Love it!!
5 Star Review   By pattiecake on Vitacost - Apr 18, 2013

So easy to use! Just slip in your pocket and it goes everywhere with you! I liked mine so well that I bought my husband one, and now we like to see who has the most steps at the end of each day. We're retired, so these gems motivate us to keep moving!

easy to set up and use!!
5 Star Review   By patk on Vitacost - Aug 9, 2012

Purchased this for my husband as I already had one of another style. His is so much easier to use, he loves having it in his pocket, instead of having to clip on his waist. I will be ordering one to replace the one I have. I am constantly knocking mine loose and having to reclip! I highly recommend!!

2 Star Review   By LinLou on Vitacost - Jun 9, 2012

This product was not a disappointment I just was expecting more. This is the first time I have purchased a pedometer, as I have been wanting one for a long time. I think the next time I will do my research a little further and get something that I have no question about. But this one will do for now. For something not real high tech this product is good but it is hard to read with its different units.

Works great
5 Star Review   By pikespeakhiker on Vitacost - Feb 17, 2012

This is the best pedometer ever made. It is very accurate. I have tried 5 other pedometers and none can even match this one. It is very easy to program, quiet and easy to wear, The only negative thing that I don't like, is that I can not reset it back to zero during a hike while changing trails. It automatically resets at midnight. But I have overcome that one obstacle and love it.

4 Star Review   By Coach37 on Vitacost - Nov 12, 2010

Have used accusplit and walk4life pedometers and this is of a higher quality by far. The only drawback(and I saw the same complaint in another review) the belt clip comes free if you bend over too far. Thank heavens for the safety clip. Like the feature which saves your steps for seven days

Omron Pocket Pedometer
5 Star Review   By Sunshine55 on Vitacost - May 18, 2010

I have used many pedometers and they are all hard to program and they are noisy. I found Omron on the internet and it had rave reviews from many customers, so I decided to get one and try it. I'm so glad I did, because I love it! It's easy to use and easy to program, quiet, keeps perfect distance, etc. I would highly recommend it to my friends or anyone looking to purchase a pedometer to track their mileage, calories, etc. Excellent product and I will definitely buy from here again! Loved it! thank you so much Vitacost for making an excellent product! I will get lots of use out of it for years to come!

Great product
5 Star Review   By pubhired on Vitacost - May 16, 2010

this is the most accurate pedometer that I have ever had! Mostly interested in the miles but the 7 day memory is a great feature. Having this in my pocket motivates me to move. Only drawback is I forgot to remove the pedometer from my pants before laundering and drying them twice, so I just bought my 3rd one.

The positive reviews were right!
5 Star Review

Strengths: Easy to use, accuracy, can be worn other than at waist, can be carried in hand or clipped to handbag

Weakness: A bit larger than many other pedometers

I researched pedoometers before I purchased this one, and it had some of the best reviews. I like the accuracy of it and that I can clip it to the cargo pocket of my pants, carry it in my hand if needed, clip it to my sports bra when working out, or even clip it to my purse. I find it to be much more accurate than previous pedometers I've owned, that had a little ball inside and could only be worn at the waist, and even then sometimes didn't register steps taken. I give this pedometer two thumbs up!

The Answer to Lost Steps...
5 Star Review   By omronfan on Vitacost - Apr 16, 2010

This is the best pedometer I have ever used!!! No more pedometer headaches! There are literally NO lost steps, it has accurately calculated my miles and I can finally keep track of my fitness goals. This works anywhere, in a pocket (YES!) on the waist (even when tilted) and does an excellent job. I would recommend it to anyone. The ability to track aerobic vs. non-aerobic steps has been the key to kicking my weight loss in gear once again. You can track back 7 days so no more missed days on my stepping log and it automatically resets at midnight so there is no daily maintenance. Great Price, Great Product. Arrived right on time!

Couldn't make the pedometer work
1 Star Review   By member albiedavis - Feb 28, 2010

Strengths: I was unable to make the pedometer work, thus discovered no strengths

Weakness: The directions included with the pedometer had no relationship to what actually happened when they were followed.

