a decent all aorund portable dvd player
Strengths: 9" non glare screen, divx playback with text subtitle support, remote control, not oversized battery pack, 3.5 hrs playtime
Weakness: picky on dvdr and some retail dvds, low res screen
my first portable dvd player that the main feature I love is out of the box text subtitle support on divx playback just like the way it works on PC. remote control also came in handy because I can watch it from a distance on the 9" non glare screen. unfortunately, the screen this size should have a higher resolution. 480x234 is a bit better than vcd quality and watching dvd is somewhat downgrade...

Great Portable DVD Player
Strengths: Picture quality & audio are great. Two headphone output jacks. Very easy to learn & enjoy. Better than expected battery life.
Weakness: Several controls (like picture size and brightness level) could be on the unit instead of only on the remote.
Got this unit on Christmas Eve and have had the chance to watch five movies on it so far. The quality is superb and it is very easy to operate. We also used it to play the "DEAL OR NO DEAL" DVD game while traveling. It performed all of those functions flawlessly too. I really like this Toshiba.

Great Toshiba Quality!
Strengths: Toshiba is a good brand name -
Weakness: None that I can see -
My first portable DVD player and I think it's great! The picture is good, the sound is nice and it handles the DVD's well with no skipping. I like the style of it, too, and the nice large screen.
