Was awsome at first but check out the older reviews before bying Toshiba.

Strengths: Used to be best buy now Mitsubishi 3D DLP for $750 beats it.

Weakness: Engine no longer made by Toshiba. A 'Refurbished old one is $700us plus fitting fees etc.

I was put off LCD sets by reports of pixels going in time, and high cost. The huge power used and high heat from also expensive Plasma sets makes it a nono. So I chose the bargain priced 65HM167 DLP. Try's for a 'Class action' have so far not been followed thro', but surely an expensive tv set should last at least five years!!!Lamps go and engine goes down long before that, making...

A Lemon

Strengths: The only positive attribute of this set is the size. If you want to have the largest screen at the lowest price, a DLP is the way to go

Weakness: Poor clarity, even when new. High operating costs, needing to replace the lamp on two occasions, which will average $100/year by itself

After having replaced my lamp for the second time, without getting the set to work, I wrote to the corporate offices stating that there seems to be inherent problems with this set and that the expenses that I am being asked to incur should not be this great for a set that is not even four years old and that I wanted Toshiba to pay for the repairs, even though my warranty had expired. I had...

Stay Away From Toshiba Products

Strengths: Big TV

Weakness: Many! It is a crappy product like all Toshiba products. I made a costly mistake by buying this TV.

Very bad TV! Engine lights burned (this is the second one replaced) Thank God i bought an on site warranty trough Mack Camera and covered the cost but that's not all. Really bad picture and customer support lacks! Toshiba is not good when it comes to customer service, good luck getting support in English. Bad deal stay away from Toshiba products period!

My first big screen purchase Toshiba 65HM167

Strengths: Great price for size and overall picture quality.

Weakness: Sound is not as great as cracked up to be. Please purchase additional replacement lamp.

I purchased this TV about 2 years ago. I was very satisified with it for the first few months. Unfortunately, a little after a year of usage the lamp blew out. I did not use it for a while because the lamps were too costly and I felt it would cost alot to have someone install it once it was purchased. After waiting several months the lamp prices are now reduced, so I guess I will purchase one...

Strengths: HUGE TV, great price, long lasting, awesome picture quality

Weakness: Creates ALOT of heat.

Ive had this TV for 2, pushing 3, years now. Im a hardcore gamer and work from home, with two roomates this tv see's a TON of use. Its pretty much on nonstop. For three years now with no issues! When I first bought it I put it all the way against the wall....bad idea. The unit puts off alot of heat and will overheat if against a wall. Cool thing is that the TV tells you this!
