Happy with my decision to go with Denon

Strengths: Plenty of power and options, ability to save 3 user settings and the auto setup room equalizer works great.

Weakness: Takes time to understand all the programming options and lacks Ipod connection ability, Expensive compared to competitors equal models

I've been a long time Yamaha owner but after hearing this unit I decided to take a chance with Denon and it has done nothing but impress me from the layout of the component connections on the back to the various sound options. Great receiver at a good value!

Strengths: Comprehensive Video Switching (HDMI to Component to S-Video to Composite; any-to-any), Auto-sensing speaker config, HDCP compatible (component or HDMI), high power rating, sound quality, 7.1

Weakness: Expensive, complex systems can be difficult to program

denon finally built the receiver that we audiofiles have asked for

Strengths: more switching than any other receiver on the market. video handeling is the best on the market as of now.

Weakness: slightly more complacated to program than lessor receivers.

i,ve been 3 years in the search of a mid to high end receiver that handled all the audio and video switching that i wanted. finally denon listened to all of as and made a beutiful peice of a.v. equipment. this componant is only rivaled by seperate high end componants. i would suggest this as a center peice of anyones high end system.
