5 Star Review   By Erin1974 on AT&T - Feb 19, 2013

After my precious Samaung Galaxy Note 2 was destroyed, i deciced to get a smaaller phone and cheap. This phone is great. HD is crisp and sweet and the camera is amazing for a phone like this. In games there is hardly any lag, which is surprisly awersome. The new updates always keep me happy and the widgets are the best. To weather to note pad, it is the best. The only thing I would like better will be the battery where it will never last more than a day and a half. The rest, it is excellent. Thanks LG for a great phone.

LG Nitro is not your ideal phone
2 Star Review   By SJGJ2006 on AT&T - Feb 3, 2013

this phone was great at first then it began to have some glitches and i thought " hey maybe im just not use to this phone yet?" ive had this phone for about 7-8 months and the problems started appearing around the 7th month. the wifi started turning off randomly and the phone freezes. the worst part is if you have a data allowance don't get this phone. sometimes the WIFI will turn off when the phone is locked the wifi shuts off and when you unlock the wifi is turned off and turns on a few minutes later.

I bought this phone back in July and ive regretted it ever since
1 Star Review   By SanAntoneDaddy on AT&T - Jan 3, 2013

I bought the phone back in July when I started a new plan with AT&T. I was soon notified right after that there was an update from gingerbread to ICS. I assumed that this update would make the phone much better since it was the latest operating system (at the time). But ever since the update the phone resets every 10 or so minutes without reason, freezes, cant connect to camera, and the problems continue from there. There is no known way to downgrade it back to gingerbread so with no other choice i got rid of the thing and bought a new phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE.

Awful
1 Star Review   By princeerik on AT&T - Sep 2, 2012

This is my first smart phone and it has been awful. All of my contacts from my old phone are the sim card. But don't EVER shut it off. Everytime I shut it off the contacts don't show up unless I turn it and off and back on at least 5 times. Also, I don't receive my text messages if my phone shuts off and turns back on. So i never have any idea if my texts are being sent through or not. I understand if you play games on the phone, it will over heat. But sometimes I won't be doing anything with the phone and it will overheat in my pocket and shut off on its own. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. It has been nothing but a headache.

Love the NItro HD!
4 Star Review   By chibiqwerty on AT&T - Sep 2, 2012

I had this phone for a month now (since Aug.2012). So far everything is great. I love camera HD quality. And yes the gaming quality is nice as well, I've been playing Inotia 4 with it, and i don't notice that I'm actually playing using my LG... Video was like Wow..O_o Battery life lasts for 2 days if mostly on stand-by with all the adjusted settings (such as low brightness) but if I played with it, I usually drain the battery, lasts for like 6hrs. But I don't really mind charging the phone after every 2 days or after the day ends. (charging it 2days after is normal for most of my gadgets) LG Nitro also two different types of keyboard that I can choose from (Android keyboard or LG keyboard).. and I prefer the LG keyboard it has bigger keys; as for the android keyboard (default keyboard) it was too tight for me that it was harder to type on and the key arrangements was little different than what I'm used to. You could also change the keyboard layout from "qwerty" or to the phone keypad for those who are not used to typing with qwerty. I like my phone on vibrate so when it vibrates surprisingly i get woken up by just the vibrate that's a plus for me when i used it as my wake up alarm. It also has the call sensor, when you remove the phone from your ears, the phone lights up and then you can click the "end" call w/o clicking the power button. I like the android pattern lock, it is fun to change it whatever you want.

4 Star Review   By Drizzle85251 on AT&T - Aug 22, 2012

First smart phone for me. Bluetooth setup was pretty easy. I will setup apps as needed. I did not know i could not record phone conversations. I drive truck and other phones could record directions and it saves time to start and stop recordings as needed. Downloaded music & photos off my computer easy. I am having fun with this phone. It does need a user guide. Although the online tutorial is helpful I like to read and have time on the road to do just that.

1 Star Review   By overhill35 on AT&T - Aug 22, 2012

I had this phone for about 3 months, and this was a terrible phone. I had numerous problems with the phone. They kept sending me a new phone and it would have the same problems plus some more. I finally got a different phone. I have always been with att and they stood behind the product, and I was happy with that, but the issues the phone was having took much time out of my life-dealing with the issues.

2 Star Review   By Kiko on AT&T - Aug 14, 2012

Am now on my 3rd phone since May. The battery got so hot in the first one that after replacing it is still would get so hot I could not put it next to my face. The second on would not accept and SD card. Now the third one won't attach to the internet or 4G. Have always had Samsung and the phone store is being nice enough to replace the piece of junk with a Samsung.

