Great!
4 Star Review   By Cpuksta on AT&T - Nov 8, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

It's a great phone. It's not as fast as some smaller ones but the slower speed doesn't bother me too much. It has great battery power and also has a cool larger screen. For me, at first, it was odd to have such a large phone. But I got use to it. It just seems, as I look at it now, to me, to be a regular size phone. I no longer see it as overly large. It's great to read books on! And has a good loud speaker. It took time though to get use to handling it. The power button is in a bad place and easy to turn off during a conversation. I no longer do that now. I know exactly how to handle it. Like riding a bike. Although when I let someone borrow it, they don't understand how to pick it up which is annoying.

Dat screen!
5 Star Review   By wildblue on AT&T - Oct 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

If you need a phone that rides the line between tablet and smartphone, look no further. I think this is probably the absolute limit on size for a smartphone, and I love it. If you have failing eyesight (like me), love games, love to draw or take notes on your device definitely give this a look. Although a member of the Galaxy family, it doesn't retain all of the features of the S4 or the Galaxy Note 3, but in my opinion that's a good thing. It helps keep the price down and there are less unwanted "features" to bog down performance. Speaking of which, I have a couple of friends with the S4 and in comparison I see no appreciable performance difference between the Mega and that handset in day to day tasks. And I just can't say it enough - dat screen! It may "only" be 720p but it is big, bright and gorgeous. Can't remember the last time I've been this happy with a phone. That being said, if you're on the fence do not buy online. You really need to go into a store and look at one of these before you decide. Trust me, you really have no concept of how large this device is until you see it in person and although I love it, it may just be way too big for some folks to handle.

Best phone I've had in a VERY LONG time
5 Star Review   By Nomad247 on AT&T - Oct 18, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I got this one because I could not read many things on my Droid 2, text messages, my on-line banking, emails, have bad eye sight and that's wish correction. This phone I can read EVERYTHING with ease, make the text bigger in text messages, emails, on-line banking. I really love this phone and what's best of all, I thought that having on a touch screen with no querty keyboard will stop me using is as much but I can actually type better on this than any other phone I have had. I think it takes good pics and has all the features I wanted. I rate this one at 150%.

Big Phone!!!!
4 Star Review   By RDavies on AT&T - Oct 17, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

Just got this phone about 3 days ago and "man" it is big! I was a little nervous about how I would carry it around, but I got used to it. I traded my iphone 5 for it. I needed a bigger screen and got tired of waiting for Apple to deliver. This phone runs surprisingly smooth. It is fast and the battery last me all day. Finding a case for it was not easy. Most likely will need to get a Bluetooth headset for it. Love the big screen!

Megaperfect
5 Star Review   By rhonnelc on AT&T - Oct 16, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I've been an iphone user to samsung note 1 & 2. This is so perfect. Don't let bad reviews discourage you. Its big but not bulky. Very easy on the eyes. Especially if you play games, surf & social media. This phone is right on. I have no complain & the price is very reasonable yet it is only 7cm away from a mini ipad. You only need to carry 1 device. So take it from this review. I have had all cells. This is not a novice reviewer.

LOVE My Mega!
5 Star Review   By Terri1234 on AT&T - Oct 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

If you are looking for a phone that won't get lost in your purse and need a screen large enough to view text without reading glasses! This is it! I love my Mega! I was concerned about the bad reviews I had seen which talked about the resolution not being so good. I have no complaints. This phone does everything I need it to. I do not miss my iPhone at all!

If your looking at this phone, it's because YOU WANT A BIG PHONE & THIS IS IT.
5 Star Review   By FrankieSerrano on AT&T - Oct 11, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I loved my Samsung Note 2 and patiently waited for the Note 3. Then I came across the Mega in July but seen it was only available in Russia and elsewhere. So when I heard it was at the AT&T store on a Friday I spent the rest of the day and most of the following Saturday debating whether or not to get the Mega or the Note 3 which was 2 weeks out. I broke down and got the Mega because I knew NO ONE had it and because it was bigger. After having it for nearly 6 weeks, I am happy with it. I get stopped all the time because people can't believe how huge it is. I like it because its used 98% of the time it's in my hands as a small tablet. I text, read, view videos, listen to music, ext. on it. The other 2% of the time I use it as a phone. It is a big phone but it's in my face like less than a minute a call. It's like everything else in life, you just get used to it. I would recommend it. Especially if you want it for all activities other than making calls. That's why they made bluetooth earpieces.

