from a natural plant I thought I would give Truvia a try and I am glad I did. The product is no different than refined sugar. When you open a packet there is a sweet smell to the product and at first I was skeptical, but now that I have been using Truvia I love it and have reduced my caloric intake dramatically. I would like to see Truvia sold in bulk as this would significantly reduce cost. I don't care for the individual packets. Time will tell.

Will give you gas
1 Star Review   By Snowleopard on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

Not a healthy choice if you have digestive problems already. If you can't digest sugar alcohols than don't buy this product. It contains the sugar alcohol Erythritol which will give most people abdominal discomfort and gas/bloating. You will be better off using a stevia product that contains FOS (inulin, a fruit fiber). " Truvia ", like Splenda, is made buy a large commercial company and has not been tested long term for human consumption. Research Cargill and the Coke companies for the food additive Erythritol.

BEST ONE SO FAR!
4 Star Review   By Creola on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I had been searching for a plant-based sugar substitute for a while. I used to use Splenda. I've tried different types of stevias, and they all had an after-taste bitterness. Truvia is pretty good. No bitter taste. However, not quite as sweet as the regular organic sugar. But, if you're trying to cut down on regular sugar, I suggest Truvia.

not good for you
1 Star Review   By cmr1957 on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I bought the Truvia and really liked the texture and taste, but after a week of using it daily in coffee and on oatmeal, I noticed muscle weekness in my legs. I googled side effects of truvia and it said that this was one of the side effects, so I have stopped using it and switched back to the regular stevia product, never have had any reactions to Stevia. Apparently there are other things added to the Truvia like they do to splenda that can cause side effects. I should have done some research before buying, but it said it was made from stevia, so I thought it would be good.

Not Good
1 Star Review   By SecondComing on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I've sampled most of the Stevia products out there - this one really disappointed me; hardly sweet and the packets are deceiving. The individual packets have a lot in them - erhyritol that is, not stevia. Don't waste your money - go for Stevita products and Wisdom Natural Sweet Leaf, they are SOOO much better :)
