6.75 months of use and still amazed.
5 Star Review   By xomywishxo on AT&T - Oct 31, 2012

This is a follow up review of the Lumia 900. Here is a breakdown of my day today, which is typical of my days. I use the phone as my alarm and its set for 8:30 AM. I get up, do the daily routine shower, eat, etc and head off to work. As soon as I get to work I pull out my Grado SR 80 headphones, plug them into my Lumia 900, turn the volume up to about 16 or 17 (the head phones are over the ear and not very efficient). The headphones play for roughly 7 of the 8 hours I am at work. I use the phone to talk and take pictures and im the pictures to my work email along with the occasional internet surf. I worked a little longer tonight and got home around 8:15ish PM. My battery life is currently at 73%. In the 6 months I have owned this phone, it has never run out of battery not only on a typical day, but a very heavy usage day. the closest I got to no charge was at 1:00 am after a 5 hour conversation after a full day of work. The key is to turn off some of the live tile notifications that you really never use. Even then, I get all the standard email, social, im updates but if I need to see the weather, I go into the app instead of just using the live tile. The people who run out of battery fast are the people with 30 live tiles updating constantly, most of which they are never using. The phone is amazing, but there is not a phone battery in the world that will put up with that kind of usage for 15 hours straight. This is the first phone from the day of flip phones, to my old iphone and the short stint with an android in between where I dont worry about the battery. My intent with this phone was to use my Zune HD for music all day at work and save the battery in the phone, but there is zero need. I love this phone and if the Lumia 920 replacing it for windows 8 works as good, I will buy the phone outright.

Best Phone I Ever Purchased
5 Star Review   By arks on AT&T - Jul 8, 2012

I am a Windows Phone fanatic. I have spent significant time with just every mobile operating system and Windows Phone is simply the best, coupled with Nokia's beautiful uni-body design, it really is beautifully different. The ClearBlack display works great in direct sunlight and bright days, while the blazing fast LTE makes for one of the best web browsing and streaming media experience available on a smartphone. Nokia is consistently bring new, exclusive apps to Lumia users like Words with Friends and Draw Something that are coming soon. Facebook and Twitter integration is deeper and more robust than on any platform and I love having a Zune Pass, which gives me access to over 16 million tracks in the Zune catalog (soon to be Xbox Music with over 30 million tracks). The keyboard is also the best, even better than the iPhone because of it's, ever so slightly varied key sounds and amazing auto-correct and word suggestions. While the camera imaging quality is lower than expected, it is still a great camera with lots of features, including true widescreen shots and pretty good front-facing camera. Battery life is good but not excellent (it gets me through most days on a single charge). The speaker was also an unexpected oversight, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. And finally, it does have a few bugs, all of which can and will be address in future software/firmware updates. They're annoying but don't make the phone unusable, in my experience. Overall, this phone is excellent, especially if you like to keep up to date with your friends and social networks. I've turned Windows Phone onto many friends and family and, aside from a small few, they absolutely love it.

AMAZING PHONE!
5 Star Review   By Sandyd on AT&T - Jun 28, 2012

The phone software windows 7.5 mango is just surreal and the phone itself made by Nokia is just great, it is extremely durable, strong, and amazing quality. I switch from my iphone, and this is a great move because the iphone heats up too much, poor battery, over-priced plans, and cheap quality when compared to the Nokia Lumia 900. I love this phone and would recommend it to anybody looking out there for a stable, fast, consistence, and high-performance phone.

As a 60+ lady who hadn't texted much, this phone opened up a whole new world to me. Ease of use, ability to load all apps I use regularily on front means I have now become addicted to this phone. Quick response, great camera and can share with others easily. Very glad I bought it.

An Amazing phone thats easier to use then an iPhon
5 Star Review   By TimD63 on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

I believe this is one of the most underrated phones on the market. Its ease of use and ability to provide immediate information from emails or social media is awesome. The screen is large, clear and easy to read. I am more in tune with my friends and family that I was with my old blackberry or iphone 4s. Microsoft has really created a simple and informational interface that changes the way a phone is used. Congratulations to ATT, NOKIA and Microsoft for bringing this phone to market. I love the Microsoft OS and the Nokia phone is simple and reliable. I also just discovered it actually even has an FM radio built in Now how cool is that.

beautiful
5 Star Review   By BigDaddio on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

This is my second Lumia purchase, I bought the cyan one for my wife and the black one for myself. The Lumia is of the highest quality and the ease of use makes it second to none. I got my first Lumia on preorder and have not had one problem with it which is why I decided to purchase another for my wife. The user interface is very intuitive and smooth. Surfing the internet is smooth. The apps load fast and run smooth as well. The free app from Nokia called Nokia drive is pretty slick too. All in all i am very happy with the phones so far.