I was very disappointed at the discrepancy between the directions and the actual operation (or lack of same) of the pedometer. The company was very courteous about assisting me with the return and a credit (minus shipping) was quickly given to my American Express account.

Pedometer Review
4 Star Review

Strengths: It seems to accurately keep tracks of my steps throughout the day

Weakness: none so far

I began to work from home and wanted to keep track of how many steps I take a day to be conscious of how much I move during the day. Although 10,000 steps is a goal at least this lets me know how close I get so in that respect this has been very helpful. I can't wait until the weather gets nicer or I go on vacation to track the steps I take at that time. I am hoping the battery lasts 'til then.

Is it just me?
2 Star Review   By member maggieomiller - Jan 7, 2010

Strengths: Reliable, accurate, comfortable, well-made

Weakness: Why doesn't it shut off when not in use?

Is it just me? I was psyched about this pedometer! And it has great reviews and everything works great...until I realized that I can't turn it off and it doesn't automatically shut off when not in use. And my battery ran down and died. When I take it off at night, shouldn't there be an off switch? I can't find one, so am I just not smart enough to work this? (Yes, I looked in the instructions.) I appreciate that it can keep track for the whole week for me and keep some statistical information but if I have to buy a new little special battery constantly I'm not going to use it long term. What a waste!

Omron Pedometer
4 Star Review   By oldguy08 on Vitacost - Oct 19, 2009

I am verry satisfied with the Omron Pedometer. It has, thus far, kept an accurate record of my miles walked, steps taken, and calories burned. It is easy to read, and has a memory feature to show a weeks activity. The sole negative is that it easily falls off my belt, but that is partially compensated by a clip that will prevent loss. I highly reccomend this product.

Sisters Agree: It's Good!
5 Star Review   By StephMT on Vitacost - Oct 9, 2009

I recently purchased this pedometer after researching them online. Then I joined my family in Phoenix for my father's 90th. My St. Louis sister, who is slim and fit, already uses this pedometer. She said, "Oh, this is the BEST kind. I've used others that turned out to be junk, or broke quickly, but this one has lasted and lasted, and it has everything you need.

Great Pedometer
5 Star Review   By jakkicat on Vitacost - Oct 6, 2009

I wanted a pedometer to help me track my exercise after giving birth and would highly recommend it. I purchased it after reading others reviews of this and other products. It's a fantastic product and I use it every day. I like to compare my regular to aerobic steps and calorie burn every day. It's lightweight and well designed. Also, the stay on clip is really helpful and has prevented me from dropping it countless times.

Pedometer particulalry accurate with level walking
4 Star Review   By member DTSwanson - Sep 29, 2009

Strengths: Versatile - works in pockets and on belt. Seems to measure steps accurately on level surfaces.

Weakness: Does not differentiate between normal stride lengths with level walking, versus shorter steps that you have with inclines or steep descents, so tends to overstate the distance when hiking mountains.

See weakness above. Pedometer is very accurate on level surfaces, but tends to overstate distances when hikes involve mountains, as the shorter steps needed to climb or descend, are read by the device as being longer strides as though you were on a level surface. To compensate, you would have to readjust your stride length on the pedometer every time your hike changed to a steep or even moderate ascent or descent, and then readjust again when you return to a level portion. Overall, it is better than anything we have.

Digital Pedometer Model HJ112
5 Star Review

Strengths: The clock is great. All I have to do is pull it out and check my steps at the same time. The calorie counter is great and the mileage.

Weakness: I don't see any weaknesses right now.

I've only had the Model HJ112 Digital Pedometer about 3 weeks now. I really like it. I asked my wellness coach to set it so that we could use it that day I received it. The directions were easy but she check my stride to make sure my steps were figured correctly. I like how it counts my steps, mileage, calories burned and the rest were great added features for me. I will recommend to others.

Digital Pedometer
5 Star Review

Strengths: No clicking. Accurate. Shows calories burned. Steps and aerobic steps. Light weight. Clips on pants or shorts. I wear my all day.

Weakness: None.

