Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 46" LCD Widescreen Television
Strengths: Full HDTV/1920x1080 picture resolution/1800:1 contrast ratio/Sleek design
Weakness: None at this time
This Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 46" LCD Widescreen television has an absolutely amazing picture quality and great features, especially the XCross Media bar, that makes it easier navigating through the on-screen menus! This is an awesome home theater experience, especially when playing Blu-ray movies in full 1080p resolution! It also has a nice, sleek black piano style finish design that makes it very elegant-looking overall!

Strengths: Picture quality is remarkable, well designed frame and stand, and easy to hook up and use
Weakness: The one thing we thought was a little interesting is that if you were going to use it on a small or narrow stand it came with a small strap to inhibit tipping. This wasn't necessary in our situation
I was out to purchase a Panasonic and saw the picture quality of this Sony and bought this. Its amazing and beat the picture quality of the Panasonic hands down.

Top notch TV
Strengths: Better picture than most TVs out there
Weakness: Lack of 120hz processing
Was looking for a TV as a gift. I have an XBR4 myself. After taking a look at Samsungs, Visios, and many others I did not feel any of them had an acceptable image quality. This TV stood out from the crowd. Of course it is a a bit more expensive but I thought it would be worth it. The only difference I notice between it and my XBR4 is that the motion is not as smooth. However, if you do not know to look for it, you will not notice it. The gift recipent is super happy.

Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 LCD Premium Quality Television
Strengths: Vivid and bright picture, great contrast ratio, anti-glare surface screen great for watching in any lighting, good sound quality, stylish design.
Weakness: None so far
I have owned this television for a few months now, and am very satisfied with my purchase. The TVÂ’s colors and picture are very sharp and bright. Prior to purchasing this television, I compared it to a Samsung LNT-4661F television set, and was much more impressed with the picture of the Sony when compared side-to-side. Where the Samsung had exaggerated colors that looked artificial, the SonyÂ’s display provided a much more natural picture, yet still full of vivid colors and tones. A good feature with this TV is the Bravia Theatre Sync, which allows you to control your TV and Blu-Ray player with one remote. This TV is replacing a Sony CRT set that lasted the last 19 years and is still running like new. The only reason for replacement is because I wanted a television that supports HD. Because I know Sony makes products that will last, I purchased this Sony HD set knowing I will get the most use out of the TV for a very long time. Great picture, great design, and great TV.

Strengths: Picture, Color, Blacks, Low Glare Screen (I have a highly sunlit room).
Weakness: Sound isn't so hot, nothing to cry about though. Picture makes up for it.
Been researching LCD's for over 1 year and finally went for the 46V3000 model as it dropped $300 off it's $2000 pricetag at my local costco. HD picture is truly crisp, clean and bright. As for standard definition, it's OK, not as bad next to other sets my friends and family own (Samsung) or I have seen. Sound is not anything to write home about, but not that big of a deal. I wouldn't turn down this LCD because of the sound, it's not that terrbile. I have mine matched up with a 1200 watt surround setup, no need to go to the movies anymore. You will not be disapointed by the HD picture, it's awesome. Watched Smoking Aces on HBO HD the other night and WOW! Looked outrageous! I have a Sharp LC-32D62U 1080p in the bedroom and was going to buy the 42"64U model, but the Sony V3000 seemed to be the better choice. Glad I did so, 110% Satisfied!

Strengths: Great picture, good features. One of the best for the money.
After searching many TVs, I decided on this one because it has the best picture for the money. There are cheaper sets out there. But, you get what you pay for with them. This one is awesome. The Sony XBR sets have a few more features than this, but they also cost much more. If you want a great picture with most of the features, this is the one to get. Cable QAM channels look great. And I also have it hooked up to a PC which also is excellent for watching online shows (e.g. Netflix instant viewing). I highly recommend this TV.

Sony LCD TV what a great TV!
Strengths: The clarity of the TV, the ease of the use and overall look of the tv.
Weakness: I didn't buy it sooner
I was looking at other brand tv's but the clarity of the Sony tv can't be beat. The look of the tv is great. To use the tv was easy. I am very pleased with the purchase of this tv. It is so clear!!! I love it!!

Sony 46V3000 LCD TV
Strengths: Vivid color, great contrast, large screen, I got a great price on it.
Weakness: shiny piano black can reflect light, but don't know if this is really a negative; just moved the light, really beautiful cabinet
The Sony's picture is sharp, brilliant and rich in all colors, especially black. HD channels make it seem like you're looking through a window into the stadium/studio, and the regular channels look great too, although once you've seen HD, they admittedly look much worse.

BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 46" LCD
Strengths: Great outlook, excellent picture, great sound, and easy connectivity.
Weakness: The language options are limited only to English, Spanish and French. It will be nice to have Chinese option too.
This is a really awesome TV. I bought it one month ago on Black Friday at $1250. The picture quality is great. The sound system is better than what I expected. It is a steal at that price.