Beautiful, functional, sturdy.
5 Star Review   By LimberLibrarian on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

I'm very happy with this phone. I had the Samsung Focus before this one. It is significantly heavier than the Focus and this took some getting used to. Same with the size. But once you adapt to the heft and screen size, all other phones seem puny. I wouldn't go back. Another thing to note - the ear speaker takes some getting used to. You end up holding the phone at a slightly "unexpected" angle to get the best sound/volume. This isn't a problem, just something to adapt to. This phone is also seriously durable. My first one had a horrible mishap when I inadvertently left it on the back bumper. I found it 2 hours later, face down in the street. The case was in great shape, the glass was totally spiderwebbed/cracked, but the phone continued to work! I kept hearing text messages come in, reminders, etc. (Thanks to AmEx, I got a new one in short order.) Furthermore, my son accidentally dropped his from the second story, onto the wood floor below, and it was totally fine. I don't recommend you do either of these things, however! Very happy with the phone. It's sturdy, stylish and totally functional. Great battery life, love the Internet Sharing feature, takes good photos and I like the Windows OS.

fast, intuitive phone.
5 Star Review   By kruzer on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

The lumias display is like no other, high contrast with deep vivid colors. The phone flows from app to OS seamlessly, much less navigating than an Android or Apple system. Neo.g able to use the camera In standby mode is also very handy. The phone also feels great in your hand. The gorilla glass screen is also very important. The windows OS has also made great strides and has great appeal. I believe the commercials are right, soon all other phones will have to compete with the windows phone.

What an exquisite phone
4 Star Review   By wetmountain on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

Beautifully designed and beautifully executed. A quantum leap beyond my old Android phone. Although the app family is smaller than for IOS and Android, it's coming along rapidly as people begin to understand just how good this phone is. Unfortunately, though, bluetooth has failed on two phones. I hope the third time's a charm.

Great Design, Reliable Phone by a new OS
5 Star Review   By Teeyo on AT&T - Jun 11, 2012

If you are like me and go beyond the norm (I see iPhones everywhere) this phone is for you. Not only is the design an eye catcher, the phone itself is also a sell. It's specs may not overwhelm you, but the fact that Windows Phone 7's OS doesn't take up too many resources makes up for that fact. The camera is very good (not spectacular) but takes very nice pictures. The OS is VERY Fast, as I'd rate it the quickest to make calls out of all the Smartphone OS's. Call quality is above the norm as well. iPhone's are terrific devices and it's definitely a tug of war between these two phones for me. Are you looking to just have a smartphone do great things, or are you looking to download thousands of apps? If you prefer the first option go with Lumia 900, you will not be displeased.

4 Star Review   By tanandluc on AT&T - Jun 6, 2012

The Nokia Lumia is awesome! the picture quality is great!, it navigates quickly, faster than my computer and it offers a variety of features. At first it is a bit difficult to navigate until you get the hang of things, such as finding your contacts to make a call. Really cool phone! love it!

Awesome smartphone, better than expectation
5 Star Review   By BarbieDoll123 on AT&T - Jun 4, 2012

I've been using this phone more than a month, having really good experience with it. I never used WP system phone before but the WP is so easy to begin with and easy to customize with your own taste. Larger screen than iphone and also very good resolution. The only two things i expect it to be better are: 1. Battery last 1.5 days usually, still need to improve. 2. the Zeiss camera, when zoom in, the picture quality lower a lot. Other than that, overall a very good phone.

Beautiful and easy to use
5 Star Review   By astnlgsn on AT&T - Jun 4, 2012

The Windows Phone operating system is a pleasant operating system to use and Nokia makes slick hardware! Prior to holding a Lumia 900, I was concerned that the polycarbonate body might look and feel cheap. As it turns out, I love the Lumia 900's body! The polycarbonate body and gorilla glass look and feel great and they're extremely durable. I've dropped my phone on cement a handful of times and it's still in great shape.

Great phone, exceptional value
4 Star Review   By alanSJ1 on AT&T - Jun 1, 2012

This Nokia Lumia 900 is a great phone and exceptional value. The Windows 7.5 Mango operating system is easy to use and very intuitive. The live tiles features are awesome. I'm a former iPhone user and do not have any regrets switching over to this phone. Simply put, I love everything about this phone. Beautiful design. Beautiful display. It may not have the highest resolution, but the screen still looks great. You won't notice any difference anyway for such small devices. Love the deep black Amoled screen. Makes the colors just pop out more. It's not a dual core, but at 1.4 Ghz single core LTE speed it is super fast. The battery is only so so. I think that's probably due to the LTE sucking up so much juice and all the apps running in the background. However, if you charge it every night before going to bed you should be ok. I expected more for the camera because Nokia hyped up the Carl Zeiss lens so much. It is good and could be better. Windows still has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to apps. They have all the major ones and are adding new ones at a fast rate. 90,000 apps in a little over a year is not too shabby. Overall, this is a great phone. You cannot find a better one out there at this price. Give Windows platform a try. I'm confident you'll be pleasantly surprised. And with Windows 8 looming on the horizon, things can only get better.

Even a Caveman can use it!
4 Star Review   By americanraj on AT&T - Jun 1, 2012

I bought the first day it came out in the US. Being a stock holder I wanted to try the product. Even though the video camera is grayed out and I've not been able to use it it the other features have been awesome, starting with: FM Radio Great sound, no vibration. Panoramic photography is very cool. Tiles was the best idea....looking forward to updates. Ability to change color of tiles...pantone possibilities! Typing help with spaces automatically inserted..... Bing is very cool tell me is excellent. Navigation and local scout awesome. Wish true hotmail interface was used or live....

I wish we can rest the phone without having to hard rest to default setting. The battery is not accessible, which should make the phone never freeze. With windows is expect the unexpected.