I love my pedometer. I walk on the beach every morning and I especially like that it shows my aerobic steps and well as regular steps. No clicking!! So far it has held up very well against the high humidity I have here and even a few drops on the floor. I wear it all day and it is a good motivator for moving my bod. Especially when you see the few calories that you have burned after walking 10,000 steps or more.

Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
4 Star Review   By member weaseleyes - Aug 24, 2009

Strengths: digital readout

Weakness: size

The unit can be used in multiple positions, so it can be carried in your pocket. That means my husband will use his. Otherwise, he wouldn't, because he wouldn't wear it on his belt. The digital readout is really great. Easy to read. It's a little big & bulky for wearing on a ladies waistband, but that's the only way I can wear it, since I don't often have pockets to put it in.

Review the product (Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112) you recently purchased.
2 Star Review   By member EmilyMcIntosh - Aug 20, 2009

Strengths: loved all of the features except the clip

Weakness: The clip is not secure enough

I lost my pedometer on my first trip out with it because it fell off without me feeling it. Putting it on the string around my neck would bother me as it bounced. I've seen clip on ones that have a more secure string attachment as well to use as a safety tie in addition to the clip and I would suggest they add this feature. The pedometer is expensive enough that I could not afford to replace it with another of the same brand.

An Excellent Pedometer
5 Star Review   By rpep1982 on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I purchased this pedometer to see just how far I was actually walking each day. When I received it, I was impressed with the instructions and was up and running in approximately 15 minutes. I have used it while walking, running and at work. The instructions say not to drop it. I have dropped mine repeatedly and there has not been a malfunction yet. It was dropped due to my own clumsiness, not to any fault of the pedometer. It comes with a belt clip and an additional strap with a clip. No reason to drop it but I elected to not install the strap as a personal preference. All in all, a well made pedometer which is accurate and informative.

This Pedometer is Fantastic!
5 Star Review   By Thistleweed on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I'm shocked at how accurate this pedometer is- and I love that it calculates aerobic vs. regular strides (helps me to pick up the pace sometimes). My friends with different pedometers have problems with theirs marking steps when they aren't really walking, and this one doesn't do that at all!!!

5 Star Review   By donna7446 on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

The Omron is so user friendly; tried so many other pedometers and this is the BEST!!!! This company however, Vitacost, does not have good Customer Service-the website showed In Stock...but it was Backordered. I tried to cancel the order, but they kept claiming it was in the warehouse and could not cancel. So I ended up with 2 of them.

5 Star Review   By Petal on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

I like to keep track of how much I'm walking every day, making sure to hit that 10,000 steps on the days I don't use my elliptical. This is perfect! Easy to use, it comes with battery and screwdriver needed to open the battery area. It's simple to set and gives you a variety of ways to use it, hang it off your belt, your purse, put it in your pocket. I enjoying seeing how many steps a day I'm taking!

I found the Omron Healthcare Premium Pedometer an excellent and accurate instrument. It calculated the distance very close and calories expended matched my Polar heart monitor which was a bit of a surprise. Good price and very effective buy.

Up To Expectations
5 Star Review   By MadDogOne on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

All the reviews I read before buying this pedometer suggested that this was the leading widget in its field. Given the hype, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it really is as good as everyone says it is. I like the fact that it doesn't have to clip on to your belt (and then the clip breaks and you throw the pedometer away), and that it counts every step you take, even soft and slow steps. I had a hip replacement 12 weeks ago and my old pedometer didn't believe I was walking at all. This one counts almost every step and gives me excellent data on my daily activity.

Father's Day present to a Great Dad
5 Star Review   By janinpa on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

My husband started walking per his doctor's advise after a heart attack. He is very dedicated to this exercise and I heard him casually mention he would like a pedometer. On June 15, I did an extensive research and found the best one on the best site (Vitacost). It was half the cost, I ordered it that evening and it arrived on Friday, so he had his gift. After his walking, now on the high school track, he excitedly comes home and shows me his miles, steps, aerobic actions, etc. It was so easy to learn to use and so accurate. We are very please with the product and service.

