worst phone in the world
1 Star Review   By kelly127 on AT&T - Jul 30, 2012

i was so excited to get this phone but shortly after i was disappointed because the battery life is horrible, the phone turns itself off randomly. it is just the worst phone ever and i would not recommend this to a friend. i would rather get a flip phone that's how bad it is.

What a disappointment!!
1 Star Review   By joshu on AT&T - Jul 1, 2012

I was so excited to finally get my first smartphone but my excitement quickly ended! I have to switch on & off, sometimes having to remove battery, because it's constantly freezing. It's soooo slow, the battery life is non-existant & the reception for voice calls is terrible. I can hardly wait for my next up-grade. Sorry AT&T, nothing great I can say about my experience with this phone.

this phone is absolute junk
1 Star Review   By randomm82 on AT&T - Jun 12, 2012

freezes up while loading. clunky layout. keyboard is too wide and the ALT key for numerals or special characters is super irritating. web pages load slow when not in range of wifi, video is nearly unwatchable. i miss the good old days when phones were just phones and all they had to do was call or text. smartphone batteries last no where near as long as a standard phone, which i did not realize. used to go a week without needing to charge, now it's every other day. apps constantly running will drain the battery FAST.

The Pantech Crossover pros and cons
3 Star Review   By WildRickyD on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

I got my Pantech Crossover about a month ago, I noticed several things on it that really made it neat and some things that really are not the best. I liked the design of the display, easy to navigate the features. However the screen gets dirty and is hard to clean. The touch screen is very touchy when dirty and sometimes take a second to clean up to answer text or phone calls. The OS is very easy to use and seems to be about average. The 3G makes for quick downloads. The thing I do not like is the slide out keyboad, if you have wide fingers and trying to type you will be going back and fixing issues in your text. Over all it is not a bad phone and can take a beating without breaking.

Could be better.
3 Star Review   By im4okstate on AT&T - Jun 10, 2012

I really liked the style and use of the phone. However, I feel it could definitely use an upgrade to be better. It frequently freezes, and touch screen can be slow. It will also frequently update my contact listing and my contact list will be unavailable for days making it difficult to call anyone unless I already know their number or they are already in my call log.

awkward
2 Star Review   By mommyof3plus on AT&T - Jun 7, 2012

I've always prefered the slide phones, but after having this one for 3 days I am planning on switching to another style. The volume key gets in the way when you are slidding it open. the buttons are a nice size but for some reason when I type the phone either adds a letter or skips a letter, also it deleted sentences after I typed them. You need both hands to slide the phone open. the function key is also in a bad spot, it's always turning on.

Love my Pantech Crossover
5 Star Review   By Texygrandma on AT&T - Jun 6, 2012

My Pantech Crossover is an excellent choice for my texting and call needs. I experience excellent quality with my calls and ease in texting. The features are great too. One thing I would like added would be a flash for my camera, as my photo's sometime require more light for better quality/clarity. My Wi-Fi experience is generally ok unless I am up 30 stories it might cut off. My smartphone is also cost effective, because I was paying a similar rate with another carrier for a phone with no features.

4 Star Review   By annieP on AT&T - Jun 4, 2012

I like the pantech crossover because I would always hit the wrong key when using other phones so for me it is a personal thing. The phone takes great pictures and video. Their are features on the phone that I have not used yet always finding new things to do.I know within a few months this phone will be outdated because they keep coming out with new phones.

the best telephone fof me, ababy boomer.
5 Star Review   By ElisaI on AT&T - May 27, 2012

My experience with this telephone is positive. The structure is very hard, when it falling down, is unbreakable.Although quite technological, for my age is easy to handle. I feel comfortable using it, all applications are great. The screen is small but easy to visualize, and has option of touch screen and keyboard, voice search .among other excellent aplicaciones.I recommend it.

