Great Light Weight Radios

I needed portable radios with a long range and these fit my needs perfectly. Terrain will effect range but still reaches out like I needed. Being able to set up codes to make conversations private is a nice feature.

Rugged, but range is far less than advertised.

Radio is rugged and easy to use. Range on open water at the river was less than 1 mile. Quit communicating while still in sight of friends on the bank.

I was expecting these radio's to work great for hunting and riding 4 wheelers. The package say's "35 mile range" in bold print but in small print on the back they say "1/2 to 1 mile range". You might get 1/2 to 1 mile on open water where you can see each other but in the woods we could not get over 1/4 mile. Not sure how they came up with 35 mile but they will not even get close. Radios were...