I love it!
5 Star Review   By lauranj on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

This is the best pedometer ever, and I have had many. Seriously, I wish I could get back every cent I've spent on pedometers in the past, so I could buy this one and go to a nice dinner. I've already recommended it to two friends who also love it. I never write reviews, but I felt really strongly about this product.

Interesting
5 Star Review   By Maggs on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

It is interesting to see how many steps a day I take. Sometimes I set a goal of 10,000 steps and try really hard to meet it. It has also opened my eyes to the fact that some days I don't walk nearly as much as I thought I did!I love the fact it counts aerobic steps separately. Some days it doesn't fel like much but I may have had 20 minutes of aerobic walking logged!Great pedometer.

Great Incentive
4 Star Review   By sonny2 on Vitacost - Aug 13, 2009

The Omron Pedometer is an excellent instrument and a great incentive to get the exercise needed. While it shows you what you have accomplished over the last seven days, it lacks one minor feature.... accumulative miles. Otherwise, it is a terrific value, small, accurate, and very easy to use. Recommend the product.

Strengths: User friendly, durable, accurate as far as I can tell, capability to track steps over time is a good feature

Weakness: Can't think of any weaknesses at the moment

I have and will recommend this item to friends and family who show an interest in keeping track of their walking activities. I feel the tracking feature is a really nice function to have.

Strengths: Easy to read, good features, light weight

Weakness: A little bulky

The Omron Pedometer has easy to read instructions for set up. It only took a few minutes. The memory feature is helpful. Using the pedometer has given me incentive to get in the 10,000 recommended steps per day and find ways to accomplish my goal. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Best I've Used
5 Star Review

Strengths: Very accurate, easy to read, easy to set

Weakness: Clip a bit weak, but also has a strap that can be clipped for added protection.

I have been using this unit for 2 years and love it. Several Wellness Challenges at work have handed out other pedometers for us and none have worked. I always go back to this one so I know I am getting an accurate readings. Would not even consider another brand. The cost is certainly worth it. You get what you pay for.

Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
5 Star Review

Strengths: Saves data for past seven days. Modes includes total steps, aerobic steps, calories burned, miles walked.

Weakness: A little larger than other pedometers I have used in the past.

A very worthwhile purchase as compared to some other pedometers I have used. I especially like the ease in which it clips to my belt with an additional string lace and clip to prevent dropping if accidentally dislodged. Steps are counted in two days: total per day and total of aerobic steps with amount of time at that rate. Mode button easily cycles through steps, aerobic steps, calories burned, miles walked. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112: Simply a Great Product!
5 Star Review   By member royluer - Oct 20, 2008

Strengths: Easy to set up and easier to use. Comes with a belt clip and a strap, for added convenience. Most importantly, it has all the features that you need without all the extras you'll never understand.

Weakness: Absolutely none.

This is a great product for everyday users who want to track their steps, without the hassle of learning how to use a complicated device. It hass all of the features you want and none of the extras you'll never use.

I love this pedometer!
5 Star Review   By member JHoover2080 - Oct 20, 2008

Strengths: Easy to use; can be clipped on anywhere, not just at waistband; numbers are large and easy to see

Weakness: None so far

I am mechanically challenged, but this pedometer was very easy to program. It resets itself every day, and the buttons are easy to manipulate to change the mode. I've tried a lot of pedometers and tossed them because they didn't work very well, but this has been great.

Does What It Is Supposed to Do
4 Star Review   By member sunnydai2 - Oct 9, 2008

Strengths: Went on a measured 4.1 mile walk. It registered 4.1 mile after a carefully setting my stride.

Weakness: The explanation of calibrating it to one's correct stride and the concept of kcal was a bit confusing.

The first one we had actually broke during a vacation with a lot of walking in Southern France. The belt clip came undone and it was dangling for who knows how long by the "safety strap" as we walked through medieval villages. We will accept some responsibility for not noticing. Who knows what it banged into. We liked it so much we did buy another upon our return. Because it did break, however, we are limiting our rating to 4 stars.