Awesome Android with a Keyboard
5 Star Review   By JamisonRocks on AT&T - May 25, 2012

Pantech got it right with its first Android device that packs a QWERTY keyboard & touchscreen combined. Texting and emails is a breeze and even though just a 3.0 cam, the auto focus helps to ensure great pics if taken in well lit areas. The Custom User Interface along with gingerbread 2.3.6 that you can upgrade to really helps add flare to the phone. The look is futuristic and rugged and overall a joy to use. It may only be a 600 Mhz but if you manage your apps and move most to a recommended 32 GB card you should have no problem freeing up the phones memory. I have had no problems with it being real slow or freezing up as others had mentioned, to me its all how you use it and manage memory. The 1500 battery is awesome and last a while for such a small phone with a tiny screen this in return helps to keep up battery strength. The keyboard coming from a blackberry is very low key, flat, and works well with my hands. I like that it is spacious and not cramped. It is wifi capable which helps cut back data. Screen is vibrant and colorful for just a HVGA screen with low resolution. The phone is nice, something different and finally a android device that sports a keyboard in my opinion that is awesome.

4 Star Review   By scudder on AT&T - May 24, 2012

There is so much to do on this phone! My kids both have one, my husband and I both have one. We all love these phones. The battery lasts forever, easy photo share, facebook, twitter etc. The touch pad isn't finicky like some phones and the camera is great!

Worst phone I've ever had!
1 Star Review   By Nat21 on AT&T - May 7, 2012

This is probably the worst phone I've ever had. I absolutly hate it. The touch screen freezes up all the time and the phone restarts itself about 3 times a week. Apps always stop working. The only thing I like about it is the Swype feature. Camera is very poor quality and doesnt have flash.

Overall good phone
4 Star Review   By maczacattack on AT&T - May 6, 2012

I just like the overall use of this device, its simple to operate, easy key pad, great graphics. I wish the battery last longer, drains faster when in use. Also the camera is a bit tricky to use but the quality of the picture if you post it or send it is great.

2 Star Review   By cookman on AT&T - May 1, 2012

It is terrible.
1 Star Review   By batmannotrobin on AT&T - Apr 21, 2012

This phone is really a terrible phone. First of all the messaging is awful, it freezes every time I text so just sending a response takes like five minutes when it should take twenty seconds, it won't receive or send picture messages, and it's just generally terrible. The wifi is okay, and the rest of the phone isn't horrible. The camera isn't too good or too bad, and the battery life is so-so if I charge it nightly, but overall it really is just horrible.

Worst Cheap phone ever
1 Star Review   By SteveW on AT&T - Apr 20, 2012

This phone is not worth getting! Avoid it! Because of this phone I dislike Android. If you MUST get a cheap phone, don't let this one be it. Lock screen is NOT really a lock screen, stupid design, Screen touch delays, crashes, slow. HATE how there is an emergency button on the lock page - my 2 year olds will grab the phone and start hitting screen, must of called 911 six times already. Who puts an emergency button on a lock screen? Slow page transitions when opening an app, like an old 386 PC. very frustrating. Buttons on the outside of the phone are in all the wrong spots where you hit it all the time, setting off the camera, or locking it or bringing up menus. Get a different cheap phone, not this one.

Good phone!
4 Star Review   By kk1996 on AT&T - Apr 7, 2012

I've had this phone and it has been a pretty good phone! It has randomly shut off before and every once in a while the apps take a while to load. The battery lasts me almost the whole day, it gets to dying point by the end of the day. As a first android from Pantech it is pretty nice! The design is nice and its overall a good phone!

This phone has always been bad to me.
2 Star Review   By erhhnnn on AT&T - Apr 5, 2012

When I first got this phone, it worked great and had no issues. But after maybe the first week or two is when it started having problems. It got extremely slow and took forever to load anything, even the text message screen. Then my screen stopped working at random, or it randomly wont show what I'm typing until i slide it open and then close it. It randomly shuts off every now and then but not too much. It also likes to randomly disconnect any SD cards that you put it in, and the only way to fix it is to restart the phone. Overall I've been rather displeased with this phone.

Good for texting
4 Star Review   By Grumdot on AT&T - Mar 5, 2012

Overall, this is a good phone. I got it because I got tired of the small buttons on my old blackberry. I text more than anything else, so that was important. It is also a step up when it comes to email and surfing the web. WiFi works well The biggest problem is the battery can't keep up with the phone. It is not unusual for me to have to charge it twice in one day. The instruction manual was only so-so. for example, I found out by accident that if you want to turn off the music player or other apps, you hold down the "home" button and it takes you to a separate screen to close applications. I also recommend getting a Ringtone Maker app, instead of buying ringtones. You can save money buy making your own ringtones from your own dowloaded music. And the phone doesn't have very many loaded.