Blending simplicity & beauty without the snobbery
5 Star Review   By marc7707 on AT&T - May 31, 2012

The Lumia 900 is truly a blend of functional modern art with a simple yet powerful software. The phone fits in your hand with the right amount of weight, has the best call quality on the headset over any other mobile device i've ever used. It's a seamless casing that's good to grip, easy access to the few volume, camera, and lock controls and the screen is the envy of any of my apple and droid fanatics that have viewed it. The software is a brilliant refresh into making things simple. It finally offers an alternative if you're not a cult member of Apple's hype machine, and the nerdy endless black bricks of Android phones which are outdated 2 months after you buy them. While other companies focus on bells and whistles, Microsoft knocked out major staples in the software which are not added by extra apps: The outlook exchange service to my work is brilliant as they follow my folders and rules, I can view all my social network updates in one stream and engage people or those networks in seconds, I can have one seamless stream of SMS, Facebook, livemessenger text messages as they thread them into a cohesive conversation, I can download music and podcasts, get artist bios, seamlessly without syncing to a computer. When you go to grab an application like Nokia Drive, you are guided by the best Navigation software offered on any mobile devices with 3D maps and clear spoken direction. The phone missing a turn and saying "make a legal u-turn" is a thing of the past. This is the best product i've purchased in the past few years. Hands Down.

As I expected
5 Star Review   By Charles19920528 on AT&T - May 31, 2012

I was a windows phone user before I purchased Lumia 900, So I didn't meet any problems when I learn how to use this. The screen is beyond my expectation. It's way better than it of Samsung. The battery life is adequate. If play games for 3 hours, it can last 8 hours. One problem is that when the phone becomes warm after sometime, the back button and the search may be activated even when I don't touch it. If you'd like to download hundreds of apps, then iphone is your best choice. But if you just need a simple and easy use smartphone, then buy the Lumia~ It already has those most often use apps. But still the quality of apps need to be improved. But above all it's a pretty nice phone. If you'd like to download hundreds of apps, then iphone is your best choice. But if you just need a simple and easy use smartphone, then buy the Lumia~ It already has those most often use apps. But still the quality of apps need to be improved.

5 Star Review   By Ordep1963 on AT&T - May 31, 2012

Nokia 900 is a great phone. It feels very well made. Beterr then the Samsung Focus I had. The display is terrific. Dont know why some critics say it could be better. Its sharp and bright and I can see it in the sun light. The radio works pretty good. I also like the Nokia apps just for this phone. I would recemmend this phone very much.

5 Star Review   By MJW1 on AT&T - May 31, 2012

The Nokia Lumia 900 is all that they say it is and more. The Windows operating system is very easy to use and find what you are looking for. I purchased the cyan and it is a unique phone and color, stands out from the crowd. I am able to access all my email accounts both personal and work. Do paperwork on the go then email it to my desk, ready and waiting to be polished and submitted. Thank you Nokia, ATT and Windows.

Best phone I have ever had!
5 Star Review   By BusyMomOfOne23 on AT&T - May 28, 2012

Easy to use, I love the Cyan color. It is like having an entertainment system with me. There is so much to do while sitting and waiting, which I do a lot. Browsing the internet is easy. And there are tons of free apps available, including games. Recently a group of friends and I were posing for pictures. The person that took the pictures used everyone's camera. Mine was last and she said "Wow, I have never seen this good of quality camera on any phone before"! The only thing I don't like is the battery life. I have to charge it every day because I use it all day.

Best Overall Smartphone Overall
5 Star Review   By SES12 on AT&T - May 26, 2012

I purchased this phone to solve headaches running a small business. My wife and I were using 2 appointment books and trying to keep them in sync was a nightmare. My solution was a clould based MS Exchange account, Outlook on desktops & laptop for real time sync of email, calender, etc. Problem was with my 1.5 year smartphone. Just too much maintenance to make it all work. The Nokia 900 was purchased for simplicity of user interface, easy to manage apps and right size. The live tiles are simple to use and are fast and flexible. Tight integration with MS Office and exchange is outstanding. The phone is attactive but with solid functionality. It works great for my needs. The speaker has much better sound quality than my previous phone. Battery has held up well with a lot of usage. The wifi mode is a great feature to cut down on data usuage. I really like the ability to delete the bloatware on this phone. Now for the only complaint. The camera, while having great specs, doesn't work as well mtaking pixs. Push the shutter and may or may not click immediately. I will reserve final comment until I have more time to use it. This is a strong, simple, functional phone. Has all the apps I will ever need!

Awesome phone... and OS!
5 Star Review   By skier150 on AT&T - May 25, 2012

I had an X6 for two years and was thinking about switching over the Android. I heard that Nokia was going with WP and thought it might be interesting. It just so happened that my contract was up at the same time this phone was being released. Love the style of the phone and how it feels, not to mention the cyan color. Speed and response are awesome and can often outpace my notebook. Call quality is great and data seems to work pretty speedily. Really enjoying the WP OS, and I will probably stick with it for years. Live tiles are very cool and super helpful. The whole experience is very friendly and easy to get around. Screen is the best I have seen around, and works really well in daylight. I am running through a Micro Cell, so my battery at home goes quickly. If I turn the data off and just use WiFi, I get around 36 hours on a charge.

