Strengths: The box/speaker combo is very efficient and sounds great. This box will get Loud!, yet stay clean.

Weakness: would be nice to have a dual voice coil option to enable an amp to run at 2 ohms.

The alpine S series ten in this particular box is very Loud and Low for a 10" woofer. With a Fs of 28Hz and a box that responds well to 60Hz down, this thing will crank. I hit it with a RF Punch with 320watts RMS all day long and it doesn't miss a beat. When I checked it out a guy hit it with 500wRMS and it fell off the shelf onto the floor! I said I'll take it. It's small, fairly lighwheight even with High Density wood. It's not as loud as a custom, full blown pro, but for a two wire hookup and in and out of a trunk easily, it is well worth the money, and the ease of install/use makes up the rest. Nice product Alpine!
