3 Star Review  productwiki.com - Jul 24, 2011

The HTC Tilt 8925 is a discontinued tilt phone that used to be carried by AT&T. It has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a flip up screen, but its battery only offers 4.4 maximum hours of talking time, less than other phones on the market. It runs on Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC) version 6, so it doesnt come up to date with all the newest features. It has a memory of 256 MB, most taken up by the device itself, so extra memory has to be purchased and added on via the microSD slot included. Only some versions of the HTC Tilt 8925 include a camera, java, and the push to talk feature. The touch screen requires the use of a stylus and it comes with a standalone GPS, a nice feature for a phone of this type. Features Modes: GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / ... PROS: (1) Feature packed for its price (2) High speed network connectivity (3) Global wireless compatible (4) Good integration with Microsoft applications (5) Sleek qwerty keyboard with tilting screen ... CONS: (1) No headset included, unlike other HTC devices (2) Bulky design, heavy (3) BlackBerry connect feature proves to be a headache in terms of performance

Strengths: Many outstanding features. Nice geek toy.

Weakness: Many horrible bugs--Absolutely dismal ATT support

These phones are very easy to fall in love with. The 8525 is very buggy and the 8925 is only marginally better. The white screen of death, car charger doesn’t work, and charge indicator locks until reset are some of the problems. All features can misbehave or hang intermittently. Sometimes it even forgets how to be a phone. I support four of these devices and all have been replaced at least once. Two were replaced three times each. Since they have more bugs than I care to recount, at some point you will need to talk to ATT support. ATT has a telephone hamster wheel where they make you spin for hours and in one case for two weeks. ATT support is a huge bucket of ice water on your love affair with this phone. The support staff is both clueless and careless. Users love these phones when they are working. But for me, however, I rue the day I saw that phone. ATT has consumed too much of my life and I hate those phones.

Nice Phone
5 Star Review   By member Andrew - Mar 6, 2008

Strengths: Does everything, GPS, wi-fi, etc.

Weakness: battery lasts one day

GPS woks great with google maps, My auto GPS maps are 3 years old but these are new. Good reception, every feature you can think of. (could use a foward facing camera for web cam) Camera has good quality but a long delay from when you click.
