This is a great phone but horrible battery life.
5 Star Review   By moniteaubaseball64 on AT&T - Oct 23, 2013

It has a great camera, but you have to focus it to get a good clear picture. It is easy to change displays and easy access tools to your convienence. The only down fall i would say is the battery life you cant use it a whole lot during the day or it will be dead by the end of the night. I always have to charge it every night.

5 Star Review   By msbmore on AT&T - Oct 23, 2013

After a bit of tweaking, getting rid of unnecessary apps and downloading a battery saver, the phone is doing what it says it will do, battery life is much better and the video quality is very clear now. It is taking some getting used to how big it is but it's very thin and light, just holding this phone vs. the iPhone will take some getting used to. Will definitely order a case for it.

Terrible Battery life
1 Star Review   By Dublecros on AT&T - Sep 9, 2013

We purchased the Samsung Galaxy S4 approximately 2 months ago and at first we were happy with it. However, after a very short time we began to have to charge the battery approximately every 4 to 5 hours, even with nothing running in the background and with very little use. It is rediculous to be expected to have to charge the battery in a cell phone twice a day. We have compared the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with other cell phones on the market, including the phone we left with AT&T, and their batteries far excell this one. In my opinion, the poor quality of the battery negates the good features of the cell phone. I would not recommend purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S4 for this reason.

Best phone I have had
4 Star Review   By Dakota8496 on AT&T - Aug 29, 2013

I got this phone on the 24th at Radioshack. I really like this phones and features. The camera is great. I have read the reviews on here and there were a lot of negative reviews. Most of them had an iPhone and was probably just putting false information. Believe me this phone is really fun, and just a great phone overall. This is the best phone I have owned.

"Very good phone"
5 Star Review   By Orlavin on AT&T - Aug 17, 2013

I"m really glad that I bought this phone for my daughters graduation present! It has a awesome battery life that seems like it last for ever. The screen display is so amazing bright colors and really easy to read stuff on the internet. The storage is unreal! I have a lot of pictures and apps on my phone and I have never got a storage notification once! Its really easy to use at first I didn't think that my daughter would be able to use it that good. But once she got it she knew exactly what to do and how to use it. She has had this phone for a long time now and she has been happy ever since.

Weak .
3 Star Review   By JassonB123 on AT&T - Jun 16, 2013

The only reason I give this phone a 3 star rating is because it is a very weak phone, shattered 2 days after I got it. I dropped it once, it was fine. I went on a luncheon with my school, and I dropped it there. I picked it up and it was cracked. I only dropped it from about 2 feet. But the first time I dropped it it was from my pocket. I also don't really use the features that much, but it's a great phone.

Great phone
5 Star Review   By samsunglvr100 on AT&T - Jun 12, 2013

This is my first smartphone and it is great!! It is better than the iPhone in my opinion and the camera is great because it is 13 MP! I really like the design and the big, HD display and I also love the new features, such as the multi-tasking and air gestures. The only problems are the battery life because is not very good and I have to charge it once a day, and I also cannot figure out how to sync music, photos, etc. onto my laptop from the phone. But overall it's a top-of-the-line smartphone and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Awesome phone, but...
4 Star Review   By Kolourblynd on AT&T - May 31, 2013

I have just purchased this phone less than a week ago, and I must say it has been great messing with it and learning the how-to about it. However, and I may just have been cursed by speaking out about it when I got it, but the phone fell off my lap and down about a 1'6" and cracked the screen, and by cracked, I mean the screen almost shattered, with cracks leaving from a central point of impact and out across the entire facing. I've dropped many older smartphones from much higher and didn't damage anything, but with this phone it seems weaker. This happened with a case around the phone, which protected everything but the screen (was going for a screen case when I could,) and I'm fortunate enough to have protection on the phone, I believe, but at a premium of the price I just paid, I may have to deal with the crack.

Best phone ever!
5 Star Review   By Debralita on AT&T - May 23, 2013

This is my second smart phone so I can't claim to know a lot about them. I do know that this phone is very easy to use. I have not had any problems. All my friends said to get an iPhone. My kids and husband have had both apple and android. They told me to go android and I have never regretted it. My husband has an iPhone S4 and is so jealous over this phone. His is a work phone so he can't trade, but I know he would in a heartbeat. The display is so colorful. Even secondary screens such as 'settings' are so bright and colorful. The hand gestures are great once you get the hang of them. I have tried the two screens in one, but admit that I keep forgetting about it. The processor is so fast. This phone does so much that I feel I learn something new everyday. Have had it for 3 weeks now and can't believe I was hesitant to purchase it. Battery is at about 60% by evening, but I don't spend a lot of time on it.

