Tastes good, but BEWARE
3 Star Review   By Geocacher on Vitacost - Mar 31, 2013

This product tastes good, and may even lower blood pressure, but it also lowers estrogens, according to research. Maybe that is fine for men with higher estrogens, but as a woman I cannot recommend any hibiscus product as a result. Also, there have been some reports of hallucinatory effects from hibiscus. I do not know how much one would need to consume for this effect, but it is not an effect I desire and do not care to risk this effect.

My favorite herbal tea
5 Star Review   By mbng on Vitacost - Mar 31, 2013

I enjoy the tea either hot or cold and sometimes mix it with other beverages, or juices for a delicious cocktail. I take a mild diuretic for hypertension with mixed results, but since I've added a cup or two of the hibiscus tea, my blood pressure has been consistently in the normal range. I usually have white coat syndrome when I go to the doctor for a check up, and he even noticed because on this visit he didn't have to take a blood pressure reading more than once.

Great Tea
5 Star Review   By Vitacostguy on Vitacost - Feb 26, 2013

Great tea at a great price. I enjoy the tea for its taste as well as its cardiovascular effects ... a nice natural way to take a few points off your blood pressure reading. Its worked for me. I usually double bag it to increase the medicinal effect. For taste alone however, one bag will do just fine.