5 Star Review   By envision on AT&T - Aug 6, 2012

I recently purchased this phone. I immediately fell in love. I used to have the LG Thrill. This phone, compared to that one, is amazing! It is super light weight. It has a big screen, which I love. The battery life varies depending on how much you use apps or the internet. I've gotten about 9 hours while using the internet pretty heavily but with only using it moderately I've gotten almost 14-16 hours. This is a great phone. Still trying to figure the ins and outs but over all I love it!

4 Star Review   By phsk on AT&T - Jun 26, 2012

This phone from time to time will freeze up a little bit and also the camera could be a little better quality. I think the iphone 4 camera is a little better and it is 5mp and this one is 8mp. I like this phone very much cause you can customize it to how you want. It is a very good phone for a good price

I am very happy with this phone. It has lots of memory space and the internet connection is speedy. It is easy to navigate and use the features. I would say it has all the features of an Iphone without the price. The only con is the battery life. It tends to run down quickly.

4 Star Review   By dee92580 on AT&T - Jun 12, 2012

Being that this is my first smart phone, I think it's really easy to use. I did not expect more or less. It is a very useful-user friendly phone. The only cons about this phone so far is the battery life. You have to definitely check to see if you're off the Wi-Fi mode when not in use. The battery goes down pretty fast. Bring your charger with you.

I love this phone! I traded my Nokia lumina in for this one. Androids are the best in my opinion. Its an easy operating system and the apps are great! The HD compatibility is amazing and its very fast. I have my friends with iPhones jealous because its so much easier to use. I would absolutely recommend this to my friends and family. Keep up the good work LG!

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE
2 Star Review   By ElectroJoe on AT&T - Jun 10, 2012

Before you think about this purchase look online about the FOTA update that kills the data connectiity...right out of the box it has not seen the inernet with out WiFi. This is unbelievable, even for ATT. Another problem making it worse to use is the lag. Just sliding the home screen and typing has about a 1/2 sec. delay most of the time...terrible considering the dual core processor installed. Then there's the screen, HD. Yeah, it's HD alright, with a contrast ratio that makes my 20 year old zenith tube tv seem HD. The only good thing I could see (since I couldn't use it much with out being in the house) was the back cover. A good texture for gripping so you don't drop it too easily, although after only a couple hours I want to throw it. Basically, spend a little more and buy a Samsung or an iPhone or anything but LG.

4 Star Review   By khathaway09 on AT&T - Jun 4, 2012

I like the phone I hate how it comes pre-loaded with some apps I don't use and you can't delete them. I don't "twitter" and I can't delete it same with poker... I wish they didn't do that. Navigating the screen is easy. The battery goes fast! The camera takes good pics.

INTERNET DOESN'T WORK
3 Star Review   By NonyaBidness on AT&T - May 31, 2012

So, I bought this phone as an upgrade from my old one - this is my first smartphone. Like many, I was incredibly excited to finally join the world of a mobile network, touch screens, apps, etc. And at first, that's what I had. However, almost immediately after turning it on for the first time, I received a notification that I was to be pushed the new, FOTA firmware update for the Nitro HD. "Seems legitimate" I said to myself. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Now, the 4G/Mobile Network essentially DOES NOT WORK. I always have bars and can make calls, texts, and the like, however they are grey, instead of green. This means that the internet doesn't work. I have found that the only way to force it to connect properly is to toggle on/off "airplane mode," however this is time consuming and the internet will only work for a few minutes, max. Fortunately, the WiFi works flawlessly, but the issue with that is that I only have this at home: the point of having the mobile network is to have it available when I'm MOBILE and on the go. Other than that major flaw, everything works great. The display is wonderful, the interface intuitive, all that jazz. I just can't stress enough the horrendous connectivity and therefore would not recommend it. Stay well away from this one, friends, it'll only give you a headache.

Love This Phone!
4 Star Review   By MamaE on AT&T - May 30, 2012

I bought my LG Nitro approx 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love my phone. It is user friendly and fun. I previously owned an iPhone 4 and I can say with true conviction I like my Nitro more. My husband has an iPhone and has played with mine and is thinking of getting the LG Nitro. Someone noted that the iPhone was a lot of hype and I tend to the same way. Another thing to mention it is more affordable than the iphone. My Nitro does basically what the iPhone 4 did. I am not putting the iPhone down I'm just saying...... I do wish they would come up with another battery. I spend time away from home for medical reasons and my Nitro is a source of entertainment for me. I just don't like having to continually looking at my battery. I drive a car rarely so a car charger would be of little use. Bottom line I love this phone.