Sleek and gorgeous!
4 Star Review   By VirtualReality on AT&T - May 21, 2013

Design: Like I said, sleek and gorgeous. I own the black model and absolutely love the texture created underneath the glass in the front. Display and interface: A long time Android user, I am pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the TouchWiz UI shipped with this model. The high pixel density makes everything look stunning, and I especially enjoy the richness while watching HD youtube videos. The stock icons are pixel perfect and nicely compliments the color scheme. I never thought I'd actually keep the stock home screen on. Build Quality: I'd say above average. The metal frame is a neat finish but I still don't get the awesome metal feel when I touch the polycarbonate back cover. Features: Disappointed. It comes in packed with a whole long list of half baked features. Smart stay still isn't accurate for spectacle wearers like me. Smart scroll is virtually useless, especially because it only works with the stock Android browser and because of the annoying eye icon that appears on the screen when it scrolls. Air gestures and air view are fun for the first few hours when you buy the device - but I am yet to find any real use of hovering my finger over the display for a feature that may or may not work (for example, sliding between photos doesn't always work for me using gestures). I personally prefer touching the display to get my job done. Battery: Have been a faithful Galaxy user since the very first model. So far, the battery isn't bad at all (it lasts more than a day easily after 4 hours of phone time, an hour to two of skype, and either WiFi or on 4G all the time). Performance: Smooth in general - but knowing that it has a powerclock of a CPU running inside it - the occasional freeze when opening the menu or the delay in displaying the weather widget makes me a bit sad. That too after making sure that I don't have processes hogging my CPU and memory in the background. But in all honesty, very smooth and snappy 95% of the times. Camera: I'm no skilled photographer, but I can say that I won't miss my DSLR very badly if I forgot to carry it with me somewhere. Photos are vivid and clean. Lots of options to play with in the camera app. AT&T experience: Loving the experience so far. I'll be moving to the mobile share plan soon. The store rep gave me a 100 bucks prepaid card in exchange of an old S2. Customer care over the phone is very helpful (had a problem with my GoPhone account - got resolved in minutes). The only thing that I am not much of a fan of are the icons and graphics in the AT&T apps (I am a fanatic when it comes to flawless interface - a bit crazy even!). But the apps are functionally well built. Overall, I am quite happy. Some scope of improvement, but you get a product that is worth every penny.

Love this phone
5 Star Review   By GalaxyS4User on AT&T - May 16, 2013

This phone is incredible. I had the iPhone 4S before this and iPhone doesn't compare. This phone is extremely easy to use, has a great display, okay battery, and the features are great. If your a business man or a teen or younger this phone can handle all your needs. If your in the store or debating between this and the iPhone5 like I was just take a long look at the endless possibilities of this. First Android and I love it.

Disappointing Camera, Poor battery, Heating, Good Display.
2 Star Review   By attsmartuser on AT&T - May 16, 2013

Poor battery performance: tried everything, keeping all applications closed, disabled GPS, Bluetooth, Auto sync etc. It some how comes to 24 hours if not used much for chatting and photo shoot. Camera: Poor Indoor pics. poor image stabilization. Pics shot indoor are not clear they come blur and noise visible as grain and color splotches. I compared it with my friends iPhone and Nokia Lumia. Nokia is best and iPhone is good. S4 is very bad both with flash and without flash. I concluded this after trying several shots with different modes and setting. However outdoor, bright day light pics are great. For me the basic use of a camera in phone is indoor shooting in family parties, pubs and any other Gatherings. For outdoor i can still carry a good Camera. Phone: The phone heats very quickly while you are on a call for 15 mins. Sound/Music: Bad sound quality Display: Great Display,

Waste of an upgrade from Apple
3 Star Review   By Alexus on AT&T - May 15, 2013

I upgraded to this phone because I wanted a bigger screen from being an Apple user and didn't own it for 24hrs. If you're an Apple user conitiue to stick with Apple. The S4 does have a nice resolution and screen display but that was about it. I could never figure out how to personalize my wallpapers and this phone was not user friendly at all. The camera on the phone did not take amazing photos. If you're taking pictures at night even with the flash on the pictures still come out dark. The phone kept freezing on me and that was about enough for me to return this device. I upgraded to the Iphone5 and the photos on this phone are unbelievable. I'm also impress with the difference in the screen size from the Iphone4. There is a huge difference once you own the phone. Apple maket is also way better than the Droid market. I can say I tried android but it didn't impress me at all.

Great Phone. Poor storage management!
4 Star Review   By Bill693850 on AT&T - May 13, 2013

The Galaxy S4 is a good phone for anyone that is new to smartphones or is currently able to upgrade to a new phone. It has some great specifications and software features. The screen is amazing and for a smartphone; it has a good camera. The things that could be a better are as follows: The build quality should have moved away from the plastic design. Sound Quality could have been greatly improved if Samsung would have added dual front speakers. The battery is decent but could always be better and larger. The biggest issue I have is the fact that the 16 GB version only comes with approximately 9 GB of user usable internal storage space out of the box. I know many people will say just add an external SD card, but there are problems with that. First, not all apps are able to be transferred to an external SD card. And finally, if you have apps with widgets and move them to the external SD, the widgets will not be available to use. There were some issues with the phone having lag but the most recent update seems to have fixed those issues!

