Modern food, no matter how seeningly healthy, is frequently lacking in optimal amounts of trace minerals due to intensive agriculture stripping nutrients from the soil. This deficiency can lead to a variety of health issues in both humans and dogs. In dogs it can lead to, among other things, skin problems and excessive itching, which is what my babies suffer from. I also have a variety of health problems myself, not related to diet, but I'm always looking for ways to optimize my nutrition to help minimize the other problems I have. These liquid minerals are not a cure-all, of course, but have made a positive difference in my health and an improvement in my dogs' skin after about a month of use (which is a reasonable amount of time to wait in order to see a change if it's going to occur in either species).Depending upon the breed of dog (mine are very small), you will want to start out with a low dose and titrate up each week until a reasonable maximum limit is reached, since adding too much, too quickly, can lead to loose stools or digestive upset. I add it to their water, about 4 tbls per gallon of water now, mixed in a large bottle and it's given as their only source of water, but I started out in week one with only 1 tbls-absolutely no problems to report by increasing the dosage gradually in this way. I gradually increased my intake over time for the same reasons and to get used to any metallic taste that may exist. I like the fact that these minerals do not, to me at least, have a metallic taste, and I am very sensitive to aftertastes, but I also split the daily dose between two very large glasses of filtered water (one taken each morning and evening). It just tastes like fresh spring water when taken like this. I also like that they are from a source that is ancient, since the risk of contamination from modern chemical contaminents is, hopefully, much lower. Overall I am very happy with this formulation, and the price is excellent too. Thanks VitaCost and Buried Treasure!

Buried Treasure is watering down their products.
Buried Treasure Colloidal MineralsI have been using this product for over 15 years. Originally thetaste was strong, biting and somewhat dry. It had to be addedto juice to make it palatable. NOW the product taste like waterwhich leads me to believe that Life Line Foods is wateringdown their products. So unless you wish to pay $15plusfor 32 ounces of water, avoid Buried Treasure products.

I love this stuff!
My carpal tunnel pain eased almost immediately after starting this product. I feel like I was craving it the first few months. The best way to disguise the taste is to add it to grapefruit juice/cocktail, something tart, can't even taste it. I don't plan on ever stopping taking this stuff.

Still trying it out....
My friend used this to reduce age spots (he's 78)... and it worked for him. He took it for about 5 or 6 months before he really noticed a difference.
