I've had the pleasure of tampering with other phones and I gotta say, if your looking for something that has all the perks of the samsung galaxy but don't want to spend a fortune. This phone is it for you.
5 Star Review   By Stargal2636 on AT&T - Aug 29, 2013

I've had many prepaid phones for the last couple of years so I've tampered with many phones operating systems, user interfaces, and everything else. I have to say I fell in love with this phone as soon as I turned it on! After tampering with the phone a bit, this phone is wonderful and easy to use for first time andriod users. It has two separate UI (user interface) options...one for advanced andriod users, which allows you to customize your screen however you see fit, and easy mode for first time users. The screen display is awesome, crisp, clean, and moves very fast. The features are what any person could ask for a first time buyer. The camera works seamlessly, and overall is the best phone I've ever gotten. The only thing I'm going to say against this phone is if your a heavy user (always using the features and apps, like surfing the web, listening to music, or on instagram/twitter etc.) then the battery power tends to drain pretty quickly. But if you don't mind carrying a charger with you during the day, then this phone is truly awesome, and by far the best I've ever had to use.

No stand alone calendar
1 Star Review   By Marnie on AT&T - Jul 16, 2013

It really bothers me that the phone does not have a stand alone calendar. I can only use the calendar to create events if I sync it up to a google or corporate account. I sync it up to my google account because I need a calendar to add appointments to, and it randomly goes against my custom settings and syncs up my contacts also. This happens every time AT&T sends me an update for the phone's software. All of a sudden I have 500 contacts I have to go through to find the person I want to send a text message. I need my phone to do 3 things: make calls, alarm clock, and appointment reminders. That is ALL I need from a phone, and this one can't do it for me.

Issues with phone crashing.
3 Star Review   By Remplym83 on AT&T - May 23, 2013

Though this phone is very nice I have been through two of them in a month and both phones, after a week of use, had the same problem, they would turn themselves off and would not turn back on unless I removed the battery for a minute or so. There's clearly a problem with the circuitry but other than that the phone is great. I will be switching to another type of phone soon.

Looks nice, but functionally poor
2 Star Review   By NiteStar on AT&T - Mar 29, 2013

I've had this phone for about a month. I hate it. Bought it brand-new and in the process of returning it. I am rather disappointed with the touch screen, it rarely works on the first or second swipe, I ended up buying a stylus just so I could use the phone. The speaker phone is great for hearing others, but no one can hear/understand me. 5 bars of service and it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. Even with everything around me silent, I still sound garbled. The battery life is a joke, a full charge doesn't last 12 hours, and I'm not on it much. I bought a Pantech because my husband loved his Pantech Matrix (I did too) but I'm sorely disappointed that Pantech seems to have dropped it's quality when it comes to the Flex. The user interface is also lacking, transitioning between apps takes 20-30 seconds and was frustrating to learn overall.

This kicked my iPhone to the curb......
4 Star Review   By jms7290 on AT&T - Mar 17, 2013

Hopped on the iPhone train 2 years ago - not impressed with their hardware or software! LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone! Does everything my iPhone did, screen is bigger, clearer and has a better camera. Little disappointed with the speaker on the back side of the phone and power button on the side, but it wasn't a deal breaker. My first Android - SO much better than the iPhone!! Battery is ok - not outstanding. Took me a good week or so to figure most of it out - but overall VERY easy to use. iPhone SIM card does not transfer to this one so make sure you back up all you contacts and stuff before deactivating your iPhone. HIGHLY recommend this phone to everyone!!

Sorry I have to be negative Nellie...
3 Star Review   By Joe14 on AT&T - Feb 26, 2013