Overall good phone
3 Star Review   By CieraTiana on AT&T - Mar 3, 2012

I like the phone overall, good to text on, the slide out keyboard has big keys. That makes it good for fast typing. The touch screen sometimes takes a while to react or doesn't always react correctly. My biggest problem with the phone is that I've only had it two weeks and it already has dust behind the screen. Not so bad I can't see on the screen but enough to be noticeable especially on a white screen. But this phone does have a portable hotspot and works great with my tablet. Hotspot does drain battery fast though.

Good but looking for better
3 Star Review   By Maggie8811 on AT&T - Feb 23, 2012

I enjoyed this phone but had issues with it stalling/ going slow. The touch screen would randomly not work and i'd have to use the keyboard to shut it down and turn back on. I very much enjoy the durable design and the keyboard with big enough keys for typing. This was my second pantech and they last forever, but this one is less reliable.

Good entry level Android slider
4 Star Review   By Danoooo on AT&T - Feb 20, 2012

(Disclaimer)There are better options if you are going to sign up for a two-year contract. ---The battery life on this phone is great for a smartphone. The metric for smartphones is a single day of use, and this one will do that, with some left over. I easily get two days with light use. ---The default animated lock screen is problematic. Changing it to a simple pattern unlock will save you some frustration. ---I changed the launcher to ADW. ---The phone has not frozen, nor has the screen been unresponsive after I have made the above changes. It is a good phone if you are looking for a slider. The form factor is a bit chunky, especially with a case-mate installed. However, I am pretty sure it can withstand some abuse. It can be acquired without a contract for CHEAP! I replaced an HTC Aria with this, and am completely satisfied.

Amazing! Love the camera!
5 Star Review   By harvardgrad2017 on AT&T - Feb 18, 2012

Durability: I got this phone in June 2011. I have kept a case on it and let me tell you! It's amazing! The only scratches there are on the screen. (Talking on the phone and earring scratches the screen) Sound: The only thing I don't like it is that I can't change the sound of getting an email or text. So I'm not able to tell the difference of which one I'm getting. Camera: The camera is amazing! It may take more then 2-3 seconds but the resolution is by far the best I've ever had on a phone! Ease of use: Though it's a different set up then a regular phone my friends & me both find it very easy to navigate through the phone! Good for texting: As a "turbo texter", getting an amazing phone centered around texting was my main plan. After getting this phone I have seriously multiplied my speed of texting by the hundreds. The only bad thing I have to say about the phone is that the 3rd row, (the 'M') is all move one space to the right. It does take a while to get used to that. But, the buttons are very big and easy to use. Style/Color/Shape: I love this phones shape! It's amazing! Even though the yellow might interfere with some casses it's very cool. Battery life: As a continuous texter/emailer/talking/social networker: My phone has to be recharged after the 8 hour school day. Many times. If I talk fo more then an hour it's down to 20%. Bulky/Heavy: I may love this phone but the bulkiness is very annoying. At my age, I carry around a purse. But when I'm out clubbing I don't like to have to carry around a purse. So I constantly have to leave it in my dorm and then ride a cab home. I find it a waste of money. Freezes: My phone freezing constantly! Sometimes so bad I have to turn it off to get it to actually started working again. And when I'm on Facebook it just stays on a loading screen. Overall: This phone is amazing! I would totally recommend this to anybody! (:

