Sennheiser HD 202
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Jan 15, 2009

The Sennheiser HD 202 are closed, dynamic hi-fi stereo headphones. These lightweight headphones have a secure fit and can be used for both mobile sources and home (mini) hi-fi systems. There fit is somewhat between a supra-aural and circum-aural design; there isnt as much clearance around the ear as with a more typical circum-aural headphone, but they do not sit directly on the ear. It features a long 3 meter cord length and replaceable leatherette ear pads. Features Closed, supra-aural, dynamic hi-fi stereo headphones For DJs, ideal for both mobile sources and home mini hi-fi systems Good attenuation of ambient noise Earcups can be removed from the headband Specially designed damping perforation ensures powerful bass response Lightweight diaphragm material with "turbine " embossing for extremely low bass Powerful neodymium magnets and lightweight diaphragms for high sound levels Powerful bass and increased signal levels for modern rhythm-driven music Clips to the belt: ... PROS: (1) Good sound quality for the price point (2) Modest price-point (3) Includes cable management clip (4) Very affordable, robust, light weight. (5) Earpads can be removed for travelling ... CONS: (1) Not fully collapsible (2) Cable is far too long, unless you like sitting in another room. (3) Very little isolation.

Excellent Sound!
5 Star Review   By tmajka on HP - Nov 21, 2010

These headphones have great sound, even great bass! Large drivers and good comfort for around the ear phones. As expected for the price, the material quality and appearance are nothing special. But good sound at a good price? They do that in spades! My Son bought SkullCandy at 3 times the price and sound quality with these is about equal!

Freedom
5 Star Review   By texatpdx on HP - Nov 18, 2010

I am having a wonderfull experience. I now am free from the loud sound of sports programming. I bought the set of headphones for myself to listen to music at work. I took them home for the weekend and my husband wanted to try them for watching his races on TV so he could enjoy the full sound experience. Well he did and has now taken possession of them for all of his sports programming. I will buy another set in the future but in the meantime I am receiving the pleasure in not having to share the Noise!

HD-202 Monitor HeadPhone
5 Star Review   By member iamkyungjoo - Jan 25, 2008

Strengths: Strong Base. High Quality sound. But need aging of at least 48 hours. Inexpensive price

Weakness: nothing

It isolate the sound from outside noise perfectly. Sennheiser also use high quality of wire. This is important. Sound quality is up to total system. Good sound is not only from the good speaker, but also it need good quality of wire not to contaminate the signal from the source. This head phone has a non-oxygen copper wire. Considering the price, it will be best choice. And this also provide the adapter to 1.4" plug.

5 Star Review

Strengths: sound reproduction,comfort.

These are quality headphones. The sound is un-believable for such in-expensive headphones. I bought two pair, and I love them. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for quality phones at a great price. Bob V.

Good headphones while they lasted
4 Star Review   By member onryou - Jun 7, 2006

Strengths: Good clarity. Strong Bass. Fairly cheap.

Weakness: Lost the connection in the right ear phone. Also there was a little bit of discomfort with wearing them at first but that was only temporary.

If you tend to be a little more rough on your headphones then others then I'd recommend spending a little extra money for some Sennheisers with a detachable cable. That way you don't have to go and buy a whole other pair if for whatever reason the cable is damaged. Up until the right ear phone stopped working though these were a nice pair of headphones.

I Didn't Think They Were Big
3 Star Review   By member griceprabber - Oct 2, 2005

Strengths: Crisp tones, plenty of cordage

Weakness: Somewhat uncomfortable on the ears

I haven't had them long and haven't even started to try test it's sound reproduction abilities to my untrained ear. They sound great so far. However, they do make my ears sore after awhile. I don't think I have particularly large ears, maybe larger than most, but that's including babies! I would just say to you, prospective buyer, if you feel you have larger than average sound funneling skin flaps, then consider other options. I know, I know, they are extremely inexpensive. It's okay. There is hope. Stay away from anything that says "Bose" or "Bluetooth Technology" and things will turn out okay. Happy trails, friend.

Good, too much in the 1khz range, but easily fixed with an EQ
4 Star Review   By member akfish - Aug 25, 2005

Strengths: Blocks outside sound without being uncomfortable, good sound for the price ($20)

Weakness: I found they were really oversesative in the 1khz range and had to drop my eq in that range a bit.

Very pleased with the sound for the price. Best set of $20 headphones I've ever bought. They block out sound, without being too tight, and the sound they produce is very good. Some reviews said they were too strong on the bass, but I don't think so.

4 Star Review   By member macbongo - May 10, 2005

Strengths: Great sound quality; chord length.

Weakness: -

They are insulated enough to block out most outside noise, and so that it does not bother others. The long chord is great for working so that you can move around quite a bit with out getting pulled. Finally, the sound quality is impecable for the price. Great buy!

5 Star Review   By member Linkboi - Apr 19, 2005

Strengths: Great clear sound and quality for it's price. Muffles outside sound by a good amount.

Weakness: Headphone cushions can be a little tight at times

Good for my gaming and music needs on the computer. Long cord helps with its usage with the computer. Recommended for those who don't want to spend too much on headphones but want the quality of Sennheiser. Headphones are easy to adjust as well to help with the headphone cushions. I often wear headphones for more than 5 hours at a time and have been fine using this one. I enjoy using these headphones as well since they muffle voices if people are talking in the background.

5 Star Review   By member tkyvo - Aug 9, 2004

Strengths: Ambient noise blocking without raising the noise floor or hissing. Sound quality. Bass Response. Comfort and fit.

Weakness: Could be uncomfortable if you have big ears.

I'm an engineer for high end mobile audio products and these are some of the best headphones, I've tried. A real bang for the buck. Picked them up at ecost.com for $17.99. Some places sell these for $50... get them before they run out. No need for active noise cancelling headphones, they just raise the noise floor. This will do fine and the sound quality is awesome.

5 Star Review   By member cdxskier - Oct 1, 2003

Strengths: Awsome sound quality! Very comfortable! Cheap!

Weakness: The feel as though they could be constructed a little better.

These headphones rock! The bass response is great, as is the mid and the high. The cord is really long and comes with a cord winder. The length adjusters on the pair adjust where the driver meets the band. This prevents hair from getting caught in the structure, but comprimises durability. I got this pair for $17 at eCost.com! You can't beat the price!

Strengths: Very smooth sound in all frequencies with excellent presence and articulation. Good bass but not overpowering. Great listening for all music bur especially satisfying for the big sound of rock.

Long cord a great advantage. Also sold with dual plugs which are handy. I also plug into my Sony TV for private listening. In-line volume control would have been a plus and I would have paid an extra ten bucks for that option.

Strengths: Good sound quality. In gaming, I can now hear footsteps of opponents approaching which I couldn't hear before. Nice price for $27.00 shipping and all.

Weakness: Not sure...haven't really done any benchmark testing as of date.

Product as promised. Good price for sound quality. I have paid more for similar quality before and I am satisfied with purchase. If you are into gaming, I would recommend this headset...;-)
