How To Buy Guide - Clothing Shoe Size Chart

Baby & Kids' Shoe Sizes

When shopping for shoes online, it's best to just order the size your child normally wears (since manufacturer sizing varies, it's helpful if they've tried on a shoe by that manufacturer before...but not necessary).

If you don't know your child's shoe size, place a blank sheet of paper on a flat surface, and ask your child to stand on the center of it, barefoot (for smaller children and babies, hold the paper up to their foot). Mark the tip of their longest toe and the back of their heel on the paper. Measure from point A to point B, then consult the charts below to determine their size.

Some tips:

  • If your child is between sizes, we recommend you order up 1/2 size.
  • Don't order sizes that will be far too big. Loose-fitting footwear can damage feet...so either be sure of their size, or make sure they won't wear the bigger shoes until they've grown into them.
  • If your child has one foot that's slightly larger than the other, you should fit to the larger foot (you can always pad the larger shoe...you'll get a lot more mileage than trying to squeeze the larger foot into a smaller shoe.)
  • Your child's toes should have some "wiggle room," and should generally not brush against the end of the shoe.
  • When trying on shoes, to ensure a proper fit, make sure your child wears the socks or tights they would normally wear with them.

Happy shopping!
