perfect phone
5 Star Review   AT&T

Bigger screen than the original is a plus. As far as I c an see, every feature in the HD is an improvement from the original and I loved the original. I just upgraded to this phone from the original Atrix. After 2 years, the original started to act up but before that, no issues. This new version is even better. Big screen, great camera, free navigation, great apps.. no complaints and I know my Atrix's. I researched all my upgrade options for $50 and under and sticking w/ Atrix was absolutely the best option and trust me, I researched like crazy! I'm surprised more people don't own these phones. I'm always recommending it.

Great Phone!
5 Star Review   By Reamere11 on AT&T - May 13, 2013

I really like this phone! I switched from the Nokia Lumia 920 because I like Android better than Windows 8. While the Lumia 920 has the better camera.... (the camera on the Atrix HD is adequate with 8mp and jelly bean tweaks), I like everything that the Atrix HD brings to the table! The Atrix HD is a solid device that in my opinion is as good , if not a better all around device than the Lumia 920. The build quality is great and this phone is very fast! The HD display is as good or better than my Lumia 920. Surprisingly the battery on my Atrix HD lasts all day long and then some. The camera is good... not great, but Android offers many camera apps that can make this camera even better, and Jelly bean updates enhance the camera performance. Oh man, am I happy to be back to Android! I now can have all my favorite apps again on a really, really great device! I love this phone..the Atrix HD rocks!!!! I will have no issue with using this phone for the next year or more.....

3 Star Review   By quiteaggravated on AT&T - May 4, 2013

it's a really nice phone. the screen is great, battery life will last me a day, really easy to use. unfortunately it doesnt work the way i want it to. i have owned two of them. the first one the photo gallery would stop working, i couldn't send or receive messages. i would have to restart it over five times a day. so i got another one. was working fine for a while now photos wont send and text messages won't send, i will receive messages sometimes but not all of the time and i restart this phone more than i did with my last one. i had to restart it twice within a ten minute time period. my service goes in and out randomly which never happened to me before. i wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone, i believe all of these phones will do the same thing: not work properly. whatever happened to carriers making awesome phones?

Love my Motorola AtrixHD
5 Star Review   By Aquarius48 on AT&T - Apr 7, 2013

First, Motorola is known for excellent products and exeptional value. I owned RAZ and RAZR2 phones. I researched Antrod phones. I chose Motorola for the quality of it product and features. I asked the AT&T associate about battery life, he recommended the Advanced Task Killer (free app) works great, then (settings) to minimize battery use, Unless I use Panadora, I usually keep plugged in when I can, while using Pandora; charge usually last almost all day. Use for online moble banking, awsome. Send emails, thanks to goggle speak-much better than typing with thumbs. :) Smart Actions app, All work well. Monorting battery like is easy with percentage on main screen, usully put phone to sleep when not using for @ 10 min. get all calls and messages when sleep unless set smart action to automatic answer. while at work, meeting, etc. I also purchsed and extra charger unit. one (for work) Mine came with car dock and charger (great value) HD pictures and videos are super great. easy to use. I reccomment using the video tutorials unless you prefer reading instructions tons of apps to select from, or add to. LOVE my Atrix HD, very sturdy, have dropped a few times, and it was stolen at school - highly recommend tracking app Lockout to find phone. like the accessories too

Wonderful product...once you work out the kinks.
4 Star Review   By itsnotbroken on AT&T - Mar 1, 2013

I have had this phone for about six months. Straight out of the box, the thing is unbelievable. The screen, camera, processing power, and design are all excellent. In the settings are some developer options, which allow you adjust animation speeds for the menus, control background processes, see what the phone is doing with CPU, touch screen, and general operation feedback. However, in the end this is just flash. Like any phone this thing has issues. I know several people who have had to get it replaced because it won't receive texts, fails to notify you when something happens, the speaker dies, yatta yatta. There is a lot that can go wrong with a phone that is this complex. Maybe I'm just lucky and my friends got lemons, or maybe I'm better with it. Either way, I have had an OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PRODUCT. BATTERY: People complain about the battery life. People, if you play with the settings, it will last longer. Mine usually lasts about four days. Turn off wifi, mobile data when you don't need it, and disable all the automatic syncing. That alone more than tripled my battery life. BUGS: This thing is undeniably a bit buggy. Play with the settings, reset it, uninstall things you don't use. The thing with this phone is if you have a lot of things on it using processing power, the opearting system makes mistakes. I have plenty of apps and 15 GB of music, lots of pictures, videos, and apps on my phone, but it could only handle it all after uninstalling and stopping the things that were taking up valuable space. THIS PHONE HAS LIMITS. This is my first smartphone. It's not bad, though I have heard of a few models that are superior, such as the HTC OneX. This one turned out to be perfect for you, and if you give it a little bit of time and TLC, it will work out.

