I bought this piece of crap last March and feeling bad that I didn't return it within 30 days. This is useless piece of crap when it comes to SMART and there are N issues. Listing a few.
1) Normal TV functionality works as any other TV. But most of the time the SMART HUB will not get connected and it keeps saying "update in progress"
2) You need to wait for atleast 3 minutes in normal TV mode before trying to access SMARTHUB
3) It has a worst quality remote and it is not QWERTY making it difficult to type your prefered options.
4) In YouTube, it doesn't autofill what you type and you need to wait for 10 secs for it to pop up all possible clips
5) Poor sound quality
6) They will say skype will work but u need to spend $100 for a samsung camera. A normal web camera is not compatible.
7) If you watch any website in HD, the session will crash with "memory crash" error.
8) Most of the youtube clips in HD, there will be a sound loss for few seconds in between and sync mismatch with the visual.
9) Above all, if you call Samsung support, you will sure end up in an less experienced call center who will blindly say "you need to check your internet speed". I changed my internet provider, internet accessories everything but no use. The fun part is 4 of our friends bought 4 TVs of this model at the same time but all are having all the above mentioned issues without any difference.
10) Final verdict: I won't but any more Samsung TVs even if given for free.

Great television with awesome features. Light weight, slim design, and feature packed. Great value! I was impressed with the SmarT Tv as this is my first. Intuitive, easy to set up, and integrates well with other samsung products in our home.

40" Smart TV
Picture looks great after I realize you have to look at different channels with HD.

Beware of Different Version Numbers of This Model
I already own the smaller 32 inch version of this same smart TV model line (UN32EH5300) and the picture quality on it is fantastic. I am very happy with that set. I already own the smaller 32 inch version of this same smart TV model line (UN32EH5300) and the picture quality on it is fantastic. I am very happy with that set. I recently bought this larger 40 inch version for another room based on the high picture quality of my 32 inch. Right away I noticed that the picture quality of the 40 inch was not as good as the 32 inch. I tried all sorts of different menu settings to get it to match the quality of the 32 inch to no avail. The picture on this set is quite noticeably inferior to the 32 inch. The contrast and clarity/sharpness and black levels are not as good and the colors are a bit off. The picture just doesn't pop like it does on the 32 inch. And the viewing angle range is limited. Unless you are dead center to the screen while watching, moving off axis just a bit causes the contrast and black level to degrade. The further off axis that you move the more the picture degrades. Samsung makes excellent LED panels (screens). After my purchase I learned that Samsung uses LED panels manufactured by several different companies when building TVs in this model line. The 4-digit version number of the TV indicates which panel it uses. The version number is on white label on the back of the TV. According to the version number of my 32 inch TV, its panel was manufactured by Samsung. Its picture is bright, clear and crisp with excellent color and contrast and black levels. It also has wider viewing angles than the 40 inch. The version number of my 40 inch indicates that its LED panel was not made by Samsung. Online reviews from discerning people who bought these TVs with non-Samsung-made panels were not as satisfied with their picture quality. If you are lucky enough to get one of these TVs with a panel made by Samsung you will likely love it. If you can find a TV with a 4-digit version number that begins with the letter T (such as TS01 or TS02 or TH something, it is likely made by Samsung. Any other letter will contain a panel made by someone else. Do a few Internet searches if you want to learn more details. When shopping in stores locally if you can see the product box, the version number of the set inside is listed on a sticker on the side of the box. If you order a set online you have no idea what will be shipped to you. This is my biggest beef with this set and is likely a deal breaker. This set has a few other minor quirks that I can live with (such as a poor Internet browser that cannot support current version of Flash), and if the picture quality was up to par I would keep it because it does have some nice features that work well and it is a good value otherwise. I will likely be returning this set before the return period ends. If I can find another one locally with a Txxx version number I will buy it instead. My advice is to be mindful of this version information when shopping for a Samsung TV.
