Very dependable - Great Projector
5 Star Review   By member prs162 - Jan 28, 2012

Strengths: Accurate color rendition and contrast, bright, long lasting bulb.

I have had two of these projectors for show we do on location. They have taken a lot of abuse, extreme temperature changes and conditions over the past 4 years of use. The bulbs have held up amazingly and I am very happy with these projectors. Even when we are doing shows at venues that have very expensive projectors I still use my InFocus IN24 because it is better color and contrast and easy to adjust than any other projector that these venues have that are more designed for high contrast presentations rather than images and photos.

Lamp crashes too fast !!!!!!
1 Star Review   By member diegopanich - Jul 20, 2007

Strengths: Sharp image, easy to use.

Weakness: Lamp always crashes after 500 hs of use. I´ve bought 4 already.

I´ve bought the Infocus X2 projector, not this one, I just say that you must take care of Infocus projectors. This is my experience, watch out !!!! My lamps crashes after 500 hs. of use instead of 2000/3000 Infocus says. I´ve bought 4 lamps and all of them crashes after 500 hs. I do everything right with it, I clean the filters, use stabilized voltage, etc. But lamp doesn´t last. It´s a crap.

Infocus IN24
5 Star Review   By member joe_knowitall - Nov 30, 2006

Strengths: Price, picture quality is good

Weakness: More noise than I expected.

This projector so far has a great picture and was a great price. I do not think you will find an overall better projector for the price after rebates. The projector does run quiter in economy mode and still has a great picutre in my opinion.

good entry level projector
4 Star Review   By member zbwang - Nov 15, 2006

Strengths: price (~$500 after rebate), easy setup, very good image quality, bright

Weakness: resolution just 800*600, not very quiet in normal mode, no component or DVI input

This is a very good entry level projector, and can be used for both home and business. Setup is extremely straightforward, almost plug and play for my notebook computer and DVD player. The image quality is even better than I expected for such a cheap unit (about $500 after rebate), looks very nice for movie, as well as viewing pictures from computer. You can hear a little noice in normal mode, but it's not that bad -- if you switch to low power mode, it's completely quiet. I'd like to see it accept more inputs -- now it only accept VESA monitor (analog), composite video and S-video; no component, no digital input. 800*600 might be a bit low if you are used to HDTV signal. But it's not a big deal for me. All in all, it's a good value for your money.

Sweet!
5 Star Review   By member anudewalrus - Oct 7, 2006

Strengths: Great picture, works, tons of customization, cheap

Weakness: Gets a little bit warm

I got this for $470 after rebates from Staples which was far below the other projector that I was looking at (an actual entertainment center one). We play Xbox on it, watch TV, DVDs, etc. It even works great through my laptop. It was a ton of inputs and outputs on it so it'll fit most setups. It reads in most any signal and converts it down to its resolution. You can even have it output 16x9 for widescreen. The number of ways you can adjust the picture is almost overkill, but welcome. My only complain is that the system gets a little bit hot. It moves a ton of air and the unit has an overheat sensor in case it gets too hot, but that hasn't happened. Just don't shove a speaker in front of the fan or anything and it'll run great. I highly reccomend this bad boy!

Great Buy for the price
5 Star Review   By member gurleli - Oct 6, 2006

Strengths: Price

Weakness: Resolution

So far this has been a good buy. We mostly use it to watch movies at home. We don't need the extreme high definition images, but we want something that looks good and enlarges well. It does get a bit hot after 2 hours of straight use, but I am not sure that this is a problem. The price was excellent. We love the options and the keystone feature.

5 Star Review   By member letitroll - Oct 5, 2006

Strengths: 3000hr Lamp,DLP

Weakness: None For the Price

This is my first Projector. I really like it the picture is bright and clear at a 100" I haven't try bigger. It was ready to play right out of the box but the picture was a little dark on dark movie cine, the settings were at 50% I change the brightness and contrast to 55% then it was perfect I could see the people. The menu is nice and easy to use.For a home theater this is the way to go. !100" for $600 you can't get a big TV for that! OOOO the lamp is around $250... Not bad (3000hrs is more than 1300 movies)

Good Projector for Price
4 Star Review   By member drbddalal - Sep 27, 2006

Strengths: Low price, resolution, light weight, truly DLP

Weakness: No input for HDMI, no input for even cable TV

This is a very good projector with this price with this much ANSI lumens. The resolution of 800 * 600 is low if you have very big screen. If you want to go for input of TV cable (like comcast) you need to get cable box from them or you can get TV tuner card for computer and start TV on computer & then give ouptput of computer to projector so you can watch TV on big screen. I usually watch movies only. So for me this was worked out best.

IN24 DLP Projector
4 Star Review   By member shoostry343 - Sep 10, 2006

Strengths: It is definately a good price for the quality. 800*600 is a nice resolution for home usage. Nice lifetime of the lamp.

Weakness: We can see projectors with higher resolution and luminosity on the market we may like a little more.

It has a pretty good resolution, brightness, design, lamp lifetime, lots of diffrent port options. Overall it ais a nice priduct even though it would not hurt to have a better luminosity.
