Cheap, flimsy and broke within 3 months
1 Star Review   By jc2000 on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this to use in my backyard, semi-permanently, to cover my grill and other backyard grilling things. Thus is was in a fenced yard with plenty of tree coverage. That didn't, however, stop it from getting knocked over (yes I had it tent staked into the ground# and some of the frame bent the first time we had a slightly bad rain storm. No matter; I straightened the frame, re-secured to the ground and added some bungee cords to strengthen. Enter the 2nd medium-level rain storm. DITTO. By the 3rd storm #and I'm not talking gale force winds, hurricanes or tornados folks) this thing was trashed beyond help. It didn't even last 3 months. I don't think I will ever purchase anything from this company again after this complete waste of money.

Good Enough For the Price!
5 Star Review   By SoccerDad on Home Depot - Dec 7, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I was hesitant to purchase due to some negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Worked great for my kids soccer games. Showed some wear and tear by the end of the season, but for 70 bucks, it's cheap enough to buy a new one each season!

I've used it twice but each time it worked great. The frame seems a little less than others, but for the money it's great.
4 Star Review   By Mindy on Home Depot - Oct 30, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Customer service was terrific. We received it the very next day after ordering it! That was a bonus since I needed it for a weekend gathering and I ordered it on Tuesday.

Used it twice before it broke!
1 Star Review   By luv2teech7 on Home Depot - Sep 15, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Similarly to another reviewer, we used this once without issue. It worked well to shade us from the sun and provided people a place to be. Unfortunately, we used it last weekend, when it was really windy. We couldn't anchor all four legs because two were on pavement. It didn't just blow over---it bent beyond the point of being able to re-fold it to even return it if we wanted! The tent tore and it became something that we spent $50 per use. I was encouraged that the company sells replacement tents so that we could replace it years down the road if need be. Never realized that they do this because it's so poorly made! Complete waste of our money. VERY disappointed.

Lasted 8 months
1 Star Review   By fatcatdj on Home Depot - Aug 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It worked well in the beginning, then started falling apart. First the canvas started tearing, then the legs bent where the part that folds down. Unable to dismantle the unit, I just crushed it and threw the legs away. I kept the canvas for using as a paint tarp. Last a good 6-8 months but thats pretty bad. Went and purchased an EZ Up

Piece of junk.
1 Star Review   By Heab910 on Home Depot - Jul 23, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The first time we used this it buckled and bent the frame. It is such flimsy material and definitely not even worth the $50 we paid for it on sale. Will be returning it to the store tomorrow. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk. The bag it came in was a decent design, but when my husband went to zip it back up the metal portion of the zipper pull literally bent around his finger.

Complete JUNK. It won't last a year
1 Star Review   By BballFan on Home Depot - Jul 8, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It only lasted 8 casual uses for Little League games and we were lucky to get that out of it. After 8 uses, the seams on the bag came apart, the awning had unexplained tears and holes, and it was just rickety. Today a breeze started blowing during a ball game. The other 4 tents around us (different brands) were fine. The ShadeTech, bent and bowed, and finally collapsed. Poor quality materials and not meant to last. Avoid this one unless you like repurchasing an item every few months. To compare, our 8X8 different brand canopy is still holding strong after 6 yrs, many ball games, and many trips to the beach.

a slight wind bends, buckles, and breaks cross-members.
3 Star Review   By Dennis on Home Depot - Jun 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I fixed my son's a few yrs ago with hardwood. Now I'm trying to fix a couple cross-members with metal inserts. I'd probably try to buy new pieces if I could find them. The metal should be thicker(stronger) for the folding sections, to begin with. 2 of mine bent and buckled in a slight wind. The design and functionality are great. If the cross-member material was strong enough, I'd recommend it in a minute.

Poor Quality - Used once and it bent in half
1 Star Review   By Brenda226 on Home Depot - Jun 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

We used this product one day and with one gust of wind, the canopy actually bent in half. It is extremely poor quality! The cover itself is thin (doesn't seem very waterproof) and the frame is absolute garbage! The metal frame literally bent in half and was so damaged, we couldn't even get it to fold up enough to fit in the car so we could return it to the store. So upset!

Can't Handle Rain
1 Star Review   By RLENE on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I was having a BBQ and a quick moving shower came through. The weight of the rain caused my canopy to collapse and break. This should not have happend. For the amount of money I paid, this product should have been able to endure a lttle rain.

Pop-up canopies are great!!!

Great but something missing
4 Star Review   By outdoorgirl on Home Depot - Oct 11, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I was in a pinch and needed a couple canopies. I found these online and ordered. After taking it out of the box, we thought that the stakes were missing. After reviewing the contents listed on the box, stakes were not included in the canopy. How do you expect to keep the canopy grounded? Luckily we had some extras and were able to use those. It would be an excellent rating if stakes were included.
