Worst Tech Support Ever!

Strengths: maps

Weakness: Support, Warranty, Lock ups

I have owned the Magellan 6000T for 8 months. 2 months of that time it has not worked because of a poor design in the car power adoptor. I opened a support case 8 weeks ago, called every week for status of the warranty part, and have gotten nowhere. A support supervisir will not return calls as well. Besides the terrible customer service, the device locks up evey couple of weeks and forgets all...

Best thing since sliced bread

Strengths: Ease of use, the fact that it gives you an audible warning any ding or each chime in plenty of time before your next turn. Also the fact that you are wrist Street receiving the strike that you are per

Weakness: The fact that I have to wait to give them as gifts for my family. It is a little bit thick but then again it has a massive 4 GB processor not to mention a one gig S. D. card and 6 million POI (points

From the time that I took it out of the box and installed it on my windshield lower left-hand asked not to obstruct my field of vision, I had only to drive short distance of about two or 3 miles before I was in love with this product. Full of bells and whistles!

Strengths: Good GPS maps, lots of extras, Magellan brand reputation, Text-to-speech, Bluetooth, etc.

Weakness: A bit bulky and pricey!

The GPS works very well compared to some other mapping systems, and uses the SIRF chipset for quick satellite locking. Text to speech is handy. Only complaint is that it is kind of a bulky design compared to some of the "newer" models coming out now. But, since it's used in your car, it probably doesn't matter that much.

WOW!! So much packed into such a little package!! A MUST HAVE!!

Strengths: Screen size, zoom capability, scrollable views, ease of address entry

Weakness: Battery life, age of supplied maps, updating the unit.

I received this as a Christmas '06 present after doing substantial research on the web. I do not drive for a living so I do not use it every day. I am thinking of putting it on my motorcycle but have not done it yet. I read several reviews that state it takes a long time to acquire your position- Not for me. It found my position within 10-15 seconds. I live in Orange County, CA & had no problems....

A good GPS unit

Strengths: A lot. for example,Text to speech,3.5" color screen, blue tooth and SD card slot

Weakness: price is a little high and the unit is a little bulky

After I bougth this GPS unit, I take it everyday with me when driving. This is a very good GPS unit. Very easy to set-up and use. Take couple of minutes to initialize satelite reception and then ready to go. It can provide 2D/3D view of map and turn by turn Text to speech,auto-rerouting. I like its big 3.5“ screen and its street/turn directions are very clear in navigations. Also, cell phone...