3 Star Review   By otothez on AT&T - Dec 16, 2012

I've had this phone for about 3 months now and i previously had the atrix first gen. The phone has a very brilliant display in comparison to other droids and my previous atrix. Also the HD 1080p camera is definitely a plus. Performance wise, this phone is not as fast as I was anticipating, but I wouldn't say that it is lacking either. It handles 15+ programs while maintaining stability and speed. Those are the good things. Now for the bad. The battery is awful. It rarely lasts all day, and that's without streaming video, playing games etc. This phone tries to do way too many things on a way too little battery. It is always syncing, always searching for a wifi hotspot, always updating apps, once the battery hits 20% it will die within 10 minutes. even if it is on the standby feature. Next is the 4 gigabyte internal memory. That is a joke. It is a necessity to purchase an sd card for this phone where as the first gen atrix came with 16gb internal. Maybe 5 years ago 4gb would have been acceptable but to have a phone that shoots 1080p HD video, this is rediculous. Also i am not too fond of no longer having access to the battery. Instead of replacing a battery i will probabally have to replace the phone. All in all, I would say that this is not one of motorollas best droids. The physical features cannot keep up with the software.

3 Star Review   By khudson on AT&T - Dec 10, 2012

I got this phone for the "excellent" features and the cool dock included, along with a free case. I should have known it was too good to be true. I have had this phone for a little over a month and it is sitting next to me right now unable to turn on. I'm not sure if this phone is so new they are still working the bugs out but i am highly disappointed and upset. i have only dropped it once and it was fine, just a barely seen scrape on the corner. what my problem is, the "ease" of the phone is non exsistant. the brightness isnt really adjustable and the swype on this phone is so bad it look like you need hooked on phonics. this is my first motorola. i have had LG, HTC, and Apple. I would recommend any of those but motorola is the worse! the apps are forever crashing and it is slow and confusing. very touchy and the battery doesnt last for long at all unless you arent touching it. it takes forever to charge and any picture you take will have a redish tint. i HATE this phone.

GREAT PHONE
5 Star Review   By YaniJ on AT&T - Sep 4, 2012

This phone is AMAZING. It is my first smartphone, but I've been using other smartphones from friends and family so I still know quite a bit about smartphones. To start out my family and I are usually Apple fans, my whole family has Iphone 4s and I have an Itouch 4g. We also share an Ipad 2, so we are pretty loyal to Apple. But I saw this phone at AT&T and I thought that it looked nice, sleek, and affordable. So I started doing research on all of AT&T's phones, and it seemed like nothing could beat the Motorola Atrix HD. When I got my hands on the device, it was very easy for me to adapt to android and extremely easy to use it. I've had the phone for two days now and everything is wonderful. The fast processor has created no lag to the screen, even with a live wall paper. The pictures look great and videos look phenomenal. The call quality is crystal clear and the speakers are very loud and distinct. They built the phone to also have face unlock which is really neat because you show your face to unlock the phone. The display looks jaw-dropping and the battery life is very good. One charge lasted me about 1.5 days of mild usage.

Great phone for the money!
4 Star Review   By soccer7paige on AT&T - Aug 24, 2012

I think it is an awesome phone, well built and has pretty fast processor. The screen size is good as well has beautiful picture quality. You cannot see the pixels at all unless you have a magifying glass. The camera is ok, can get grainy at times. The HD video is pretty nice with built in timelapse mode, which I like. The battery life is ok but better with smartactions that help extend the battery life. I've got it to 15-16 hours with average use. If you use it heavily, it would be roughly 10 hours, not too bad at all. I wish it had a removable battery to upgrade to a bigger battery or replace it, but not really a big of a deal since iPhone is in the same category.

great phone so far. but the battery life stinks
3 Star Review   By rbryant on AT&T - Aug 7, 2012

like the fact that it is unlocked to side loading apps. But really gotta find way to extend battery. Also wish u could remove the battery incase of a crash* i had the first atrix. and the battery was removeable. And i had to remove the battery ALOT because of freeze ups and crashs to the system. When the phone goes dumb and u cant turn on or off just frozen. Im afraid when the new one does that it will be stuck.

Solid phone-battery is so so
4 Star Review   By stook8954 on AT&T - Aug 6, 2012

Purchased the phone on 8-4-12 but was having battery issues where it wouldn't last at all and drained too quickly. I was able to replace the device with another one and so far no issues. The Smart Actions does help the battery life a bit. Overall, I love the device and it is really fast. This was definitely an upgrade from my Atrix 4g and the screen is amazing!