Cant wait for the Mega2
4 Star Review   By aloha808 on AT&T - Oct 8, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I purchased this device on the launch day. I decided to wait to write my review to give an honest review. I had all the Note models as well as the LG G Pro. I absolutely love this device. I am never worried about size. In fact I am always one who thinks bigger is better. My only concern was with the RAM. I was afraid that 1.5 GH of ram may not make my phone as fast as my Note 2 or LG G Pro. I was wrong. I see no difference in speed or clarity. Although, some may say coming from a Note 2 to the Mega is a down grade. This is not true. I have over 100 apps on my Mega and it works perfect. I had to have my Mega replaced once. My phone was overheating so the wonderful people at at&t kindly replaced my device. So far so good. The only issue that I am having is the battery. I have read every review on here for the Mega and almost everyone states that they get a full day or more on the battery. I find that really really really hard to believe. I wake up at 4am every day, my phone dies by 10am. I am constantly on my phone for work, so I had to purchase 2 extra batteries just to get through the day. Even if I kill all my running apps, even if the phone is in stand by mode the batter doesnt last as long as everyone is saying. I do not charge my phone until it gets to 1%, than I switch batteries and charge the used one. When I only had one battery I had to charge my Mega 3x throughout the day. I make a lot of calls and calendar entries. I use the web, but not really heavy usage, I do alot of texting and videos. My advise to you if your thinking about getting this device. JUST DO IT. Big is better. I am so in love with my device. I wish it came in white. I cant wait for the Mega 2. Just buy extra batteries through Samsung.

best phablet and smartphone ever
5 Star Review   By bellahere on AT&T - Oct 7, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I was thinking about getting a galaxy note 3 and while browsing att website I accidently see this phone which has bigger screen than note 3 and only has half of the price of note 3. I then come to att store and tried both phone---and quickly decide I will get the mega 6.3. I've used it for 10 days and I give it a 5 star. I was worried about the resolution and the dual core processor and the 1.5 GB RAM, but they turned out to be no problem--I had very smooth experience when using it. The same apps that I used on my old galaxy s2 just seem to be more fun when used on mega with a super huge screen. The battery is great--and I advise to add a battery saver app so under relatively heavy use the phone still will get you through 7am to 10pm. It has no s pen in it but just buy a cheap stylus and with some drawing apps it functions as good as any note series. I think there's absolutely no need to pay double the price for note 3 just for a pen. The display is great. Crystal clear when watching videos and reading e books. After I get this phone when I see people using other phones their phone just seems to be so tiny..... If I can make any suggestions for samsung to improve this product, I'd say get higher resolution, camera with higher pixels, and as a phablet if the s pen is included that will be awesome. I think if samsung will release mega 2, mega 3, etc, then I will be upgrading my phone in this line.

Outstanding Phone - Coming from Note 1
5 Star Review   By MikeB941 on AT&T - Oct 5, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

While I benefit so much from these reviews I RARELY take the time to write one - but HAD to for the Mega - coming from the Note 1 (which had become so laggy, unresponsive and SLOW over time after ICS - in fairness I did have it loaded down with a lot of applications) - I was concerned about dropping back to a dual processor from the quad processor on the Note and about the display resolution - I have to say ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with either - the Mega is LIGHTER than my note, WAY faster and the screen is every bit as brilliant (to me) - also because the Note 1 isn't likely to upgrade to 4.2.2 it's been great to get that as well with the Mega (many features in 4.2.2 I had purchased "add on apps" to achieve that I no longer have to!) - I did NOT utilize the stylus/drawing apps on the Note, so giving these up was not an issue for me (this could be an issue for others thinking about making the jump from the Note though) - Battery life is also excellent - looks like I'm lasting about a day and half, under relatively heavy use - the added size is JUST what I'm looking for as I often need to use the phone for web based work in a pinch when I don't want to whip at the 10" Galaxy tab - the Mega's Wifi HotSpot works great to support my tablet as well as my laptop - love the simplified one button with the settings and back arrow touch pads) - sound quality is also solid despite only having one speaker - will admit I'm having a little trouble at the moment bluetooth connecting my speakers - but still working on that - all in all I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED WITH THIS PHONE!!!

Perfect phone for the perfect price!
5 Star Review   By Rokk on AT&T - Oct 2, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I am coming from the Note 1, and originally planned on going with the Note 3. However, once I found out about the Mega (from a friend) I figured I would give it a shot. Boy am I happy I did. While I am positive I would have loved the Note 3 as well, I can't get over the fact that it's half the price. Yes the Note 3 does have better specs and more bells and whistles, however most of which I wouldn't use anyway. This truly is a great phone.