Excellent Pedometer
5 Star Review

Strengths: Accurate, easy to set up, contains past history for quick review

Weakness: Holster belt clip is too small for most men's belts. Unit came off twice and third time it was lost.

Unit was lost due to a poorly designed holster clip but I have reordered another one. Very accurate and a delight to use whether it is walking, on the eliptical or jogging.

Digital Pedometer Model HJ-112
2 Star Review   By member LabDancer - Oct 2, 2008

Strengths: It is easy to configure.

Weakness: It doesn't always work (counting steps) even though I use it in the same way everyday (placement location). It says it won't count stair steps; sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't.

This pedometer sounds better than it is. If you are serious about counting your steps, don't count on this one. It doesn't accurately work all the time.

Digital Pedometer Model HJ-112: stop looking for any other pedometers
5 Star Review   By member leonardculvr - Sep 30, 2008

Strengths: Very easy to set up. I like the safety strap that comes with it. Also I like the seven day memory. Very sharp looking and works almost at any angle. It is a great motivator in raising my activity.

Weakness: Don't wear it when riding a lawn tractor or quad runner as the bumping motion will record steps. The instructions do address this issue. I have not noted any weaknesses yet.

For people that are interested in pedomitors this is the one, hands down. I call it my personal motivation device. It is instrumental in raising my activity level on a daily basis. I wear it on my belt and in my pocket and it still records accuratley. Be sure to shop around as the price for this thing is all over the place.

A really great product!
5 Star Review   By member smurray5991 - Sep 20, 2008

Strengths: Very easy to set up and use, clear, easy-to-read display, contains all the information you need, includes multiple days of stored info. Has multiple clips to prevent it from falling off.

Weakness: None.

I very much like this product -- well worth the money. One of its best features is how flexible it is to use with all different sorts of clothing -- you can stick it in a pocket, clip it to a belt or collar, put it in a bag you're carrying, etc. etc. -- which really expands its usability.

Omron Pedometer
4 Star Review   By member flt996 - Sep 8, 2008

Strengths: Easy to use, resets automatically every night

Weakness: None that I've found

I have had several pedometers in the past and none of them worked correctly. This one was easy to set up and keeps a pretty accurate count of my steps. I like the automatic reset of your daily steps feature. It also keeps your last seven days walking history if you want to look back at how far you went. I have increased my activity level since I bought this pedometer. Gotta get my 10,000 steps:-)

The best Pedometer out there!
5 Star Review   By member jmstanton - Aug 20, 2008

Strengths: Keeps accurate count, automatically knows aerobic steps, automatically resets at midnight but stores 7 days of info. No annoying sounds!

Weakness: Its slightly bulky and my son always sees it and tries to push all the buttons.

Awesome product! Love it! Great for all day wear! Has a safety cord, which is great because it falls out of my pocket a lot. Easy to read, tells you the approximate calories you've burned and automatically knows when you've been doing something aerobic. It counts aerobic steps separately and times them too!

Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
1 Star Review

Strengths: ease of use. Slide in pocket and forget about it.

Weakness: doesn't seem to count accurately all the time.

I love the practicality of this pedometer. Just put it in your pocket and no worries. Well, unless you really want to count your steps. It was very inconsistant for me. Sometimes it was completely accurate, next time I would walk 100 steps and it would register 17. It seems to work better on longer walks. My wife has a Yamax CW-701 (which is, almost to the step, accurate) but it has a lot of design flaws(opens up continuously). Read a lot of good things about thid pedometer and thought it would be a better fit for us. Side by side comparison, the Omron was of by 30%-35%. After the Yamax, less than accurate is unacceptable. I no longer even wear it, why bother

Omron Pedometer HJ-112 - pretty good for it's price
5 Star Review   By member intsukrov - Jul 21, 2008

Strengths: accuracy, easy to use, safety holder prevents pedometor from falling off/ getting lost

Weakness: 7 days memory, but no "total" for a week or several days. Plastic, spring-loaded belt clipper is a bit oversized and is not strong enough. Fortunately, there is a nice safety-string attached. Backligh

