Ultra-Mobile PCs are a specialized subset of the Tablet PC sector. Unlike Ultraportables – which are essentially souped-up netbooks – Ultra-Mobile PCs often have no keyboard and rely primarily on a touchscreen interface.
Ultra-Mobile PC screen sizes are generally 7” or less, with a minimum resolution of 800 x 480. They weigh about 2 pounds and are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. Popular models include the Samsung Q1 and the Fujitsu Lifebook U810.
Ultra-Mobile PCs are designed for people on the go and can easily double as a portable media player. Prices start around $700.