Awesome
5 Star Review   By archmonk on AT&T - May 11, 2013

My review may be compromised because this beauty happens to be the first smartphone I own. For all i know S4 simply didn't disappoint me on any front. Snappiness, Camera, speed, everything about is just perfect and amazing. Much to the reviews that say that the air gestures are just a gimmick, I find myself using them very often and it sure is something that will grow onto you.

Love,Love,Love
5 Star Review   By LinenSeller on AT&T - May 10, 2013

I love Samsung's Slogan for this phone---Life Companion I'm finding this may be true for me. Both my daughters have iphones and love them. I've always had the samsung brand and had been thinking of converting before reading the reviews on the IV. So glad I didn't. I LOVE this phone. I particularly have gotten used to swyping when texting, which the iphone doesnt have. I primarily use my phone for taking photos for my business. Samsung knocked it outta the park on this one. Great clear photos! This is a larger samsung phone, which I like. However I noticed the feel of the phone is a lot slicker (much like the iphone) than previous versions. I purchased a cover and am pleased with the overall "feel" of the phone. This phone does have the new "eye movement sensor" which scrolls down the page when it senses your eyes moving downward. I'm not a big fan of that....guess I'm too much of a control freak in that regard. I disabled it. ;) I would definitely recommend this product. Great battery life. Love the pics. Sound is great and love the ringtones. I may just grow old with this one. :)

Great Phone, But some cons.
5 Star Review   AT&T

I've had this phone for about a week and a half now, and i have to say its been great. I've received no lag on the phone, though i don't let multiple apps run at the same time. The design of the phone is great, i don't mind it being plastic. The wow factor on the screen is there. I switched from an iPhone and the retina display has nothing on the beautiful 5 inch super amoled screen. Battery life has been great. I get about 2 days of moderate use, with features i don't use turned off. An extended battery will come in handy. I also recommend going with a tempered glass screen protector. The gorilla glass is great but it will crack. The biggest con was the lack of space that came with the phone. Seeing how i dont have that many apps it shouldn't be a problem with an SD card for miscellaneous things. I rate it a 10/10 and wouldnt switch it for any other phone as of now.

i just switched from an iphone 4s to the samsung galaxy s4. i was worried that i wouldnt be able to work this phone as i am so accustomed to the iphone, but after playing with the phone for a while i picked up the operating system. i doubt that i will be going back to apple now. this phone is so much faster, bigger screen, better camera, and awesome battery life. and the android operating system has all of my apps that i had on apple.

IPHONE USERS MUST READ!!!
2 Star Review   By Gsxr37 on AT&T - May 8, 2013

Ok so i have had the iPhone since the original hard metal cases , yes i know its been such a long time, but i finally decided to switch to the Galaxy S4 and see what all the hype was about. So i gave it a shot and i put down my iPhone 5 and bought the Galaxy S4. I have to say if your used to Apples design and style and ease of use DO NOT buy this phone. Given my 14 day trial period i noticed a lot that i couldn't get used like the EXTREME LAG of the phone. I had to enable developer settings and turn motion sensors and kill all applications in order to get the RAM down but it was still slow!

Swift, efficient and feature heavy. I would recommend this phone to anyone who uses their phone for more than just texting a couple people.
5 Star Review   By Illusion on AT&T - May 7, 2013