This pedometer, though pretty basic, is highly accurate and convenient to use. It has a nice safety string to prevent loss (my previous one, though is a bit fancier, got lost within a week, because belt clipper system is not the strongest one). This pedometer can fall off the belt pretty easy too - it's belt clipper spring is even weaker then on the other pedometers I've used, however it has an excellent safety string holder. Plus, this one also is so sensitive and accurate - it can work in the pocket, attached to a sleeve pocket or other places, as long as it's in a proper vertical position. It could've used screen back light for night viewing and a "total" function in addition to it's 7 days memory of steps. Aerobic steps feature is a bit annoying. I believe, you spend calories as long as you move. We even spend calories when we don't move! At our sleep. So, we spend even more when we walk, no matter speed or length of the time. But aerobic steps is something else. I don't know if pedometer uses different scale for counting calories used for aerobic steps, because if it doesn't - I don't see much use in this feature, except for annoyance - say, I've walked all over Venice, admiring churches, stopping in museums and spending an hour here or there, wondering through cultural reaches. Total number of steps for the day was well over 25,000, but aerobic steps barely reached 8,000 - was it because too many stops for longer then a minute? Or because not enough speed? If it's # 1, then the number of calories will be definitely wrong, if it's #2, then it's probably close to reality. IMHO, aerobic steps is a bit "overdoing" it, function that most of us can live without, on the other hand, it's yet another motivational tool - to get your 10,000 steps a day on the aerobic side, vs "just steps made".

Omron Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112)
1 Star Review   By member tapdancerIsrael - Jul 7, 2008

Strengths: Easy to read digital display. Easy to use buttons. Large, but did not get in the way of my running.

Weakness: Woefully inaccurate distance measurements while jogging or walking. Inability to adjust stride measurement to accurately reflect distance jogged.

I purchased the Omron Digital Pedometer HJ-112 because it was highly rated as an accurate pedometer for running. The distance measurement (which I care about) was consistently inaccurate. I spoke with a rep about the stride issue and the problems with the measurements.I used a 1/4 mi. track at a local private school to repeatedly reset the stride for accuracy, with no success. On July 6, I wore 2 pedometers: my newly repaired Accusplit Eagle 180 (used for 2.5 yrs.)and the Omron, resetting both to "0.00", and running on a measured trail I know well (around a golf course). There was a wide disparity in measurement reporting: Accusplit: 3.77 mi.; Omron: 4.28 mi). The Accusplit is much closer to the true distance. I am returning the Omron for a refund.

Strengths: Can't be beat!!!

Love this pedometer!! Had one before, and lost it, and couldn't wait to get another, and this time, used the little clip to clip it to my pocket, so I couldn't lose it. Strengths: Accurate, does not reset or count false steps. Aerobic feature is great. I just carry in my pants pocket.

Weakness: If using harness/belt-clip...falls out easily. But, there is a lanyard with a clip to hook on your clothing, so this is really minor.

Very happy with this pedometer. I lost my first one and am replacing it with the same model. Reccommended it to a friend and she replaced her more expensive one with it

Strengths: Lightweight. Lanyard keeps it on.

Weakness: Resets for no apparent reason.

On the rare day it does not happen to reset I log 3000 steps easily. Then sometimes around 3:00pm, almost at the end of the day, I check it and I've got 90 steps. I'm giving up on this thing. My tummy does not hang over it (heaven forbid) or I'd think it was me!

Great pedometer
5 Star Review   By member varadhanskm - May 22, 2008

Strengths: Accuracy, 7 Day Memory, Ruggedness, features

Weakness: None that I know of!

This one is a great product. Its pretty accurate. It also counts aerobic steps apart from usual steps. So you will know your aerobic steps. I am not sure if the calorie counter and the mile counter are accurate. Because they depend on your input. So you need to take them with a pinch of salt. Its very rugged. You can simply pin the thing to your pocket and it counts. Noise-free. I would recommend the product enthusiastically.

Strengths: Once set, it automatically resets and stores all information for a month. It automatically starts counting steps when you start walking.