An Amazing phone, only semi-con is battery
5 Star Review   By LGNitroUser101 on AT&T - May 30, 2012

The LG Nitro is one of the best At&t phones available currently, at least in my opinion. The display is one of the best i've seen out there, and the camera is superb. Even the front-facing video camera works quite well for being less than 2 megapixels. Many people say that the battery life on this phone is really bad, but its truly not horrible. I mean, all smartphones are pretty bad in the battery department, so you'll just have to get used to carrying a charger / spare battery around. The Screen is what uses the most of the battery; That being said, internet browsing and games can be horrible to the battery, draining up to 10% of the battery every five minutes (ouch) However, everything else works quite well. I can make the battery last from 95% - 2% playing around 9 hours straight Pandora / 20 txts/hr . In my view, thats pretty good. Either way, its a very good phone, and if you enjoy listening to music through the day, this is a good phone for you.

Great phone
5 Star Review   By juju12375 on AT&T - May 23, 2012

I was used to using a blackberry w/out the touch screen. Very reluctant to go to this type of phone. I really like using the phone though. Very easy to use, graphics great, many options (tools and apps). Cons: factory battery dies pretty quickly, ATT email has to be reset every few days because it stops updating but I haven't called service yet to see if there is a fix.

Horrible Battery
3 Star Review   By Ochilla on AT&T - May 14, 2012

I had this phone for 2 days and returned it to the store for an exchange. I understand that the combination of the dual core processor, HD screen, & LTE drain battery life but LG's power management on this phone is terrible. I made three phone calls, checked my email, and downloaded a couple of apps and the battery was toast. i literally watched it drain before my eyes. Exchanged it for an HTC Vivid. Much Happier!

The Best Android Phone on the Market
5 Star Review   By Kaos731 on AT&T - May 12, 2012

I've had this phone for a little over a month, and I absolutely LOVE this friggin thing! I didn't quite care for the LG theme/Skin so I changed it. I also rooted the phone and removed all of the Bloatware that AT&T poured in there. I have to say it was easy as Pie and this thing is Lightning FAST. No lag when swiping between screens, and gaming on this is superb! HD screen is definitely a very BIG plus! Comes with 4gb onboard memory but also includes 16gb sd card right from GO! Upgradable to 32gb if needed. This is the 3rd Android based phone I've owned so far, I came from the HTC camp which I still love BUT saw this LG and had to have it! If you are looking for a phone that is reliable, Fast, and easy to Mod this is it! I even converted my Apple/iPhone loving Girl Friend over to this! It's that good!

5 Star Review   By Ebethgail on AT&T - May 4, 2012

I just got my Nitro a few days ago and can not be more happy! It is extremely user friendly and runs flawlessly! I love the huge crystal clear screen! I couldn't ask for more in a phone!

Great Phone!!
5 Star Review   By Tondee on AT&T - Apr 24, 2012

This is my first Android phone and I absolutely love it!!! The HD screen is great, and I love all of the apps. The battery doesn't last as long as previous phones I've had, but that isn't a problem. I don't even have to buy a car charger because my CD player in my car has a USB port so I can just use the charger the phone came with to charge it. The camera is great as well. I've had LG phones before and love that brand, so that's why I chose the Nitro.

Horrible Battery Life!!
3 Star Review   By Ash970 on AT&T - Apr 24, 2012

I hardly use my phone, have learned to shut off the wifi when not using it and the battery on this phone doesn't get me through half the day. It's extremely disheartening, being my first smartphone and all. Other than the poor battery life, everything else is as expected. There are no surprises with this phone, which, in my opinion, is a good thing.

Great phone. Battery is not a problem.
5 Star Review   By Buffalony on AT&T - Apr 12, 2012

This is my first Android phone and I'm impressed. I have had Palm and iOS and am glad I purchased this. We have a new 4S in the house at the same time and I believe I made the better decision. ;} I gave the battery 4 stars instead of five because I felt the charge time was more worthy of mention not the battery life. It takes a long time to charge this beast. My battery life is not bad at all. Maybe its because I drained the battery completely from its factory charge until the phone died, plugged it in, and didnt bother it until it was fully charged. I've been playing games, downloading apps and browsing the net for the past three hours with Wi-Fi enabled and I have 58% charge left. Considering the size of the screen, the power of the processor, and the size of the battery, the battery life is quite decent! If your having problems with the battery it might be that apps are being left open in the background or your screen setting is too bright. I go to the Application manager frequently and shutdown any apps not in use and make sure to leave the screen brightness on auto. I know the screen on this phone is Eye Crack and I love to show it off personally. When I do, I go in the setting and turn the brightness up. Honestly, I chose this phone first over others not just because of the specs, but because it was made by LG. I have had 5 LG phones and they have been handsdown the toughest. It would take five pages to cover all of the experiences I have had that prove the durability of the brands handsets. It has been a couple years since I have had an LG, so I'm hoping I will not be let down now. Oh.....btw. like the iPhone this phone does have gorilla glass which is very difficult to break unless impacted on a corner edge. I'd recommend getting a case that protects the corners from accidental drops. The display on this phone is perfect imo. It is a retina display! The speaker volume could be slightly louder. I havent noticed any lag. Browser is fast. Flash Playback. woot.