3 Star Review   By Wynny on AT&T - Feb 5, 2012

I have owned every version of Pantech phone from the beginning to this phone... Ive always liked the ease of use Pantech has provided with all of their phone and even tho I love this phone to death I still have allot of hang-ups with this phone but we cant have a perfect phone now can we? The phone freezes up once in awhile causing it to lock down and in some cases I have to take the battery out just to shut it off and restart it to stop the freeze. Camera is a slow and takes a few seconds to take a picture. Battery life is very poor... it last half the day for me and I even keep it fully charged at night. By the end of my 8hr work day I'm already having to recharge the battery. The volume isn't great either... half the time I have to put my phone on speaker phone for me to hear people talking to me. I wish there was a way I could control the sounds for my txting, email and facebook responses... they are either the same (i.e txting/email) and I cannot tell if Im getting a txt or an email and very loud mind you... or with facebook and twitter too soft and I never realize someone has messaged me. Pros... very easy for someone just learning how to use a phone (i.e a grandparent/child) very durable... Ive dropped my phone soo many times without a scratch on it... people have stepped on it kicked it heck I was even mad with frustration and threw it up against a concrete wall and it still ticks and again no scratches :) Very good for txting the slide out keyboard has big buttons so its easy to txt and almost feels like txting on a regular keyboard. Web is good, doesn't freeze up when watching you-tube and netflix it isn't adobe capable so you cant play games that require flash

I want my iPhone back
1 Star Review   AT&T

I was looking for my replacment for my 2 year old iPhone. I had heard good things about Android phones and liked the slide out keyboard. Unfortunatly the only thing good about the phone is the slide out keyboard. very poor battery life, and very slow just to run basic apps including making a phone call. As soon as I can upgrade I will be going back to an iPhone.

Great but slow
4 Star Review   By Karen14589 on AT&T - Jan 19, 2012

I don't know whether this problem is common to this phone but when I first got it, the phone didnt have lag but after a week it started being slow with the texting app which now lags quite a bit. The keyboard is fantastic and easy to use, which makes it great for texting. I like the fact that it is small enough to fit in your pocket without the screen being too cramped although sometimes I do have some trouble hitting what I want. For an android, the battery life has been great for me. On a usual basis, it will last me about two days of use. The camera is really slow, if takes a few seconds to take the picture after you press the button but since I have a camera this isnt much of a problem for me. Once or twice my screen has stopped working or started pressing random things upon contact, but this can be fixed by locking and unlock the phones screen. I like the fact that this phone has a unique design so I do not have a phone like any other rectangle block phone. What I don't like is that there isn't a setting to make the phone vibrate for texts and other notifications only when the sound is on (the options are always, never, and only when silent.) Because this is a smart phone unlike my old phone, it has taken some getting used to, but I love it despite the serious lagging with the messaging app. If I could find a way to correct this, that would be fantastic.

Very easy to use, could be a little smoother.
4 Star Review   By Redshadow on AT&T - Jan 1, 2012

This is my fourth droid, what makes me love the crossover is it ha the durability I need, as well as the functions I use daily. I got my phone the week it came out, I've dropped it from forty feet several times, as well as short falls regularly. I use the crossover to multitask daily by streaming music, surfing the web, texting, and games occasionally. I have nevver had a problem with battery life, I have streamed music for 10 hours while talking and texting. The only thing that gets me is it can be a little choppy. I honestly can't wait for a 4.5 from Pantech with the same durability.

Lots of Problems
2 Star Review   By 14yearold on AT&T - Dec 16, 2011

The battery drained fast. Also some of my apps would abruptly stop working for no apparent reason. I finally switched to the HTC status when the crossover turned off and then on again every time I closed it. I've had 5 phones since the 5th grade and I'm 9th now and this is the worst experience I've had with a phone yet.

1st touch screen device
4 Star Review   By Shay11233 on AT&T - Dec 14, 2011

This was an upgrade offer and being that I've had other Pantech phones, I decided to stay with what has worked!!! Since this is my 1st touch screen device, I was very excited. However, that quickly passed once I realized that everything I seemed to touch affected my data plan. I also don't like the 5 screens and haven't figured out how to just have one and don't have use for more than one. Now, I'm careful about locking the phone and have upgraded my data so that I don't incur some outrageous charge!

Not happy with the calendar
3 Star Review   By bobbie123 on AT&T - Nov 20, 2011

I am not happy with the calendar function. I have had this phone for a day now and have been trying to operate the calendar as well as having friends try to figure it out also. Everything else is pretty easy to use once I navigate around, but I would much rather go with a different smart phone.

