It’s Cheap, and I Don’t Mean Price!
1 Star Review   By member ccomper - Nov 2, 2009

Weakness: Didn't work.

The relay did not switch back to AM/FM antenna when the Sirius radio was powered off. ZillionBuy offered to replace the unit if I returned it, but I wasn?t wasting money on shipping to possibly again get another defective product. After reading other reviews I discovered this is a common occurrence with this particular device they are selling. I purchased one from Best Buy and it works perfectly.

Should be Standard with Radio
5 Star Review   By member TSost - Nov 5, 2008

Strengths: All interference noise was gone. This should be standard "in the box" accessory.

Weakness: Check your antenna connection. I had to buy two additional jumper wires.

Worked as advertised. Easy to install. Only way to go if you don't have direct "aux" connection. This should be standard equipment with purchase. New model vehicles need different size antenna connections.

DEI SIRIUS FM Direct Audio Relay
5 Star Review   By member cruzzin - Apr 26, 2008

Strengths: nice improvement

Just as described. It really improved the clarity of my radio - sportster 5. We self-installed the radio and it just wasn't cutting it until I tried this little FM relay.

Interference and static free Sirius Radio
4 Star Review   By member nd93 - Feb 20, 2008

Strengths: Easy to install in a Honda Accord; Small profile allowed for it to be hidden using double sided tape.

Weakness: None.

I disassembled my dash and found my FM antenna on my 2004 Honda Accord EX Sedan in less than 30 mins. Granted, I know how to install radios and have installed Sirius units on all my cars. It literally was disconnect one connection, plug 2 connections in. One to the radio and another to the antenna. If you are not familiar with your radio, I would recommend a professional install.

Cheap relay from a defective batch?
1 Star Review   By member beernose - Sep 8, 2007

Strengths: Same unit as the ones you buy at Circuit City. The Circuit City one works EXCELLENT. Switches between FM antenna and Sirius input just as it should.

Weakness: Dead on arrival (from ZillionBuy.com)

First unit was dead on arrival. The company was very responsive and had no problem exchanging it for me. 2nd unit was also dead. It won't pass the regular FM antenna signal through when the satellite radio is turned off. I thought maybe my installation was wrong, so I went to Circuit City and bought a new one (at 2x the price). The Circuit City relay worked perfectly. They all look identical but this company (ZillionBuy) must have bought a faulty batch of relays?

DEI Sirius FM Direct Audio Relay does not work
1 Star Review   By member Hambyman55 - Aug 11, 2007

Strengths: The price was the best found and order fulfillment was quick.

Weakness: Does not perform as advertised.

The DEI Serius FM Direct Audio Relay that I purchased did not work. With the Relay my radio would not pickup any AM stations and would broadcast the local FM stations only if I manually selected them. With the relay the radio would not find any radio station using the search method. The other function of the relay is to block out any stations broadcasting on the chosen frequency for the Serius radio and it did not.

Must have for Sirius plug and play car radios
4 Star Review   By member usckid - Aug 8, 2007

Strengths: -FM Signal clarity

Weakness: -May need additonal wires (depending on your car)=$$$ -A potentially tough install

I got this for my Pontiac Grand Am. Does exactly what it claims: gives you dramatically improved signal clarity by blocking incoming FM signals. It's a shame this didn't come with in the car kit with the sirius radio (Starmate 4). If you're getting less than stellar sound quality, I'd definitely give this a try. The difference is night and day. Note: I'd highly recommend getting it professionally installed if you're gonna have to remove your car's dashboard for installation.

Much Better Reception
5 Star Review   By member whoopdaddy - Mar 11, 2007

Strengths: Simple Installation and Product

Weakness: None.

It's an expensive way to hook up your factory radio that works perfectly. Sirius has their stuff together. Finally my radio is free of wires and it's clear as a bell.

Great Product
5 Star Review   By member fal709 - Mar 3, 2007

Strengths: Eliminated all static and signal loss in an area that I frequently travel through. The Music on my radio now sounds very clear and sharp. Very satisfied.

Weakness: getting to the back of the radio to the antenna jack.

This item should be included with the purchase of a new unit. This is really easy to hook up yourself. I always had static with my radio no matter if I was in the city or in the country. This cleared up all the excess static from the FM transmitter. Nothing was hard about the install, just time consuming when I hidthe wire.
