Solid Sony design and excellent performance. Lack of lighted controls a minor issue in low light viewing conditions.

This is an excellent improvement over the previous product and, obviously, top-notch that one can view Blu-ray disks on it. My only mildly negative comment is that when you're not using the remote control, it can be a bit difficult to get the unit to respond to touch; it's very sensitive. Still, a great, great value - excellent!

I just bought BDP S 1100 player, well it's small and compact so it doesn't take up spaces.. When i played movies from usb port (external hardrive), the picture is not as good (sharp) as when i played it directly from the tv ( I used the Sony W67 series that can played movies from external hardrive)...maybe it's because i don't use gold plated hdmi cable And the BDP S1100 can't recognize .srt file (subtitle file)....I hope Sony Team soon will provide system software update that can support .srt file (the latest software update from sony has not support .srt files yet) And also in the option menu i can't find menu to adjust video properties such as colour, contrast, etc...