My (almost) perfect phone
5 Star Review   By tds101 on AT&T - May 25, 2012

I got this phone, which I had been wait for since I first heard of it, a few days after it came out. I think it was worth the wait. There are one or two things I hope get addressed in a firmware update though, and I'd love the Lumia 900 V2 to have a larger memory capacity - 64GB - like the iPhone. Ok, first, I love the design, the screen is excellent, performance is just wonderful. I'm in and out of apps in seconds. The iPhone 4 and Androids phones I'd owned were never that quick. The Zune music app works good, but it SO needs an equalizer. Videos, either on YouTube or the Lumia itself, look amazingly good. The volume from the speaker could be louder. Even if you decide to use headphones the volume is on the low side. The iPhone and Motorola Atrix were better in the volume dept,...but this phone is equal to the iPhone in overall entertainment value. Apps are good, but somewhat lacking in quality & quantity ATM. But, in truth, the developers and Microsoft are working hard and bringing out new and excellent games & apps at a decent pace. I can't really say this is a negative, as it's slowly becoming a nonissue. Battery life is good, but I truly wish it was a few mm thicker to accommodate a larger battery. Look at he Motorola RAZR MAXX,...that has a huge battery and can run for days at a time. I think if they can do it Nokia could easily do it as well. The camera is pretty good on the phone, but there are a few problems. The phone needs to be kept quite still, or the picture will be so blurry you need to delete the photos taken. There's occasionally fuzz, or noise, in the pictures as well. And even a slight variance in lighting conditions can ruin a picture. I THINK these issues are easily corrected with an update,...I hope so. A Carl Ziess lens is quite good. Call quality is quite good, and this is almost a first for me. Most phones I've owned (even my beloved iPhone 4) stunk at making a call. The only time I can't hear a call or have a dropped call is when I call my wife. HER iPhone 4 is the culprit. She's waiting to get her (hopefully) Magenta Lumia 900 soon. I can't say I blame her,... Now, I do have a complaint or 2. I wish the browser allowed colum adjustment when viewing a web page. Having to move a paragraph side-to-side to read is hugely annoying and unnecessary. Android allows the pages & paragraphs to be adjusted to fit the screen, WP7.5 and up should as well. Copy and paste also needs a bit of work. It's a bit difficult to select text when trying to copy, as the cursor on either side of the area refuse to move in a smooth manor. It's another easily fixed issue via an update to the firmware. Ok, I'm finished here. But for an overall experience with no freezes or reboots, no stuttering or CraZy issues, this is an excellent phone to get. I highly recommend the Nokia Lumia 900 for an easy to use and smooth user experience. It's great for the novice & the expert. ENJOY!

Amazing phone but comes with faults
4 Star Review   By Johnny1010 on AT&T - May 24, 2012

The nokia lumia 900 is an amazing phone, i thought it was a definitie plus switching from the iphone. The phone has a super bright screen and it's amoled clear black matte screen is subperb! The colors pop at you and is definitely the best screen i've seen on any phone and i've owned the iphone 4s with the retina display, colors and brightness are no match. Even with the pixels at a measly 800x400 it is only noticeble on videos. The phones camera starts up very quickly so you won't miss any special moments and the 720p videos are great. Typing is a breeze especially better for me form the iphone because of the bigger screen and my big hands. The LTE and 4g are blazing fast and i don't see any slow downs with the 1.4 Ghz processor, really why does a phone need quad core? It doesn't... There are its cons as well. One of the few cons are the bugs in WP7 when sometimes apps will lag or slowdown or your app will crash but just usual things that happen on all OS's. The marketplace lacks games but the regular apps that are relevant are all there, atleast for me like banking, note taking, finance, music, espn, and movies. One last flaw, atleast on my phone, is that it keeps going back by itself. I believe it's a hardware problem rather than software but the phone's back button keeps lighting up by itself then sends me back for no reason or the bing search button. Its like the buttons press themselves and it comes randomly but it is a true nuisance. I will be taking it back to ATT to see if it is witht he phone itself. Overrall great phone, it's a breath of fresh air from all the other indifferent phones and iphones, and it's a worthy switch with anybody who is tired of iOS and doesn't like android, or just has big hands and needs easier browsing and typing.

Convient and easy to learn and use
4 Star Review   By PastorPaul on AT&T - May 24, 2012

My one and only complaint is that people have trouble hearing me when on the phone. Otherwise, the available apps are fine with me, I like the Wi-Fi and LTE data/internet availability including email synchronization with my tablet and desktop. Also, I like the Navigation/GPS feature. ATT now supplies 4G service where we live. Wife & I are 80+ and doing well with the Nokia Lumina 900. I like the Android world but am totally satisfied with the Windows operating system

Just Amazing....
5 Star Review   By Rajgopal on AT&T - May 24, 2012

having used Android and iPhone for the past 3 years, Windows Phone 7 was a refreshing change. While it might lack the feature list when compared to iPhone, it certainly has all the essential features to be the best smart phone. Addition of LTE is a bonus, especially in Houston where the LTE is speed almost same as my broadband connection.

SATISFACTION IS THE KEY
1 Star Review   By EDRALIN on AT&T - May 24, 2012

I have been using Iphone since 2007 and I'm satisfied with the device. IN fact, I'm waiting for the Iphone 5 to come out because my contract is already passed and about time to upgrade. Then all of a sudden this Lumia 900 LTE come out of the blue. I checked it with myself and so amazed to think this is real suit for me. With the windows phone and the fast browsing, I can't believe how faster it is. I didn't have a second thought of getting this new device. I grabbed it and enjoying all the features. Thank you!!!

