Yamaha RX-A3010
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Oct 25, 2011

The Yamaha RX-A3010 is a top of the line AV receiver capable of handling 9.2 channels of audio at 150 watts per channel. It features an Anti Resonance Technology Wedge, an H-shaped cross member frame and YPAO-R.S.C. speaker calibration. Additionally, the RX-A3010 sports an advanced on-screen GUI and an HQV Vida processor. The RX-A3010s Anti Resonance Technology Wedge and H-shaped cross member frame both work together to virtually eliminate both internal and external vibrations for the cleanest audio quality possible. Its YPAO-R.S.C. speaker calibration system analyzes room acoustic and performs speaker angle measurements then calibrates the RX-A3010s audio parameters for the best possible audio quality in almost any speaker setup. Meanwhile, the RX-A3010s advanced on-screen GUI provides a simple way for users to make simple and advanced adjustments to their sound system. Features 9.2-channels of audio at 150 watts per channel Anti Resonance Technology Wedge HDMI 1.4a with 3D pass through and Audio Return Channel H-shaped cross member ... PROS: (1) calibration system is fast and works well (2) firmware update is fast and easy (3) on-screen display is easy to use and responds right away (4) can control the receiver via a web app or iPhone app (5) sound output is clear and clean, no distortion or loss of signal ... 5 Star Review   Crutchfield.com

Crutchfield has collected 3 user reviews for this product with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5 stars. The most recent reviewer said, "I have owned Pioneer and Onkyo up scale units and both were horrible. The Pioneer had the worst setup and the hardest controls I have even seen. PS I design and automate steel mills, I know how to make things should be designed to work without reading a 400 page manual. The bands on the tuner constantly slipped so making fine tune adjustment was impossible. The unit suffered a final blow as it sailed across the garage hitting the floor. The Onkyo unit was easier to setup but the HDMI output went out after the 1 year, ( Out of warranty of course ). Luckily UPS destroyed the unit in transit to the repair shop. After they review the damage they said it was better to replace the unit even after UPS paid for the shipping damage. You can see I did not purchase a replace Onkyo. This Yamaha RX-A3010 is built heavier than both previous units has a better warranty and when I asked the repair shop that the Onkyo was headed to, they siad they don't get any Yamaha's and quit a few of them owned Yamaha receivers. They don't sell units and are not part of Yamaha's distributor system. After reading the reviews, I spend the extra money and got what I believe is the best unit on the market."