Love, Love, Love
4 Star Review   By kupkake on AT&T - Oct 12, 2011

I absolutely love this phone. . .love the slide out keyboard and the letters are spaced out perfectly. Love the wi-fi. The battery life was just fine for me, lasted me all day away from home without needing to look for a place to charge up the phone. Wish there was a flash on the camera, but other than that, the picture quality is decent. Screen does freeze every now an then, but didn't really seem to bother me much. Very easy to use and figure out. I highly recommend this phone!!!

great phone for social people
4 Star Review   By FallenSRH on AT&T - Sep 8, 2011

this is a good phone for using social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Texting is good with slide-out keyboard. This phone freezes sometimes but is not that big of a problem, just restart it. Great apps and Android Market. I've had it for a few days and already love it!

great phone, bad o/s
4 Star Review   By Tinsera on AT&T - Aug 31, 2011

The actual phone itself is pretty decent with a slide out keyboard and a sleek design. The only hardware complaint I have is the battery case slides off sometimes when texting and the speakers a kinda weak. The biggest reason I'm not really enjoying the phone is that Android opperating system is junky and the apps store is junk. In my opinion, unless you have to have the slide out keyboard id recomend paying alittle more and grabbing the iphone 3Gs I know I should have.

Loving It So Far...
5 Star Review   By LikingCrossover on AT&T - Jul 25, 2011

The Crossover is my first Android and first Smartphone. Maybe I am too new to the technology to have a lot of negative things to say, but I find the style of the Crossover, the keyboard and the screen just wonderful. And those were the most important features for me. I haven't had one touch screen issue and everything seems smooth, seamless and pretty fast to me. Really love how the numbers are in a row at the top of the keyboard instead of in a squarish configuration somewhere in the middle. And the keys themselves are a fantastic size. I simply have no complaints.

Unless you need sturdy, pick something else
3 Star Review   By acceem on AT&T - Jul 23, 2011

Cons: no flash, average pictures, average display quality, can't download your own ringtones, on screen keyboard is AWFUL (it picks up the wrong key over and over), slide out doesn't work well with the cover on, heavy Pros: it is sturdy, easy to use, narrow compared to most other phones. PC World reviewed this phone as one of the worst out there but I tired it out anyway. Had it for a week and returned it for a Motorala Atrix which is MUCH better.

I wasted my money
2 Star Review   AT&T

I originally had the samsung impression which died on me and I had to get a new phone. I was looking for one that had the same physical features--a touch screen and a slide out keyboard. However, I had to order mine online and was not able to test before purchasing. I do like the weight and design of the phone because it isnt light and cheap feeling. And the physical keyboard has a very nice feel to it. However, the volume of the phone is very quiet. I cannot hear anything when I am being called and the vibration setting for messaging is also quiet and not very easy to hear. I dont use the phone for internet and facebook, I only use it for texting and calling. The internet on the phone is good though. But since im only a texter and caller, this phone isnt really up to what i'd like it to be. I wouldnt reccomend this phone if thats all you plan on using it for.

Packs a Punch!
4 Star Review   By trixter123 on AT&T - Jul 10, 2011

Great device! Works very well. Never had a smart phone but compair mine to my wife's phone (Samsung Epic) and it holds it's own. Wife's phone has a bigger better looking screen but I needed the ruggedness of this one. My device seems more stable than hers with almost no glitches. Some down sides: Phone is still so new noone knows anything about it. Some apps wont install because it is "to new". Apps that wont install : Flash player (that's a big one for me) Google earth, OOVOO,and a few other common ones. Hope an update comes soon. All and all I trust this device to be rugged as my job requires it. It preforms almost every task I hoped it would with ease. Buy one now and you will be very happy. P.S. Volume is fine, I dont know what the other people were talking about. Phone is almost to loud so I turned it down.

Very good for a first Android phone
4 Star Review   By SlyOne on AT&T - Jun 25, 2011

I finally decided to make the switch to an Android phone, but I didn't want a big, bulky phone. The CrossOver was perfect for this. I like the smaller size, it's barely larger than the older flip phone that I had. But having the slide out keyboard means that even with the smaller size I still have no problem composing messages. It has great features, is easy to use, and generally works well. The biggest problems I've run into are the battery life and its tendency to freeze up. It has a slower processor so it gets easily overwhelmed if you try to do too much at once. And in the few days I've had it I've not been able to make it through a full day of use without having to charge it at some point during the day. Overall I definitely like the phone, and would strongly recommend it to someone making their transition to the Android market.