Fast phone that will not disappoint you.
5 Star Review   AT&T

This phone is great! Is the response from Microsoft and Nokia to Google (Android) and Apple (iPhone). This is the most easy to use smartphone, because of its great Operating System (OS)! Its fast, its features rich and its OS won't hang. The camera is great. Eight (8) megapixels, auto focus and 720p HD Video recording. Also has a front facing camera for Tango (app) video calls. I recommend the Nokia Lumia 900 phone to anyone tire of the difficulty of the interface of Android and the boring interface of the iPhone.

Lumia 900 does not disappoint
5 Star Review   By willyred on AT&T - May 24, 2012

My experience with the Lumia 900 has been fantastic. Battery life easily gets me more than a day with what I would call normal usage. I accidently dropped phone from 5 feet onto concrete before I got my case and only had scuff on corners, don't try this at home. The OS is fantastic and to me very responsive with no lag. Not a huge game person, but for my needs perfect. Texting is great and I love the self correction, its like it can read my mind, it knows exactly what I really meant to say. Tiles are clearly innovative and I love how you can easily pin and unpin to "home" screen and is easy to get to "secondary" menu. Nokia app collection is special and Nokia Drive is fantastic, Basically GPS for free, my experience is it uses very little data. Just download your map ahead of time and you are set. Just use your Wi-Fi to download your maps first. I already use Zune for music and Zune is really about listening and accessing music unlike some other makers which will remain nameless. Highly recommend the Lumia 900.

Incredibly Amazing!
5 Star Review   By Danguiano on AT&T - May 24, 2012

What can I say? I really, truly love this phone. Best piece of hardware I've ever owned. And of course Windows Phone 7.5 is incredible! Of course it's going to take some time to catch up with iOS and Android marketshare wise, but in my opinion it's honestly the best OS, and I have used all 3. The ONLY thing that slightly bugs me about the actual phone itself is the camera problem. It looks like it's most likely a software issue, and hopefully Nokia/Microsoft gets on this. But overall, best phone out there for the money! Better than some other more expensive phones as well. *cough, iphone, cough, galaxy s ii* OH YES! How could I forget? BATTERY LIFE IS FRIKIN AMAZING!!!

Awesome phone
5 Star Review   By Sonclad on AT&T - May 24, 2012

The much anticipated Nokia Lumia 900 exceeded my expectations. The Clear Black display provides an awesome contrast on the large screen. Windows 7 makes navigation a breeze and the 4G makes the phone very responsive. We purchased 4 - one for each member of the family. The kids love the large screen for texting and video calls and the phones are a real hit with their friends. Downsides: I wish there was a way to specify that Wi-FI only should be utilized for app upgrades. The battery life could be longer between charges, although I tend to plug it in each night anyway. We have noticed some echo while speaking if the volume is up too high, but overall the phone is a winner and I would recommend it.

5 Star Review   By AsH83 on AT&T - May 24, 2012

WP 7.5 is a great OS, the live tiles are amazing and the integration with all other MS products like exchange server, outlook , Share point and Office360 makes this OS the ideal for any business oriented person. not anyone who is complaining why there is no angry birds space. about the phone, you will not believe this review until you hold the phone. the build quality is amazing and it feel so good in the hand. Cellular reception is the best out there. I work in a bad ATT coverage area and i used to have tons of issues before. but with this phone it is all gone. The only issue that i did not like about this device is the Camera.. it is great but it is not as good as iphone 4s. and i think they can improve it more.

Hot girls will date you if you have a Lumia
5 Star Review   By frizzyfryfro on AT&T - May 24, 2012

Some guys get expensive cars, others get snazzy watches and wardrobes. You don't need any of that to pick up a fine lady. A Lumia tells the ladies: "Hey, iPhones are for 16 year olds and Moms- and I am neither. I am sophisticated and appreciate a good operating system. I won't settle for bad battery life or small screens. I will not re-accept apple's terms of service every time I want to play angry birds. As a matter of fact- I will make sure that the hours I waste on my phone earn me achievements for my xbox live account. And Siri? Please. I am intelligent enough to look outside and see the weather. I already have an old woman who tells me what to do and I don't think my Mother would appreciate being replaced by a robot voice." So if you are ready to attract the finer ladies and show the world you are no longer in high school- Get a Lumia.

5 Star Review   By Shizzle on AT&T - May 11, 2012

iPhone and Android are phones you have to manage. You must go in an app, out an app, pull down the notification center. Windows Phone is a beautiful experience that is your friend! You don't have to go in and app, out an app, in an app, out an app. It's integration into everything makes doing things incredibly easy rather than being silo'ed and doing this silo'ed. The phones fast and works great in the daylight. Even though it's cheaply priced, I would have paid $200 for the phone. Note: I've had android and iphone both before. I'm sticking with windows phone as of now.