I recieved this phone in mid Feb. 2013. Right out of the box it is frankly beautiful. And heavy (compared to my iPhone). The features are really excellent. There is a change of experience which is awesome for those newbies into the smartphone world. The video and audio is excellent. The speakphone, unfortunately for my specific needs is on the back of the phone. I need it in the front. For me, that was a near deal breaker as I'm hearing impaired. As a result, it's difficult to utilize the telecoil on my hearing aid and cell phones in general regarding compatiability/interference. To correct this, I had to flip the phone to the back and listen and speak. LOL, I'm sure if I did that in public I would have had some curious looks! The ease of use for me was abysmal. In fact so bad, I thought I was the world's worst klutz. In the 10 days I had it; I managed to turn the volume off, turn the wi-fi connection off, and then actually managing to get the power off button to where the exit screen appears. This had to do with utilizing the rotation from portrait to landscape for either the volume or the power (on either side of the device). As for wi fi connection, as I was unfamiliar with on the front page buttons, apparently I touched screened the wi-fi icon to off. This is where the design and display issues merge for me. There was often a navigation bar on the bottom of the screen, along with the search screen on top sandwiching the actual video or webpage to a 1/3 of its visibility. Not only could I view a page or video with limited range, making it landscape I'm either attempting to power off or shut volume off. Also, the texting was within landscape mode truly awful. Within the portrait hold, it was fine. And the constant back and forth to another screen for a often used punctuation in everyday, fundamental English was frustrating. The battery worked very well. It is a workhorse. For someone such as myself, which is not many I presume, I would not suggest or recommend. However, as with everything, mileage may vary for others.

ringer
4 Star Review   By sadRob on AT&T - Feb 23, 2013

This is my first android phone. I selected Pantech Flex because i had the Breeze II, which had been my favorite flip phone. My only complaint with the Flex is the ring. I can hardley ever hear it ring. The ringer is very low. Everything else about the phone is great.

5 Star Review   By allisonnnnn on AT&T - Feb 10, 2013

This phone is amazing. This is my first phone and all I can say is it is amazing. It's fast, the display is very clear, the camera is AMAZING, and it's very easy to use. I do think the battery life could be longer, but a lot of people say that about phones. I would definitley recommend this phone. I honestly love it and it's super amazing!

best phone i have owned
5 Star Review   By slimshady095 on AT&T - Jan 28, 2013

i don't write reviews so you know this is good. i recently was looking to upgrade my motorola atrix phone which had been experiencing poor battery life and was not maintaining my settings (ringtone and text tones would change throughout the week.) i did some quick research and chose the lg nitro hd. NEVER BUY THAT PHONE. i bought it and the camera function was broken. i returned it for a replacement. the phone would freeze up and shut down mid use from things as basic as texting to downloading apps. returned that and received a new one. the phone still had freezing followed by shutting down issues (btw the only way to remedy this issue was to take the battery out and put it back in.) I was fed up with it and it's laggy behavior even when it was working. did more research and a feature i liked on the atrix was the swype text. the pantech flex had it, and reviews gave it rave reviews minus the camera. fast forward, 3 days in hand and it is without a doubt best and easiest smart phone i ever used. no lag, great screen, SUPEERB battery compared to NITRO (literally lasted 6 hours even just being idle.) GET THIS PHONE

great phone
5 Star Review   By sierrarules on AT&T - Jan 24, 2013

phone is great, clear screen and operates really smooth, battery could be better and usually does not last me all day. music sounds extremely good when you plug in your headphones, very impressed. however the external speaker is not the greatest but its tolerable. camera takes great pictures on both the inner and outer. phone is very thin and not to heavy. so far i love it.

5 Star Review   By CarchibaldPfrienigan on AT&T - Jan 6, 2013

I couldn't be more pleased with this phone. It's super light weight, thin and has a great screen. The battery life is long...meaning can go a day or more without charging. The calls are clear and crisp. My only complaint is sometimes the speaker phone goes in and out.

This is my 1st smartphone and I'm still learning. My stepdaughter's loves it and I believe it's well worth the $$$. All the positive comments are great for me. Now Just working on addition accessories. If there is one thing to research is the battery strength, various protective covers. Thanks

Great phone. You won't be disappointed.
5 Star Review   By torch1985 on AT&T - Nov 15, 2012

The "Easy Experience" is just perfect for people like me who easily get confused with all the screens that most smartphones have today. They have "dumbed" down the Flex to the basics: phone, messages, web, and camera. As far as the battery I think it is great. I am a middle aged woman. I don't spend hours and hours online. I don't play video games. I don't stream music or videos. I will ocassionally check my Yahoo e-mails and go on Facebook a few times a day. I make about 10 calls a day and send about 5 texts a day. My battery is currently at 51% and it has been on the last 28 hours. Not too bad. This phone is a winner in my book.

5 Star Review   By aabbccdd on AT&T - Nov 7, 2012

I seem to be making my gf jealous with this phone. She has an Iphone 4s... her's is good, I think mine is better. lol. Great call quality, the processor is very fast, the colors are brilliant! The only thing that I think they could improve is the sound, things don't go as loud as I'd like them to. Other than that this is an excelent phone, especially for the price! Go to love Androids!