I have copious amounts of interaction both business and personal related with my phone. Moving from an iPhone to a Galaxy S2 and now to a Galaxy S4 in recent months I have had my fair share of phones and there are a few things to note if you are deciding whether or not to choose the Galaxy S4. Just as a primer, the deal breakers for me were the camera, battery life (nearly a day and a half at full use) and features. They really did a fantastic job with incorporating the features in the phone. I was blown away. Pros: Screen Size: Perfect for me. I'm a male with medium hand size and it fits well in my hand but it is slightly large in a female's hand. Battery Life: I use my phone frequently watching videos, texting, emailing among other things and the battery life is phenomenal. I was able to go for nearly a day and a half of near constant use before it died. For comparison, I had an iPhone and Galaxy S2 previously and those could barely make it 8 hours. Features: Never before have there been so many features in a phone and so well put together at that. I was speaking to several family members who noted, "If Apple doesn't add something substantial in their next release, I'm switching to Android". The features really sell a lot of people and Samsung does a good job incorporating it all and making things user friendly. Also, a big plus are features included in the "Smart Screen" which are able to read your eye movements and scroll pages, rotate images, pause videos or even keep the screen from locking (without any interaction) if you are looking at the screen. Great stuff. Camera: The 13MP camera is a HUGE plus. It was what made me choose this phone over the HTC One and I haven't looked back. Also, the camera has an ENORMOUS amounts of features and styles you can use whilst taking a picture. That is, different modes, styles, shades, qualities, etc. Incorporation of Widgets and Google Features: Samsung did a great job including features such as Google Now and Google Maps along with a plethora of other Widgets that enhance the experience and improve functionality. Weight: The phone isn't heavy. For the amount of stuff they've crammed into this thing, it definitely doesn't feel like a brick in your hand. However, they did sacrifice some things here (see Design under cons below). Odds and Ends: They included the ability to hide unused applications in your home menu now so making folders and labeling it "junk" isn't necessary anymore. Uninstalling an app can be done directly from the home menu so going to settings and several steps isn't required anymore. Cons: Internal Storage: 16GB. I ate that up in 10 minutes. My phone is full. For some it may not be a big deal but I also invested in a 32GB SD card which is also full. A 32GB internal storage option might be prudent. Design: Now some feel this is an important aspect of a phone and I agree. However, I don't feel the same way about the S4 or any of the Galaxy phones when it comes to plastic vs a titanium alloy. I don't care if it is plastic or aluminum or some hybrid. I'm not in the business of throwing my phones around and in the event that I drop it, I have a case for that. (Which, I will note, I have dropped it on concrete without the case and no harm was done at all...works great). Nevertheless, if a sleek aluminum or "Apple-esque" design is what you're looking for, the S4 isn't for you. It has a plastic case unlike many others. Odds and Ends: I'm not sure if I simply haven't figured it out or not but I enjoyed seeing who texted me on my locked screen instead of just displaying "New Message". The S2 did the former and the S4 does the latter. It is a slight annoyance but enough of one to make me note. Conclusion (tl;dr version): The S4 is an incredibly advanced piece of hardware and performance wise (even feature wise) takes the cake over many phones on the market today. With the great camera, perfectly sized screen, fantastic features and intuitive software design I chose the S4 over the HTC One. The only thing to really look out for is it currently only comes with 16GB internal storage and the case is plastic. Nevertheless, I would recommend this to anyone I meet. But my recommendation to you is to take this review, along with others, and trek down to your local phone retailer and try out the phone. Hold it, mess with the features, text, take a picture/video, surf the web, send an email, do anything they will let you and really put it through the motions. You will know the phone is for you if you don't get annoyed with it in the first 10 minutes. Good luck!

Best Phone Out There
5 Star Review   By IlJesus on AT&T - May 7, 2013

After owning numerous smartphones I switched to the Galaxy S4. Hands down this phone is the best phone out there. Everything about this phone is amazing. I was worried with the display being larger that the phone would be much larger but it's not. There's not a thing this phone cannot do. No lag & very fast. The only thing I disliked about this phone was the 16 GB model only shipped with 9 GB free. Not a big because the Galaxy phones allow the use of a memory card! Overall this phone is the very best, go out & buy yours!

so-so (part 2)
3 Star Review   By SFOJumper13 on AT&T - May 7, 2013

Day 5 with my new S4. Today, I had another "lag attack" on my profoundly claimed "super fast Snapdragon Quad 4 processor" The lag lasted about 5 minutes - frozen in time as I'd like to call it. Then I sat down and started disabling and deleting several AT&T products/preloaded softwares; what do you know?!?! It's running much faster-snappy! :)

Great phone!
5 Star Review   By Mariann on AT&T - May 6, 2013

This is a great phone. I purchased it Saturday and am still playing with all the features. The screen is beautiful, it's light and the battery is great (way better than my S3). This is the best smartphone that I've had. I've had all the iphones except for the 5 and this S4 beats them all.

This is what Awesome functions like
5 Star Review   By MarianneAZ on AT&T - May 5, 2013

I had the galaxy s3 and although the reviews said there wasn't so much change and if you had the s3 it wasn't "urgent" to buy it I bought it. I have to say this is the most awesome phone ever!!!! I LOOOVE the multi-screen feature and using it as a remote control for tv and directv. It's incredible! It has sooo many new features that when people ask me the differences I have no idea of where to start. At the end everyone is amazed and make fun of me and my "robot". I absolutely love it! The smart scroll is another out-of-this-world feature. The touchless screen alert information is amazing. I just motion my hand over the screen and it shows me the time, missed calls, text messages and then turns off. I could keep writing forever but I have a final paper to finish. AWESOME phone!!! Too bad I bought it during finals :( Highly recommend it

No text reflow; 6 languages only - flawed compared to HTC ONE on these.
1 Star Review   By AnnaTheWebSurfer on AT&T - May 4, 2013