This is used as my second line and it's primary function is watching movies(on the go),playing games and editing photographs. I love the large screen although it not a clear as my Samsung Galaxy 3,it serves it's purpose. Add a battery saver app and the battery will last at least 24 hours with minimum drainage. I usually have 46% battery life left at the end of the day of heavy usage. I've had it for a month and no complaints. Just finding a protective case for it was challenging but found one.

Best phone I have owned.
5 Star Review   By Snailbait on AT&T - Sep 26, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I came over from Verizon using the Motorola Droid Razr. This phone blows it out of the water. The screen is huge and clear and the phone itself is well made. The clarity on the screen is very good. I read a review on cnet and almost didn't get this phone because of it. Take it from me.... go to the store and look at this phone before you make a decision. I was scared away by their review but once I saw it, had to get it. The only change I would like to have made would be the glass. I wanted Gorilla glass and it does not have it. I have it in the Incipio case and it is awesome. Has a little window so you can see important info without opening it up and it wakes the phone when you open it, so no need to hit any buttons. I will be keeping an eye on this line of phone and I will DEFINITELY UPGRADE TO THE MEGA 2 WHEN IT COMES OUT.

Perfect Phone!
5 Star Review   By mikedinh on AT&T - Sep 9, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

Coming from Galaxy Note I, I am extremely happy with my new Galaxy Mega phone whose screen size is just perfect for me. I just love this phone so much! Since I got this phone 10 days ago, I still have not reset the phone. It works like a champ! As for the battery, Samsung, at this time, has completely overcome the weaknesses of Android smartphone as the battery itself, until now, is still a big issue. However, I no longer have encountered this big issue of the battery as it can sustain the charge for the whole day. For example, I normally unplug my mega around 5:25 AM as I have to commute to work. I heavily use this phone to surf the Internet, listening to my music all day long, and sometime watching video on youtube... and this phone has so far passed this test as the battery at the end of a day still indicates more than 50% remaining on the phone. I only re-charge it at a time of my bedtime when the battery indicator still displays more or less 50% remaining of the charge. I am just stunned! This phone is just wonderful! I can't complain it anymore. As for processors and memory, it's 1.7GHZ dual-core and 1.5GB, respectively. It is still really fast! I hardly see any lags on the screen or from a running application. As for the brightness of the screen, it is really good even it is still 720hp HD in resolution. I wish it would have come at a higher resolution with 1280 or 1980hp, but it is still good enough to read, watch or write text/email without any problems. All in all, this phone is the combination of a phone and a tablet. I like a big phone, and this is the one that meets my standard. This phone has not disappointed me so far! I do not need too many functions that Note II can provide. This one can do everything for my needs!

Excepional, except battery life
4 Star Review   By shenurse on AT&T - Sep 6, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I went from iPone5 to Mega 6.3, I really like the Samsung, except the battery life is no where near the specs. I charged to 100% and with no usage overnight it was 56% by morning (7hrs). I have had this phone for 5 days and am charging everyday, battery life is poor, I am not a heavy user and in the time it took to write this review so far, the phone has gone from 93% to 90% just sitting next to me not in use. I am having to learn the Android system and find that the iTunes was much more simple to use as opposed to searching several Android app sites to find what I use.

All-around awesome phone
5 Star Review   By vjames on AT&T - Sep 4, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

This thing is huge but not bulky, and simply beautiful. If Samsung comes out with a Mega 2, like the Note 2 and upcoming 3, I'll be upgrading when the time comes. The display and Samsung's attention to detail in every aspect of the phone are incredible. Best phone I've had!

love this phone
5 Star Review   By NateXO on AT&T - Sep 4, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I cannot tell you how fast I go through phones. I had the Note 1, upfraded a year later to the Note 2, upgraded several months later to the Optimus G Pro (love this phone so much better than the Note 2), now I have the Galaxy Mega. This is by far the best phone I have ever used. Aside from it lacking high end technical features this phone is a must have. When I first seen this phone I told myself its to big. After one hour with it, I wasnt saying that anymore. I love the size and look for this phone. I can only Imagine whem the Mega 2 comes out. Can we say flagship device. The processer is fast and responds quickly. Battery life is another story. Because im always on my fablet now I find myself charging it 3 times a day. I need to get a spare battery. I have no complaints about this device. My advise to you is dont think of the size, once you get it your immediately going to think size is not an issue. My only complaint is the white model is not yet available.

