In the Cup: This light roast coffee is creamy and smooth with notes of toasted almond, cocoa and honey. Background: Brazil produced over 2.5 metric tons of coffee last year, that’s something like 2 billion pounds. That’s a lot of coffee to sort through. This coffee is from the Fazenda Nossa Senhora de Fatima, where Ricardo Aguiar Resende and his wife Gisele direct production at their family-operated farm. Ricardo is a third-generation coffee farmer. His small farm produces Icatu varietals of 100% certified organic, natural processed coffee and is a leader in environmentally sustainable practices.
