With advanced sound recording features and flexible storage options, this digital voice recorder captures audio in a variety of settings to your personal deskside dictation. The ICD-AX412 offers plenty of recording space with 2GB of built-in flash memory that provides up to 750 hours of recording time and additional storage available through the microSD/M2 memory card slot. Intelligent Noise Cut technology greatly reduces ambient background sound so your recordings will be crisp and clear in quality. Voice recorder also includes Sound Organizer software for easy audio editing, CD/DVD burning and other useful applications. Other features include four modes, five message folders, safety lock (hold), cue, review, easy search and erase/protect. The ICD-AX412 runs on two AAA batteries and includes a mini headphone jack, mini microphone jack and Mini-B USB port. practical affordable sony

Compact, large memory and takes card for more, stereo, mic mini jack input its a sony and at a great low price. Just the ticket for affordable portable audio. Great for backup recording in a pinch on a video shoot or primary for notes and interviews.

Just Checked It Out

I've played with the Sony ICD-AX412, today. It's nice. But, Sony advertises a backlit screen provision, which I've not found? Also, it is not as "ready" as my old Olympus VN-480PC, which begins recording from an "Off" status by simply pressing the "Rec" button. The Sony requires that an On/Off switch be used and that you wait while memory is processed...sometimes 10 seconds if there is a Micro SD...