good(not great) phone
3 Star Review   By TexasAggie on AT&T - May 5, 2012

DISPLAY: Coming from an iPhone 4 the first thing I loved was the screen size. I've had this phone for almost a month now and every time I try to use my friends' iPhones the screen seems so tiny. However text isn't as sharp as my old iPhone's Retina display, which is slightly disappointing but not a huge deal. INTERNET: LTE is pretty nice, if I have full bars the internet speed is up to four times faster than my cable! However the browser (Internet Explorer) is no faster than my old iPhone's browser when connected WiFi which is also kind of disappointing. I've tried other browsers from the Marketplace (App Store) and none seem to be any faster. CAMERA: Camera is pretty good, I don't really use my phone for artistic photographs though, so it suits my need just fine. The camera button on the side of the phone is definitely nice to have. SOFTWARE: Microsoft did a great job at making sure the things you use most are at most one click away. The search button alone can scan bar codes, translate text, find local things, and other stuff. That is what I like most about the software is just that it is easy to use and it is most of the time straight to the point. One of the main reasons I dropped the iPhone was lack of customization. I was getting tired of staring the same ol 4x4 homescreen. The live tiles on this phone are pretty cool, but unfortunately Windows Phone offers no customization than the iPhone did. The Marketplace is definitely lacking in apps compared to the App store, but it has all the essentials. Hopefully more options are to come. Multitasking is a pain on Windows Phone. You can only multitask 5 things at a time, and you cannot choose which things these are, it just takes the last 5 apps you were in (including messaging, email, etc.). It is very confusing on how to close out of one specific task and most of time you end closing out of the thing you didn't want to close out of. Lately the phone has been struggling open the messaging and email apps (sometimes making me wait 10 sec+) and the sometimes struggles to send messages (another 5 sec sometimes). Even when my messaging app is "multitasking" switching to it can take up to 10 sec. It it fairly frustrating. But this only happens about 1 out every 10 times i open the app/ send a message. BATTERY: Battery is awesome, lasts me all day with no problems. It even has a "battery saver mode" that you set to automatically turn on to give you phone almost double the life.

wow
5 Star Review   By boah78 on AT&T - May 5, 2012

While I'm happy with this phone in every way, I'm just going to focus on one aspect here since I don't think it's gotten enough attention. I've had many phones who's call quality was described as "ok" or "average" and not understood what people were talking about...They sounded fine to me... Now I know how much better it can be. This is by far the best sounding phone as far as call quality that I have ever used. I'll be the first to admit that call quality was always way down my list of priorities. As long as it was usable, it was, well...useable. Now I know that every other word of a conversation doesn't have to be "what?" or "huh?"

real world review
4 Star Review   By rickydelivers on AT&T - May 1, 2012

Ok this is my review. Please keep in mind thie L900 is my work phone and I use am iPhone4 for personal use. This phone feels perfect in my (medium) size hands. I have had the phone for almost 2 weeks and wanted to put it through my "real world" scenerios so here it goes. The battery life is better than my Iphone4, we dont have LTE here in the Seattle area so I cant comment if users in LTE markets are doing worse. One day last week I used it for a couple calls, checked about 20 emails and breifly went online and played a couple games mostly on WIFI. From the time it was charged up at 7am in the morning, it lasted me till about 2PM THE NEXT DAY. Now just recently, I used the Nokia Drive over 4G for over 2 hours, made 4 long phone calls, downloaded a handfull of apps, went on the internet for a couple of hours, and from a full charge at 6:30 am that morning it started to give me the low battery indicator around 5 in the afternoon. That being said I think over 11hours of "hard" usage is pretty darn good. The UI is very nice and smooth to use. The camera once you get the settings right is pretty good(not as good as the iPhone) I would recommend the app Creative Studio. Nokia Drive is a real good GPS, the People Hub is very handy, too. Call quality is awesome and there has been no hickups on the browser or the overall UI. Now I just wish the phone (or WP7) offered, a quicker way to get to the top of a (web) page, like iOSs double tap the top of the screen option. I wished IE9 offered a "forward" button. And it appears this phone takes a little longer to charge the battery, usually over 2 hours(my iphone fully charges in 40 minutes). Also the volume level through headphones is pretty week. Play around with the phone and its options and you will see you arent missing out on too much(like the Sky Drive, Email intergration, and music features) All in all I love my first Windows Phone and hopefully this unit will be upgradeable to Apollo or at least upgradeable to more future updates!

One month and still amazed
5 Star Review   By LumiaInNashville on AT&T - Apr 28, 2012

There is something about the quality and the feel of the Lumia 900 that is hard to describe in words. The weight and balance are terrific. The phone is responsive, with the screen being outstanding. The camera is pretty good, but when I bring up images taken with my DSLR, they are incredibly clear - almost popping out of the phone itself. As for app selection, I'm a power business user. The Windows Marketplace has everything I need, and with the PeopleHub integration to Twitter, Facebook, etc., I don't have to rely on apps to stay in touch with my social network. The out-of-the-box Office apps allow me to address pressing business documents without opening my laptop. Keep in mind, you won't want to author a document. But being able to read and review spreadsheets, presentations, and documents in a native application on the phone is awesome. One part of the ecosystem I love is the ZunePass. It integrates beautifully with the phone. Being able to download and synch with up to four devices is a huge plus, as I often listen to content at work all day. This is a feature that you *must* take a look into when you buy any Windows Phone. I am very impressed with this phone. So much so I bought one for my wife.

Excellent Smart Phone.
5 Star Review   By Lumia on AT&T - Apr 28, 2012

This phone is very very nice. The best design. Very good email/communication device. Email in here is probably one of the best on all platforms. well integrated. Battery lasts about 9-11 hours, usually on full brightness (no gaming on the phone). I like the phone, and all who see it and play with it like it a lot, even I phone users. ( I have iPhone 4S). Video camera is excellent. voice calling, text is excellent. Nokia navigation is the best among all devices (given free for owners). Tiles design is nice ability to change theme colors is outstandingly fun. Picture hub is great. many other fun features. there are cons, like any other phone but you will like this one.

