Vizio 47" wide screen LCD TV

Strengths: Clarity, reliability, stereo sound, price.

I discovered the Vizio in Costco, but found it had been sold out. The Store MGR told me to contact Sear-Roebuck & Co.. I contacted the local Sear store TV Dept and found the sales person not interested in helping. Just got one of these from Dell

Strengths: Just as good as the Sony or Samsung models. If you're not a stickler for best-of-the-best, the Vizio will save you a lot of money!

Weakness: None that I've found so far. Make sure you have a DVD player that upconverts to 1080p.

Google for SV470XVT and read the CNet review on it. It'll make you want to buy it. They mention the blacks not being as black as Sony or Samsung, but I can't tell. They're definitely not the light-black or gray that you see on some cheap models.
