review on tv

Strengths: Clean sleek modern design. Superb contrast ratio (seems even better than what specks indicate) Excellent video processor and super fast response times.

Weakness: No swivel option with supplied stand. Needs quite a bit of adjustments to the picture settings out of the box (especially for skin tones)Sound also weak however improves by adjusting factory setting.

Loved the design - Sharp packed the beautiful 52 inch panel in to a surprisingly narrow bezel for a clean all glass look - Also very lightweight and slim depth. Ideal for wall mounting. So sleek, the dimension of this TV are comparable with many 46 inch LCD's out there. Bottom mounted speakers curve slightly towards the middle making the TV smile at you :) Good picture quality, haven’t tested...

Strengths: OK value for the $

Weakness: Wall mounting, picture quality

Reading all these glowing reviews, not one mention of wall mounting. Just received the Aquos, replacing a 42" plasma, have already installed a universal wall mount on a brick wall from the other TV, and guess what? It no worky. So I have to buy a Sharp AN-52AG4 wall mount as recommended in the manual. The TV only has a few holes in back to mount wall brackets, so a 'universal' bracket won't work....

Great set

Strengths: HD looks amazing on this set. Plenty of inputs. Menu is easy to use. USB upgrade port.

Weakness: None.

This TV is a great set. You can not go wrong. This is my third HD LCD and I am very happy with it. The complaints about the sound are being a bit picky. It really depends on what you are listening to. Try the blue ray "Planet Earth" sounds and looks incredible even with tv only speakers. If I want true surround sound I have my 5.1 stereo. I would buy another in a heart beat!

Sharp Aquos GREAT!

Strengths: Variety of inputs to enable easy set up to audio, and multiple video inputs, Wii, XBOX 360, HDTV cable, etc.

Weakness: still need the LCD's to work on the blacks like the plasmas, but this TV is awesome!! For the LCD the color is spectacular

I have read the comments about audio, we use a surround sound, so I can only commnet on the picture quality. This set is not for regular TV, before we had the HD cable hooked up and were playing the XBOX 360, HD games you cannot get the high quality picture intended for this set. If you have all the HD gagets, games, and HD cable or sat dish, and a surround sound, this set is for you. It is...

Audio problems

Strengths: Every thing fine except audio

Weakness: Sound breaks up

Purchased Dec. '07 After set-up I noticed that the sound on 2 of the digital over-the-air channels I receive was breaking up to the point where I could'nt watch them. The signal strength was good,so I contacted Sharp. After 2 service calls they sent a replacement set. It was the same model and did the same thing. I contacted Sharp again and they ended up sending me an older model 92u which has...