Nokia Lumia 900 makes Windows Phone shine
5 Star Review   By jhbingham on AT&T - Apr 25, 2012

I've had my Cyan Lumia 900 for just over a week. It is truly a great phone. I've was first hesitant about changing from iPhone because I might feel as though I was "downgrading." Nothing could be further from the truth. The Lumia 900 is a wonderful phone that looks amazing & works great. It's so fast in doing most every task. Windows Phone has amazing integration with social media. I love the People Hub & how notifications show up on the live tiles. The battery life is also surprisingly good. Add to that the low price & you truly have a winner. I've always been an Apple person. I love their products & I never had any issues with my iPhone. But I was really looking for something different in my phone. The idea of carrying around a blue Nokia was really appealing to me. People constantly ask about the phone because it stands out. I'm glad I made the switch.

easily the best smartphone!
4 Star Review   By predator0311 on AT&T - Apr 15, 2012

First off I'd like to say, this is my first smartphone. I had a HTC freestyle before this one. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this thing. Its awesome, the screen is great and the windows 7 os is as smooth as butter. Don't get caught up in the Tech specs of other phones, mainly android. I used the galaxy note and it doesn't run as smooth as this.the galaxy note is still a great phone, but i prefer windows vs. Android. So.... Great phone and I definitely recommend. The only con is the number of apps, but that's improving every day.

Bold design with the easiest to use OS
5 Star Review   By Nightwing131 on AT&T - Apr 14, 2012

The Nokia Lumia 900 is a sleek looking, solid feeling smartphone. Operates super smooth with a 1.4 single core processor. It is actually smoother scrolling and zooming in and out than my son's dual core Android phone. The camera is superb at taking photos and I love how easy it is to upload the photo to either skydrive or Facebook. The video is the best I have seen for a phone with very accurate focus and no choppiness to the video. Nokia had a connectivity bug that effected some users (I was a lucky one I guess) but has offered $100 credit to all who purchased phone before April 21. I just uploaded the new firmware which came out in just 5 days to fix the problem. I really think that this is the way to handle these types of bugs rather than deny them and then just tell customers to hold the phone correctly. Bottom line is this is a great phone.

Solid piece of equipment
5 Star Review   By SappyMaragold on AT&T - Apr 13, 2012

This phone is about as solid as phones can come. It's polycarbonate body is fantastic, it's not to heavy or cheap feeling. It feels nice in the hand, and since the Cyan color goes all the way through you wont really have to worry about the implications of a minor scratch. The WP7 OS is just magical, so that doesn't even count, but regardless Nokia nailed it with this phone. Even their WP7 apps are fantastic, Nokia Drive is worth the cost of the phone right there. Needless to say I'd recommend this phone to anyone.

best smartphone on the market today
5 Star Review   By dmannj on AT&T - Apr 13, 2012

this is an awesome looking device. i can't stop looking at it -- it's a beauty. well built, solid performance, more than enough apps. bye bye iphone -- i can't believe they still sell this even after being found guilty of having an unfixable hardware problem and have to pay each customer a $15 settlement fee. anyway, lumia 900 -- great phone, nokia came up with a winner here.

The most beautiful phone I've ever purchased. Incredible design and hands down the best reception on a smartphone. The screen can be seen in direct light. The phone has a solid feel to it and doesn't feel fragile.

Best phone I've owned
5 Star Review   By walktovanish on AT&T - Apr 11, 2012

I've gone through multiple iPhones and Android phones on more than 5 carriers. Nothing compares with the satisfaction I get out of the Lumia 900. Super smooth, easy to use, and the battery outlives every iPhone I've owned. Definitely worth the hype, and more than worth the price. Only downside at all is that it is a little heavier than most phones its size, but I'll take a heavier phone this awesome over a light, junky phone any day.

Great Windows Phone.
5 Star Review   By mcmart3 on AT&T - Apr 10, 2012

Had 2 Android phones before. First time I bought a Nokia with Windows Phone. Very user friendly. I like the big blocks at the screen. Not so many apps as iphone or Android so far. (But improving fast) The things I mostly using is there. I have not much to complain about. Windows phone is here to stay for sure.

A Sexy polycarbonate Windows Phone Beast
5 Star Review   By Rtronic on AT&T - Apr 9, 2012

I've owned a WP7 since the OS came out in 2010, I've owned the orignal Samsung Focus, The Samsung Focus S and now the Nokia Lumia 900. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best phone I've ever owned. I've always thought that all WP7 ever needed to take off was a sexy device...And boy did Nokia deliver, I bought the Cyan colored 900 & let me tell you this phone stops people in their tracks...literally... This past weekend I was sightseeing in a local town, and no less then 10 people stopped me asked and asked which phone I was using. The Good Crazy high quality polycarbonate body, for being made of plastic... The Lumia feels rock solid. AMAZING screen...Seriously, Pictures dont do the AMOLED CBD screen no justice. Best black levels, period. Great antenna performance, This should be a given on every phone but alas.. its not Great Battery Life on HSPA+...My area doesn't have LTE yet so I can't test it out under that yet Middle of the Road The Physical buttons for Camera, Power and Volume are a little shallow for my taste and a little slippery App Marketplace Not someting I can really coment on.. I don't use a whole lot of apps.. WP7 has most of things I use everyday built in soo... Nokia has created a super nice device that allows WP7 to shine. Once they get the Camera handled the phone will be epic. Untill then its only "Good".. Which in my book means its worth it for you to at least try it and see if you like it.