I upgraded my 2.5 years old HTC Inspire to Samsung Galaxy S® 4, choosing it over HTC ONE. Comparing this phone to HTC One was not easy as they looked pretty much the same; what decided the matter was the SD card that Samsung allowed and HTC ONE did not. There are two issues with Samsung Galaxy S4: 1). No text reflow. Double tap to zoom makes the page and text larger but it doesn't make the text reflow - text refitting itself onto the screen after you re-size it while using a browser. The text breaks remain the same as prior to double tapping. If you pinch to zoom in larger, you end up having to scroll left and right to read the larger text because it does not reflow, i.e. does not adjust the text to fit the screen. This makes it very difficult to read from the internet. The old HTC Inspire refitted the text perfectly, and my expectation was that Samsung would too, but it doesn't. The text reflow issue also makes some websites unusable as the device does not deploy the site correctly on the screen. 2). Samsung Galaxy has only 6 languages built-in, one of them Korean. It supports only English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Korean. So, if you wish to use SMS in any other language, the phone will not correctly send or receive SMS in those other languages - question marks will appear on the receiver side instead of letters. You can install an app with multi-languages keyboard, but it replaces a much-praised original Samsung keyboard, and it will work only in e-mail, but not in SMS. This is an issue when traveling abroad with no internet/e-mail connection and having to communicate via SMS in any other language that is not included in these pre-set 6 languages. Some good things that I observed in Samsung Galaxy S4: 1). VERY long lasting battery. 2). Multi-browser feature - up to 11 browser windows can be opened. 3). Split-screen feature is useful. The phone did not meet my expectations overall, based on the above.

Great phone limited by internal storage size
3 Star Review   By Mark2111117 on AT&T - May 3, 2013

When you receive your phone it will only have about 9gb of use-able space. All the pre-loaded apps cannot be uninstalled. Yes you can install a external SD card but there are a few issues with this: you can't install apps on it (games can be pretty big), many apps will not let you use the sd card to store their data - a few examples are google music, kindle reader, spotify, etc- about half the apps I downloaded wouldn't, and finally when I had to reset my phone it erased the sd card forcing me to have to copy my music over again. What if I was on vacation and this happened with my photos? I returned it and will wait for the 64gb version.

The "Big Gun" of the smartphone industry!
5 Star Review   By JohnnyP08 on AT&T - May 3, 2013

The S4 should come with a warning saying "May cause you to fall in love instantaneously". Everything about this phone is outstanding whether it is the user interface or the camera or one of the Air features. The S4 is a perfect fit for anyone regardless of how your phone is used on an everyday basis. The air features are excellent to navigate through the phone if picking up the phone itself is not desired. Eye scroll comes in handy anytime you're working on your computer and have to look at your phone at the same time. The phone shows no lag whatsoever despite the heaviest usage episodes. In conclusion, calling this phone marvelous would be an understatement! If you're in the phone market, Go 4 it!

Great Phone but.....going back to my S3
4 Star Review   By tsmadm on AT&T - May 3, 2013

I was really excited to get this phone as I really love Samsung phones and the two things about my S3 that I did not like had been improved: Camera and Battery. On my first impression, I was really happy when I got it. However, that's when I really noticed two things that were a deal breaker for me: Available space for apps, and Bluetooth issues. On my S3, I had around 11GB to install apps and to store app data and things were really tight with Need for Speed and Slacker Radio.. On the S4 I had around 8.5GB. When I loaded the same apps, I was left with about 1.1GB free. This phone has soooo much extra software installed that most people will not use that it really limits what people can install especially when you can not move apps to the SD card. When people say "Oh but you can add an SD card and expand your space" this is true for music and photos, but not apps and any app data. The second issue I found when streaming audio to a Bluetooth device. Everything works fine except when a notification comes in for an email etc.., the music stops and the phone has to be reconnected to the Bluetooth device. Now here's is what is great. The screen is amazing, the camera as well, and battery life is excellent. Unfortunately, I can not deal with these issues on a high end smartphone so I will just deal with my S3 for a little while longer.

Great scree but too Delicate
3 Star Review   By jpcubed on AT&T - May 2, 2013

I switched from iPhone for the S4 and Love the features the screen and the camera. However 4 days after I got it it developed a small cresent shaped crack/chip at the botton of the screen. I never dropped it or ran into anything and was extremely careful with it. I suspect the durability might be an issue. I was debating between the S4 and several others and think I chose wrong.

Expected better
2 Star Review   By Mike87 on AT&T - May 2, 2013

My expectations for this device were so high. But, I guess even Samsung and AT&T can disappoint every now and then. Why AT&T would choose to sell a 16GB device with only 9GB of usable internal memory blows my mind. After downloading a few quality games on the Play Store you're practically left with nothing. The GS4 has a beautiful screen, however, I am one of the dozens who are experiencing the scrolling blur and purple/pink inversion treatment. Check online, there are many of other customers who are experiencing the same problems. This shows that quality control was not a priority before releasing this device to the public. Samsung and AT&T has got to do better... Hopefully the release of the LG Optimus G Pro will do better justice for us consumers. That device comes with 32GB internal storage with a display that is on par and maybe even better than the GS4.

Great Phone..
5 Star Review   By Emkei on AT&T - May 2, 2013

A lot of people complained about the design but, when I actually got the phone it was not bad at all... I read several review comparing this device with htc one and had chance to see and use both.. I just couldn't trust quality and experiences my friends had with HTC so I got Galaxy 4 and I certainly made right decision. snap 600 1.9ghz vs 1.7ghz lddr3 ram vs lddr2. I'm more of a spec priority so I chose Galaxy 4. You can always update software but you can't upgrade hardware..given potential Galaxy 4 is certainly better choice..besides Android is intended for people who likes to tweak softwares and apps anyway. ONLY BAD PART IS LIKE every other AT&T phone all those useless ATT APP GOTTA GO..