Weakness: Not counting every step.

I like the pedometer because it gives me an idea of the amount of calories burned and the distancce I have walked. I am not sure it counts each step, only the steps that meet the criteria you enter when first setting it up.

Omron Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
5 Star Review   By member bahenry2 - May 11, 2008

Strengths: Easy to set, multiple features include miles traveled, calories burned, steps taken, aerobic miles traveled, and time.

Weakness: I have not found any.

I have been using this product for the last two days. This is my first pedometer. I like the sleek design and the ease of operation. It's easy to carry on my person either in a pocket or clipped onto my waistband. The readout is fairly large which is another plus. I can switch modes with the push of a button to quickly check not only the miles traveled, but also the estimated calories burned and how much of the distance traveled would be considered to be aerobic exercise. The device resets itself during the night, so it is ready to go the following day. The time also appears on the LCD display. The product does what it says it will do. I consider it to be a good purchase.

Strengths: Easy to program and to wear. Good memory features. The automatic changing to next day is great.

Weakness: None to date except for small print on the units of measurement words - i.e. steps, aerobic, miles, minutes. The numerical representations are bold and good.

It is well designed, easy to wear, and lightweight.I have used many types of pedometers in my nutrition counseling presentations. This one I could recommend without hesitation and it is affordable.

5 Star Review   By member dlwalker8 - Apr 8, 2008

Strengths: Love the 7 day recorded info for the ones that like to keep track. Also love the ability to not only just clip it to your jeans but can slip it in your pocket and is still accurate. Strap is nice too.

Weakness: None really, if any thing it is a bit larger than alot of the other brand pedometer on the market, but really doesn't make that much difference with the performance.

Simply love this product. Seems to be very accurate and is not really that hard to setup and start using. It seemed to me a bit pricey, but after trying it for a while, made it worth it to me. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable pedometer.

Digital Pedometer
4 Star Review   By member moiramb - Mar 29, 2008

Strengths: Quiet/various modes/can review past days up to a week

Weakness: The pedometer slides off sometimes when very active.

It is quiet compared to other pedometers, and fairly accurate as far as I can tell. It would be nice if it had a belt loop option, so it wouldn't slide off so much.

Best choice
5 Star Review   By member StephenG1946 - Mar 26, 2008

Strengths: Accurate, easy to use in shirt pocket or on belt.

Weakness: None. Really!

Tried three others that could only be clipped on belt. We bought two of one brand so my wife could use it also and had wildly different step counts, even after swapping pedometers. The Omron HJ-112 is easy to set up, easy to use and is accurate when compared to a treadmill (wintertime in Alaska). I've encouraged two co-workers to purchase this model as a motivator for their walking programs. Oh, I also got another one for my wife. Less expensive on Amazon.com. I do 12-13K steps a day and this keeps me motivated to continue - haven't lost much weight, but dropped 4" and two pant sizes.

Omron Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
5 Star Review   By member mccannl - Mar 16, 2008

Strengths: Ease of set up, and accuracy.

Weakness: None.

I have owned several other pedometers, and this one was by far the easiest to set up. And so far, it's accuracy has been exceptional. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to count steps or miles.

Omron Digital Pedometer-Model HJ-112
5 Star Review

Strengths: Easy to read and move between modes.

Weakness: None that I have found

Great for accuracy of distance jogged or walked especially when in new places or taking a different route. I like to get at least as much distance every jog or walk preferably more each time out. The Omron Digital Pedometer stays put and I like that it has two kinds of attachments.

Strengths: easy to use

Love the fact that it resets itself every day but also that i can go back and check info for the past 7 days. i like to check my steps every morning to see how i did the day before so i can try to increase my steps.

Omron Digital Redometer
4 Star Review   By member pattiejones - Feb 18, 2008

Strengths: Variety of options or modes, ie. steps, calories, mileage. Easy to read.

Weakness: None that I know so far.

I have not compared this product to any others so cannot make a comparison. I have enjoyed using this pedometer so far and would certainly buy it again. It is easy to read and clips very comfortably to waist band or where ever desired.