Fluid and fast
5 Star Review   By fogel on AT&T - Apr 9, 2012

The build quality is second to none. The cyan blue is very inviting to touch and use. Coming from an Android phone this operating system is fast, fluid, and easier to use. No force closes! Scrolling is an easy flick. Camera is nice and easy to use once you realize it is a two stage partial push for focus and all the way down to snap. Marketplace for apps is growing and I found most of all the ones I like. Come on Zynga get your games here stat :)

outstanding smartphone for home or office
5 Star Review   By straightbusiness on AT&T - Apr 8, 2012

I got the cyan lumia 900 for my girlfriend. It is outstanding, from the design, to the durability to the screen and the O/S. It just works, has a wide selection of apps, some great games and fast access to the internet. The battery life lasts for 2 days with moderate use. She really love windows phone 7 with the way it integrates all of her social networks with one click access. Not to mention the live tiles which gives quick glance able information from pinned apps. The only issue is the camera wasn't quite as good as we thought it would be given the optics and aperture. But that is a minor complaint with all that is good. Just give it a try it is great. Plus quite frankly my girlfriend is never one to blend into the crowd, much like her, this phone is beautifully different.

Best Windows Phone out there hands down!
5 Star Review   By pjrapala on AT&T - Apr 8, 2012

Say no more. This is by far the best Windows Phone out there. It might not have the latest specs, but for a Windows Phone, that is not really required at this point anyway. I would recomment this phone to anyone. It works and performs flawlessly.

Smart device for every one with easy to use
5 Star Review   By dimernet on AT&T - Apr 8, 2012

Finally I see a great device where I have a common platform for my PC as well as Phone. This streamlines my official as well as personal lifestyle the way I like. Thank you Nokia for the great design with a reliable hardware. Even though I see less apps in MS marketplace, I do get whatever apps I needed for regular use.

I love this phone. Me and my family got 3 on our upgrade and it is quite possibly the best mobile phone I have ever had. Well designed and solid with a beautiful screen. Apps are speedy and the headphone quality is wonderful. External speakers are good as well. Recommended for sure.

Perfect fusion of hardware and software!!
5 Star Review   By TheRealJomon on AT&T - Apr 7, 2012

I have waited for a manufacturer to come up to the plate and dish out a phone worthy of Window Phone's slick interface and Nokia delivered a strike with this device. From the various marketing images, I was already sold on its looks alone and after holding the phone for the first time, I knew it was something special. Everything else, great sound, great speaker, great wifi strength, battery, awesome screen, is just pure icing on the cake. I am now officially a Nokia sheep lol!

Best windows phone yet.
5 Star Review   By KarloswithaK on AT&T - Apr 7, 2012

If you are considering a windows phone for the first time, this is the phone for you. I previously had a Samsung Focus (1st gen windows phone) and I can say that this phone is almost leaps and bounds above. It is faster (processor wise and network speed, built better, and has a better display. The build quality is exactly what you would expect from Nokia: durable, great feel, and very VERY attractive. If you are expectant of a high quality phone, I truly believe that this is the only other phone that can compare with Apple's iphone in terms of build. Just hold one in store and you will see what I mean. It has a nice weight to it and feels very sturdy along with the material being scratch resistant! That's right the plastic that the Lumia 900 is made of has been colored throughout so no worries of scratches showing up as a different color because of paint only on the top layers. The display is absolutely amazing. If you have used a super amoled before it is very similar in terms of technology but it does have deeper tones of black and is much easier to see outside in the sun thanks to the clearblack technology. Call quality is great and speaker volume is loud enough to be heard while driving as well. I have the cyan and I think the phone is beautiful. The color may not be for everyone so you may want to consider the matte black or the glossy white when it releases April 22. After using iOS, Symbian, and Android on various phones the windows phone OS has to be the simplest to operate. One drawback that is quickly improving is app selection. The marketplace just recently hit 80,000 and is growing exponentially daily. This however, does not influence my thought on the device, only on the selection of third party applications. I must say that most applications most people will need are readily available. A neutral point for me may be that for such a large battery the battery life isn't stellar, but it is good and should easily last a whole day with moderate to heavy use.

WOW
5 Star Review   By AVIDNOKIA on AT&T - Apr 6, 2012

This has to be the most beautiful phone I have ever seen. It is by far better than Android and iPhone handsets that are currently on the market. The app support is sufficient from the marketplace, and almost 400 new apps are added everyday. One thing that Microsoft doesn't do lately is drop the ball, and combined with Nokia on this handset, they clearly have not. If you haven't used one, go to an AT+T store today, you'll love the look and feel of the phone itself as well as the Windows Phone OS. The ease of use, whether your a first time smart phone owner, or a seasoned pro is welcomed. This is THE PHONE TO HAVE IMO. Enjoy!

great phone

One reviewer claimed no third party apps is just not true. Heck some of the third party apps are way better than the official apps. Take wpFandora it let's you skip thru titles and have no ads like the official Pandora app