Sony customer service
Sony KDL-46V3000When I purchased this TV in 08 i could not have been more excited. Fianlly got rid of the giant tube large screen TV and gained 10 more sq ft in my living room. After 4 yrs I could not be more dissappointed. The panel has gone out 8 months after the extended warranty that I paid an addition al $500 for and Sony is saying that I have to pay for a service rep to come out and write a report saying it is the panel-$110 out of my pocket-and then they may send me a replacement for $600 plus tax. Also I would have to pay to ship mine back. The replacement would only be in warranty for 3 months. As far as I am concerned they can keep it and I will buy Visio or LG.

Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000
Strengths: Picture.. kinda
Weakness: the verticle line through the right side of the screen..
We bought the Sony Bravia due to the Sony name.. We just made it under the one year warranty and that was a good thing. We had to have our tv taken apart and the mother board replaced. We have since aquired a verticle line through the right side of the screen which never goes away. Reading the reviews it looks like we are not the only ones. Will Sony step up & replace the part/parts that are needed to get rid of the line? It doesn't sound like customer service cares.. Our next tv will be a Sharp tv.. we have also had a Toshiba tv for years with NO problems & a fraction of the price that Sony charges.. Step up Sony and make it right!!

Strengths: Computer port
Weakness: Breaks down 3 years later.
When i purchased it 1 year later i noticed it had a screen burn and now when it's getting more worse it's the panels problem. This product is a piece of useless junk.
Is anybody getting this problem too?

Sony quality has DROPPED
Weakness: YOU NAME IT!! LCD,BOARDS,TUNER
THEY SAY "IT'S A SONY!!"; How about: it's a bomb,lemon,67 pound anchor etc.
Past Engineering Major-so I had to take electrical engineering. This product is so similar to my 46XBR6,PLUS SONY'S RESPONSE-FROM THE PHILLIPINES-it is pitiful !!
GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN MARYLAND. TRY TO GET A TEMP BAN ON DEFECTIVE (FRAUD??) SONY LCDs.
Gee,, went to U of Md SCHOOL OF LAW also; Sony.
I hope the above will be educational for anybody considering an LCD purchase. Only after I offered to pay for an independent consult (so Sony would not loose a dime) did "customer service??" agree to send a 2nd-hopefully knowledgable- tech.

Two vertical lines on right side of screen.
Weakness: Sony no longer makes a quality product. They certainly do not back their products anymore!
I purchased this TV 1 yr & 10 mnths ago. At less than a yr & a half later, it developed two vertical lines on the right side of the screen. I notified Sony about the problem. I paid $1599 for the product. Sony said it was not cost effective to repair. They offered to sell me another product at a discounted price. Wasn't that nice of them

Porr quality and poor exchange policy
Strengths: Picture quality
Weakness: Very poor quality. Lack of feature compared to competitors
I gave this TV 1 star because I could not give it zero star. I was deciding between the Mitsubishi LT-46133 and this Sony DKL46V3000. Mitsubishi had much better features, but I decide to buy the Sony because it had slightly better contrast in the dark areas. Big mistake buying this piece of lemon. I bought the unit on 12/22/07, the unit malfunctioned by doing auto shut down on 3/7/08. It has been in the repair shop twice since then and I hope to get it back before the end of May 2008. Sony offered me a replacement refurbished unit, saying the unit is more than 30 days. I refused because I paid for a new TV, not a refurbished unit. When I ask Robert at Customer Relations if this quality is acceptable, his reply is "things happen, and you turned down our offer to exchange it [with a refurbished unit]". Some one at work suggested I take them to Small Claims Court, which Robert replies "that is your peragative". Compare this to my friend's Mitsubishi TV bougt in Nov 2007 and my parent's Samsung TV bought in Dec 2007 which are still working fine.

Sony Bravia 46" LCD is a keeper
Strengths: Excellent picture quality with great color and black levels. Good SD upscaling quality.
Weakness: Expensive. No PIP.
This is an excellent TV. The picture is rich and bright. The details are sharp and stunning. There are slight artifacts during fast action or sport scenes. This set is almost identical to the higher price 46W3000. Sony rarely has any huge sales on their TV sets, or I would have looked into getting a larger set.

Strengths: Iut of the Sam's Club line-up and Best Line-Up of LCDs and Plasma, it had the best picture of all.
Weakness: Price. Paid $2400 plus tax at Sam's Club in Gilber, AZ. A bit more than the other manufacturers, but picture is tops.
Make sure you use HDMI to HDMI or if you have the non-DVR COX HD Digital Cable box use a DVI to HDMI cable. Video is great with the component video cables but even better with the DVI cable.

The Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 is a...
The Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 is a 46” full HD 1080p LCD television part of Sony’s BRAVIA V series. It supports 1920x1080p resolution with over 2 million pixels, which is in fact double the amount offered by a conventional 720p set.