Better value than S4 and Note 2
5 Star Review   By Keli1981 on AT&T - Aug 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I was debating if I will keep my Iphone 4 as my phone and just get a Samsung galaxy tab 3 8inch as my tablet. I figures the hassle of bringing 2 devices if you travel wherein you can actually put them into one device, which is the Samsung MEGA. It's specs, battery life, usability, design, and of course the screen size is very impressive. I've downloaded some apps from the Google Marketplace to sync my entire ITunes library. Its that its not as fast as the Galaxy s4 due to only dual core but try it yourself and you can see the swiftness. It also has the features of the Galaxy S4 like air view and stuff like that in a bigger screen. Battery life is simply incredible. I unplugged it at 7:30Am and came home with around 31% with surfing the net all day with few videos and music. To sum it up, this is probably the best Samsung phone to date. Not as complicated as the Note 2 and not as fast as the S4 but it works smoothly without lag. Also, The 1280x720 is sharp enough to play games, surf the net, and read your E-books. Go to an AT&T store and try it yourself. You'll be amazed on how big and crisp the screen is.

Everything is bigger in Texas!!! Thanks Samsung
5 Star Review   By wheaties on AT&T - Aug 27, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I went from the Samsung 2 to the SG4 and now to the Mega. The phone is huge.. and I Love it. I've only had it a whole 24 hours and have not been able to keep my hands off it. I see a major difference in the battery life. Has not went red.. even after all night and day use. (as did my sg2/sg4 even after being charged all night) In addition to the multi screen action forcing me to multi task. The sound quality is good and the picture is superb for movies! I only wish that the design had been different from the others. It truly looks like a galaxy on steroids! 1 complaint..I'm a woman can't help. A few apps stated not compatible with device. Downloaded from web. Works great!

Top of the line phone, blending tablet with talk.
5 Star Review   By GalaxyS4User on AT&T - Aug 24, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I got this phone as soon as it came out, as someone who has difficulty with smaller phones and typing out messages, the size of the screen really blew me away. The phone is massive, probably too big for many people, in my case however I have no trouble placing the phone in my jeans pocket, and even though it is large it is light enough that you barely can tell you have the device with you outside of the size. My primary reasoning for buying such a multifaceted device was so I could use it for studying in class at college and for multimedia, the screen and sound quality for the "Galaxy Mega" is absolutely astounding at that! I was amazed at how loud and clear the audio is with the speaker, something I had not anticipated and am greatly enjoying. Perhaps the most impressive, and for that matter important feature I found, was that the battery life is remarkable, fully charged and in use, my Mega is able to run for just over 10 hours without stopping, and the charge during typical daily use will easily make it from when you get up to when its time to go to bed. This device was without a doubt a sleeper hit for me, on a whim I chose it over the impressive Galaxy S3, and the "Mega" really hits all the right notes, its battery makes it viable, the price is excellent for its versatility, and the size and quality of the device as a whole really brings it to life. If you are in the market for a basic tablet, and a high quality phone, save some money and make an investment on the "Mega" I think you will be glad you did.

OMG! Great phone.
5 Star Review   By Derek2013 on AT&T - Aug 24, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

Originally wanted to go with the Note II, but was advised that I would love this phone even more so. At first sight I was triple amazed at how HUGE it was. It is so big I cannot get over its size, but I've embraced its monstrousness. Although its size is quite large it's so sleek it's almost sexy.. :). I've not yet used all of the features, but I am simply in love with how user friendly it is. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who's a big screen lover. I must say that I am a little disappointed that it does not come standard with a stylus nor headphones like some of the other contenders, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would have been great, being that I'd be using it more like a tablet than a phone. Another thing to consider is the way it'll look against your face. The size really makes it look a little weird...lol, but who cares it's still an amazing device. Samsung once again you've made an awesome unit. Now go get you one!

I love the size of the screen on this phone.
5 Star Review   By Cammy1989 on AT&T - Aug 24, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I've only had this phone for 24 hours (bought it yesterday -- when it was first available at ATT store.) I can finally read web pages well and play games that I could not do on my Infuse (which is bigger than an iPhone). I like the additional features but am still learning about them due to the short time I've had the phone. There are also lots of different cases available for them. I watched a TV show on it and It is a good size for that. I really like the larger keys on the screen and there are number keys above the letters--that is a lot easier than switching between screens. It fits in my purse just fine.

The amount of RAM advertised is not correct.
3 Star Review   By Bhodi on AT&T - Aug 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from AT&T )

I was at the ATT store this morning when they opened to look at this phone in live in person. I looked at the RAM and noticed that there was only 1.32 Gig while the posted data on this phone states that it has 1.5 Gig of RAM. The phone was using at least half of that barely running any programs. Clearing the memory did not lower the amount of RAM being used. It may be a good idea to consider this before purchasing this phone. Normal to even slightly above normal use of this phone could take it over the limit and cause issues.