Battery Drain
3 Star Review   By McHenry on AT&T - Mar 24, 2012

This is a beautiful phone and blazingly fast with the 4G. Unfortunately, the battery life is awful. I am a commuter and not always near an outlet to charge the phone. This is a severe downer to a phone that is easy to use and has such an incredibly beautiful display. I am also disappointed that it will not sync with an application I have on both the desktop and the phone.

Doesnt contain a headphone
2 Star Review   By HDAndroid on AT&T - Mar 12, 2012

This product doesnt come with a headphone. Dont purchase this thinking of the standard stuffs like headphones included in the box. The Altec Lansing Headphones that I purchased from Amazon doesnt work with this phone too. Think of accessories that are essential before buying.

Better than GS2 Skyrocket
5 Star Review   By Warhound361 on AT&T - Feb 19, 2012

Although this phone hasn't sold much it is simply amazing. For a start there's the 1.5 ghz dual core CPU. Then there's the HD screen, something the gs2 skyrocket doesn't have. Everytime I'm on the web all text is clear and is much better than my old iPhone 4. After thinking about choosing the GS2 skyrocket and this, I obviously chose this and have no regrets. Even though battery life Is sub par its many features cover for it. I enjoy AT&T's fast LTE network in LA. This phone was very well worth my money.

Better than the SkyRocket!
5 Star Review   By shawn2008 on AT&T - Feb 6, 2012

Don't know why skyrocket has only 480 display and nitro has 1280? It was between the two of em for me. I got nitro couldn't be happier. Display resolution blows rocket out of D water! Everything on phone exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

Great Display But Lacks Power
3 Star Review   By Reb4604 on AT&T - Dec 28, 2011

This phone has excellent graphics but the dual core 1.5ghz processors don't have enough RAM to fluidly transition between apps and pages. Therefore, it freezes/lags a lot. The Battery life is atrocious. I had my phone plugged in at 20% life and was merely texting. It was dead while plugged in within 20 minutes. You're lucky to get a half a day so hopefully extended batteries are on the way from LG. LTE speeds are fantastic. I have capped out at 48mb/s here in Indianapolis. The transition back to HSPA+(the fall back 4g network) works seemlessly. I have not dropped a single call yet. I keep getting a text message send error about every 1/5 text message and continuously hitting resend it obnoxious. It could use an update which makes it autosend if failed initially. Its an all around good phone but I would warn anyone who is a heavy multi-tasker that you need charging options. Hopefully LG/ATT can release an update which will allow the processor to make better use of its available RAM and fix the texting glitch. My phone was original seed stock as well so the newer devices may be more up to speed. Thanks for reading.

Hidden Jewel
5 Star Review   By JPevey on AT&T - Dec 19, 2011

Not much in the forums on this little phone- boy are people missing the boat. Ive had very few reported issues such as battery life or lag. Blazes on the internet, best screen around, call quality good, music sounds fantastic and it really fells good in the hand. A little more narrow than the Skyrocket and a textured back really helps the it fit. As long as LG keeps updating the software, I will have it for awhile.

I like it and so should you.
4 Star Review   By miaggido on AT&T - Dec 18, 2011

"The best thing about this phone is the screen, this phone has a full HD 1280x720 screen that rivals the iPhone's retina display. This screen is actually better then the Iphone's display because it is bigger with higher DPI. I am not in an LTE area but the 3G connectivity is reasonably fast and voice works just fine on this older network. There is a slight lag with this phone when doing normal tasks and sometimes during gaming but other then that the lag is not very bad and easily manageable. The battery life can last all day if gaming and web browsing is kept to a minimum, screen brightness should be turned to the lowest setting if battery life is important. Web browsing is fine, most of the problems with it stem from having to use a touchscreen for everything. The speaker is not the best, it isn't very loud and it needs to be left uncovered to hear much. The back of the phone is slightly creaky, but it is textured so it is easy to hold. Some games do not run on this device yet, and a number of them are buggy, other then that games run great and look fantastic on the HD screen. The phone seems to have plenty of RAM, I could run multiple apps without slowdown and the 1.5GHz dual core processor is lightning fast, the GPU also seems to work great with every game that is compatible with it runs without a hitch. If you like Android and are willing to deal with a new phone with some minor bugs but with amazing tech specs, then this is phone is for you. This phone also comes with a 16GB micro-sd card which is nice."

Amazing!
5 Star Review   By scans4 on AT&T - Dec 5, 2011

I have been waiting for a phone with these specs! The phone feels great in the hand light but not cheap feeling. The display is absolutely beautiful with awesome color and crisp clean text. I did notice a little lag when swiping screens:( I can't wait for some custom roms so we can see the full potential of this beast!