Amazing phone.
5 Star Review   By Foxhound on AT&T - May 1, 2013

Just switched to the galaxy s4 from an iphone and I must say, this is a really great phone. I'm new to the OS and so far I think that android is lightyears ahead of iOS. The s4 is a great device. The screen is the perfect size and the resolution is phenomenal. People just walk by me and see the large, high res display and immediately want to check it out. I also really like the UI and the fast performance. I can swipe through web pages, load my email, and respond to texts all lag-free. So far I can't find any cons in this phone. Sure it has a plastic back, but who really cares? It doesn't at all feel cheap and, if anything, when the plastic case gets all scratched up from continued use I can potentially buy a new one. The gesture features can be a bit touchy at times, sometimes they work great and other times not so great. It doesn't bother me that much because even without the gesture features this is still an amazing phone. Really the only thing I miss from my iphone so far is the physical switch that adjusted loud/vibration. Other than these few quibbles this phone is perfect.

Best Android Phone to date (2013)
5 Star Review   By Dontask77 on AT&T - May 1, 2013

S4 vs. HTC One. I just wanted to write a quick review for those that are torn between buying the new S4 or HTC One phone. I recently bought the HTC One phone. I ordered it online and was very excited about this phone. The sleekness and reviews had me anxious. Let me just say that I have owned all Iphones from the original Iphone to the Iphone 4. Around the time that the Iphone 4 was out, Samsung started to step up the phone game. I also have had the Lumia phone so I have tried out the Windows phones as well. My last phone before buying the HTC one was the Note II. I sold my Note II and bought the HTC one. Unlike many reviewers, many have not had the HTC one in their possession. They might have read reviews or seen it in the store but they have never owned it. I owned my HTC one for 10 days. I must say that I really enjoyed the HTC one. The crisp display was nice and the sound is great but the user interface started to remind me much of an Iphone but not as good. The features of the phone was what sold me but after owning it, I got bored with the phone very quickly and started to miss my Note II. To put so much money in these phones, you need protection so all of that nice aluminum casing was great but once you put a case on it, the beauty is gone. The sound is great but I started to think that the beats by dre seakers were more of an advertisement to get you to think that the speakers were better than what they really are. The thing is, if any phone had two front facing speakers, they would sound good and loud because they are facing you so I do not think it has anything to do with beats by dre. To be honest, the sound is clear and great but the speakers on my Note II were very loud and always created more sound than any other smart phone I was in contact with. After 10 days, I realized that the HTC one was not for me. I had a previous HTC inspire so this was not my first HTC phone. I did like the inspire for its time of existance. I took back the HTC one and went for the S4. I instantly realized what I had been missing which was the samsung user interface. There is nothing wrong with the HTC one but if you are coming from another Samsung phone, you are going to realize that you are going to miss that interface. If you are going from an Iphone and never had a Samsung phone, the HTC one will feel more comfortable for you. It is all about choice. Overall, Samsung is on top of their game. Yes, the S4 does have bloatware and useless functions but overall, it is the best phone. Loading times are faster than the HTC one but not by much. I am not bashing the HTC one by any means but it is not going to be loved by everyone. You have to truly own both of these phones to determine which one is best for you. As far as the cheap look and feel of the S4, well it is not cheap. It actullay feels good to hold and feels very light. There are enough cases for protection and the S4 does have the toughest gorilla glass 3. My advice is if you are going to buy either phone is to buy the one you want most and try it out. AT&T has the 14 day return policy. If you don't like it, return it and get the other choice. You will have to pay a $35 restocking fee but that isnt too bad. They are both good phones but the S4 wins in my opionion and I did give the HTC one a try.

This phone has exceeded my expectations!
5 Star Review   By TechQueen1991 on AT&T - May 1, 2013

This galaxy is by far the greatest evolution of all phones this includes iphones. I am an iphone converter to the galaxy. I loved my iphone but it was so limiting in features and innovation. This phone has a great and illuminating display, a vast amount of new features and an overall ease of use! I LOVE THIS PHONE. It is the best phone on the market for these reasons: Style Quality Innovation Bright Display Innovative features HD screen 13 megapixel camera/2 front facing quad core I dont see how anyone could not want this phone! Pictures turn out great, so much to do and I love using it.

