Capacitors Fail around 4 years

Strengths: Nice TV

Weakness: Reliability and Samsung not standing behind a design flaw.

Samsung won't stand behind faulty engineering. I used to love Samsung TVs and have 3. Around the 4 year point your tv will cycle turning on/off by itself, or have a similar issue with turning on or off. It's a capaictor failure that will cost you about $210 to fix if you don't know how to replace them yourself. Samsung leadership lacks the integrity to stand behind the design flaw....

Samsung 40 inch 3d LED

Strengths: Great Picture!

Weakness: Chintzy 3D Glasses that didnt work.

I recommend this television, which now sits in our bedroom. The only problem I had was that both pairs of 3d glasses that came with the set were DOA (dead on arrival). They wouldn't turn on. They're pretty flimsy too. Samsung tech support told me to try fresh batteries. I bought 3 of 'em for 12 bucks at Radio Shack, but they didn't work either. When I called up, they made good...
