Strengths: I worked great for about a year and a half
Weakness: It doesn't work so great anymore
This television is only a year and a half old. After powering on manually the system shuts down after 10 seconds. After seacghing other review sites, this appears to be a common problem.

SYLVANIA 20" LCD TV
Strengths: NICE PICTURE
Weakness: SPEAKERS COULD BE BETTER quality of components
I was really impressed by this tv's picture quality, construction, and ease of setup and use, until it died last week. This unit is 17 months old. I have 3 other LCD TV's. all different brands and all older than this Sylvania and I have not had a problem with any of them. In fact, I have not had a problem with any tv I've owned in over 30 years. This tv is presently in the shop for repairs.

Strengths: We have just purchased the unit and the picture is very clear and the colors are sharp. The price per inch of screen was excellent coming out to ~$14.50/inch. The weight is only 13 lbs.
Weakness: The sound of the TV speakers are marginal and tinny. This is corrected by attaching computer speakers in the headphone output.
I would recommend the purchase of this LCD TV for a bedroom. The unit is very easy to set up. CATV cable is a quick attachment on the back of the unit and just the power plug and the unit is operational. The remote control unit is cheesy. The buttons are small and it is limited in functions.

Great Picture for the Price.
Strengths: Price and Great Picture.
Weakness: Remote doesn't have a Jump or recall button. No RCA out for an external speaker.
Setup was a breeze even with the remote that comes with it.
Remote is fine with me except that there is no "jump or recall" button. Not that good as PC monitor because it's only 640 x 480. Brightness and contrast are very good. Connected a Coby, Mentek and Sony DVD player with no problem. Audio is so-so.

Sylvania 6620LCT 20" LCD TV
Strengths: 20" LCD TV for less than $300.00
Weakness: Sound could be better
I highly recommend this LCD TV. At the current price of less than $300.00 no other TV can touch it. This is a basic model, not many fancy options in the menu and the ugliest most useless remote I have ever seen. Thank goodness that the set-top box I have replaces the included remote. The video is very good compared to the other TVs I saw in the store and when I connected it to my FIOS service,...

I highly recommend this LCD TV. At the current price of less than $300.00 no other TV can touch it. This is a basic model, not many fancy options in the menu and the ugliest most useless remote I have ever seen. Thank goodness that the set-top box I have replaces the included remote. The video is very good compared to the other TVs I saw in the store and when I connected it to my FIOS service, WOW is all I need to say. My only complaint is the sound is kind of lame. It sounds flat and quite low. For the price, I couldn't find a better LCD TV.