Why was I so scared to switch!?
5 Star Review   By BlackRusshin on AT&T - May 1, 2013

So, I just came over to Samsung from Apple and I must say that the Galaxy S4 does not disappoint! I was a little skeptical about the fluidity and the familiarity I would lose from leaving iPhone, but I'm so glad I switched over! The difference in size, camera features was the determining factor for me! I've only had the S4 for 2 days and I can't put it down. It's such a great smartphone. The hand swipe technology is second to none. I will be a Samsung user from now on

Amazing phone!
4 Star Review   By lrt13 on AT&T - May 1, 2013

Overall this phone has been great to use! The design of the phone is so much better then the GS3. Much easier to hold in you hand, doesn't feel like its going to slip out while use it with one hand. The complaints about the back cover are dependent on who likes what. Compared to the GS2 & 3, this cover is much more sturdy and less cheap feeling. But its still a piece of plastic, so I don't know what else can be done. the edge of the phone looks and feels amazing. Doesn't feel or look cheap like others have said. The corners and buttons are sleek and stylish. The buttons defiantly feel much better then the GS3 which had sort a of loose feel to them. The screen looks absolutely amazing and is fast and easy to use. The weight feels amazing in your hand, not to light and not too heavy. Samsung did a great job with this new Galaxy! Battery life is as expected for a smart phone that is being used every second when you first get it. Air view gets kind of annoying at times, cant keep your finger over the screen without the phone reacting to it.

5 star flagship phone
5 Star Review   By Rabbit63 on AT&T - Apr 30, 2013

Awesome phone! Super fast and the screen is amazing! I was torn between the S4 and the One. A lot of reviews were saying how "cheap" the S4 feels and looks. The whole plastic vs metal argument. Not the case. The phone feels premium out of the box. 99% of users will be putting a case on the phone so not being bulit out of aluminum is not an issue. Deal breaker for me over the One was the ability to take the battery out of the S4. So glad I went with the S4. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high end flagship phone. You won't be disappointed.

Features are great! Synching not!
3 Star Review   By krisgo on AT&T - Apr 30, 2013

I absolutely loved using this phone for the few days I had it. It does seem a bit cheap (the back peals off to access the battery). It is lightweight and the screen size is great. The features are better than expected. The camera is quick and takes beautiful photos. Where it is lacking is syncing. There was not a lot of discussion about this when I researched so I thought it would be good to share my experience. I am an Outlook user and was switching from iPhone. The Kies software that is recommended is so far behind the technology within the phone. There is a problem with the S4 and Kies communicating. Samsung support was not able to troubleshoot the problem. Because I really wanted to be able to use this phone, I spent a lot of time trying to set up the syncing of Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Music and Bookmarks. In order to accomplish this, it involved five different programs to sync. I was really hoping to make the phone work, but it is too many steps to share data between my PC and phone. If Samsung can get this aspect figured out it will be a huge benefit to them and their customers. If syncing is not important to you, then I highly recommend the phone. It is fast and fun to use.

Better than expected
5 Star Review   By gram123474u4oo on AT&T - Apr 30, 2013

Great phone! Bought mine today and have been messing around on it since I got it. All the features, settings, Apps, and the whole works are fantastic. There is a few things that could be a pest such as: wallpaper pictures dont fit completely, the battery/back gets hot while charging, and just a few features have their bugs but what phone is completely perfect?.. So far this is the best one I have found! I was an Iphone user for awhile and was impressed with it but now after using other devices I am now no longer an Apple fan thanks to the Galaxy s3 and now the s4 has made my feelings on this line of devices much more amazed. Over all I must say FANTASTIC!

Best smartphone on the market right now
5 Star Review   By jalpseon on AT&T - Apr 29, 2013

The HTC One comes in a close second. Dual-front stereo speakers on the former are a nice addition and renovation to mobile handsets; aluminum body which is sleek; the Super LCD 3 display on it is also one of the best on the market, too; right up there with the Full HD Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S4. But there's no denying the technological superiority in the Galaxy S4's hardware and software features. Running a more recent revision of the Android firmware (4.2.2 vs 4.1.2 on the HTC One). Stronger, more scratch resist Gorilla Glass 3, faster RAM modules (LDDR3 vs. LDDR2), sharper camera in normal point-in-shot environmental situations; larger display on the same sized body (5" vs 4.7" inches on the HTC One.) The Galaxy S4 has touch capacity sensors for people who are wearing gloves, good for not having to expose your hands to those cold climate conditions. While the S4 isn't made of plastic, it's more sturdy and less likely to take damage than the HTC One - the latter which is prone to scratching easily and indentations. There's also ergonomics that surpass that of the one. It feels better to operate in the hand and has better button placements for one-handed use; it's also thinner and lighter than its competitor. Finally, the final nails in the coffin is that unlike the HTC One, the Galaxy S4 offers a removable backdoor, giving you access to expandable memory and greater battery life, should you need to swap your battery out with a spare, on the go. It's important to reiterate that the Galaxy S4 has superior battery life, whether or not you have to swap the battery or not. The hardware is also even more easily repairable, offering a most cost-effective price. The S4 is a more productive and functional handset, while the HTC One veers more towards aesthetics. In my personal opinion, both look good, but I just like the form factor of the S4 a bit more; even if it's beginning to grow as tiresome as the iPhone line-up, which hasn't changed in 3 years.

THE best phone ever!
5 Star Review   By Chistoefur on AT&T - Apr 28, 2013

I'm so happy with this phone, no one could understand! I had a chance to use it in a at&t store, and I absolutely fell in love! This phone is beastly, has powerful specs, a beautiful screen, an good design, but a bit similar to the s3, though that doesn't bother me. This is definitely the most featuristic phone on the market. I was about to get the HTC One, but all I seen in that phone was powerful speakers and a nice design, everything else I seen was in this phone. So happy with it!

Went from the HTC One X to the Galaxy S4 and I love the phone
5 Star Review   By cmt12 on AT&T - Apr 27, 2013

The phone works great, I just wish the battery would last a bit longer. One of the best things I think is that you can take the battery out and change it if you need. I don't mind a plastic body on the phone, I put it in a case. The HTC is sealed so you cant do any thing with it. The air gestures works once it learns how you move.

Excellent Catch-All Phone
5 Star Review   By mathjack on AT&T - Apr 27, 2013

This is just a snapshot review of the 16gb White Frost model that I received on 4/25/13... The aesthetics of the phone are absolutely gorgeous. The frost white color is much richer than the white s3, and catches light perfectly. As far as build quality is concerned, it feels solid in the hand, though not as much as an HTC or LG device. It is incredibly thin and looks quite premium. I did notice some slight "rattling" or "vibration" when handling the device or sitting it on a table, presumably from the vibration motors/magnets inside. The screen is the best that I've seen. Everything jumps out at you and is rich in detail. The camera takes excellent shots no matter the situation, and the camera features are fun to play with. The speaker leaves a bit to be desired, and is too easily muffled when the device is face up. For non-tech-savvy users, the plethora of features can be overwhelming, but to anyone with a knowledge of Android and/or TouchWiz, there really isn't any difficulty with navigation or use of the device. All of the Air View features work as described, but can be a bit glitchy if not in ideal surroundings. It's disappointing to see that Samsung still does not allow installing apps to an SD card, so keep this in mind when purchasing. An SD card can only be used to store media on this device. Overall, this is a great phone that can easily handle any task thrown it's way. While it's not constructed of a glass or aluminum unibody, it still looks quite premium and feels like it should hold up just fine, provided it has some sort of case/skin protecting it. The features and camera alone are enough of a reason to choose this device. Add to that Samsung's reputation of incredible support and timely updates, and you have a winning combination. I would easily recommend it to anyone looking for a premium flagship phone.

So far the best galaxy phone so far
5 Star Review   By Joose on AT&T - Apr 26, 2013

I am impressed about how the features worked smoothly without any glitch. The screen is very vivid and sharp which makes the user experience even better. It had a lot of functions you can work with so you can't easily get bored like the iPhone. S voice works like charm, it understood all my commands without a mistake, which is useful when driving. Overall I definitely recommend this phone for anyone who is looking to enhance their experience and handle a longer battery life. I was on it for a good two hours testing everything out and the battery level didn't move as much as I thought. I have no clue about the previous commenter who gave it a 1 star, but that is definitely not the case. Try it out for yourself if you are still not convinced.

Big brother to the s3
3 Star Review   By cheapestt on AT&T - Apr 25, 2013

i own a galaxy s3 but when i got the s4 i didn't find any significant difference except the bigger screen and the 13mp camera... the eye/air scrolling feature only works 20% of the time, which was supposed to be one of the best features on the phone. The built quality is still poor and cheap and since the phone weighs less, the plastic feels unsafe if dropped. the HTC one has its cons but i'll recommend it over the S4 because you don't get to use all features on the S4 everyday which leaves you with just a lighter plastic upgrade to the S3.

The Best Phone On The SmartPhone Market, Well Done Samsung !!!
5 Star Review   By JL2013 on AT&T - Apr 23, 2013

This phone is Excellent ! Amazing HD display, a awesome 13mp camera that takes stunning pictures, even in low light areas. Great battery life for a phone with a massive display and heavy use ! Next , the 1.9 quad core processor is amazing and super fast, it load games quickly and really is a big help while multitasking ! Even though the phone is mad of plastic it will be great for accidental drops on the floor, unlike the htc one or the iphone 5 that is made of metal and when dropped will have nics and cracks/scratches all over it which is very unpleasing. Call quality it great to with the help of noice canceling. Also, the gorilla glass will be a great use to so that you dont have to worry about a cracked screen like the iphone 5 for example. But all around the Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the BEST, SMARTPHONES OUT RIGHT NOW !!

5 Star Review   By MacD on AT&T - Apr 16, 2013

Takes awesome pictures with 13mp with low light! HD video recording. All the gadgets with air gesture, tv remote, dual camera recording, S Translate, and etc.... I got the white one and I can not put my S4 down. Had S2, S3, Note 2, and now owning this S4 in my collection is a must! Great design and thin and too much to list. I love how Samsung comes out with its new innovations for the next big thing of Smart Phone!
