Old rechargable batteries
1 Star Review   By member Unhappy31 - Dec 9, 2009

Weakness: I think batteries were old not holding charge expired

No easy way to see an expire date or expiration date. It is sad since DURACELL is a brand I now/USED TO LOOK for. The store would not take back since it was a week later. I got screwed out of $12 for 4 AA batteries that would not hold a charge. There was a

Bad Experience
1 Star Review   By member csparks1942 - Feb 7, 2009

Strengths: Product Name

Weakness: No manufacturing or expiration dates on package or batteries.

In an eight pack of batteries 6 will not hold a charge. Charge them up and leave sitting overnight and the next day they are discharged. For a Brand name like Duracell why would there be 6 defective batteries in 1 pack? There was no discernible way to tell when the batteries were manufactured either on the package or the batteries themselves.

Don't quite match their rating
4 Star Review

Strengths: Good, but not as good as Energizers

Weakness: Perform slightly worse than Energizers at the same rated capacity

I bought some of these (2500 mah) when they became available slightly cheaper (at Walmart) than Eveready Energizers of the same rated capacity (which I have found to be about as good as any batteries available). When examined closely the Duracells appear to be exactly the same as the Energizers. However I have an informal test that I perform with my camera to get a fairly accurate indication of battery life. FWIW, it turns out that the Duracell 2500's come out almost exactly equal to the older Energizer 2300's. That's not bad, but for maximum capacity the Energizers are better.

great batteries
4 Star Review   By member dlwhuang - Mar 30, 2006

Strengths: -Long lasting -Fast charging(probably more because of the charger

Weakness: -none

These Duracell rechargeables are great for anything that uses AA batteries. I use it for my rechargeable mouse, and it last for a couple months. Once it's out of power then I just swap it out with another set of these. Just note that I also use a Duracell charger so the results may vary with different chargers.

Good batteries
4 Star Review   By member braveranger - Mar 6, 2006

Strengths: Nice capacity. Does not drain over idle time

Weakness: Heat up when charged in quick charger.

I have been using these batteries for 2 months. It's good for about 80 digital camera shots (about 30 with flash) on one charge. I'm pretty satisfied with their capacity. Another good thing is they don't drain easily like some other rechargable batteries over idle time. I used them about once a week. I'm pleased to find they still power up the camera week after week. One small thing to note is that they get rather warm when charege by a four-hour charger. My other brand batteries don't get that warm with the same charger.

High quality batteries at a fair price
5 Star Review   By member edavid - Feb 27, 2006

Strengths: High quality, well made batteries that deliver on their rated capacity.

Weakness: Haven't found any.

It's hard to find a lot to say about a simple product that does what it's supposed to. These batteries come a lot closer to delivering their rated capacity than no-name brands. They really seem to be higher quality also. I will definitely put them in my camera case when I need batteries I can depend on.

Long lasting rechargeables
5 Star Review   By member porkmeat - Feb 9, 2006

Strengths: Long lasting. Works with other chargers. relatively cheap

The ones I have are rated 2300mah. I've been using them for about 2 weeks and have not encountered any problems so far. They last longer compared to my Panasonic rechargeables which are rated 1800mah. They work fine with my Panasonic charger, so you don't actually need to buy a Duracell charger.

Excellent Rechargeable Batteries
4 Star Review   By member rdobbie7 - Feb 4, 2006

Strengths: 2300 maH Batteries actually tested at 2050-2240 initially (they should improve with a few uses).

Weakness: None so far.

Received the 2300 maH batteries (made in China like almost everything these days), even though Amazon had changed their description to 2050. A must for Digital Cameras. I also got the LaCrosse BC-900 Charger, which I highly recommend.

Long-lasting and affordable rechargeables
5 Star Review   By member mcheng - Jan 22, 2006

Strengths: Powerful 2300maH, affordable, and rated for 1000 charges

I bought 8 Duracell Rechargeable AA batteries for use in my digital cameras. These would save me money in the long run, instead of using alkaline batteries. They have performed very well so far. With 2300maH, it lasts much longer than the previous batteries i've used. At less than $1 each, they are also very affordable. Package states it can be recharged for a thousand times, which if true, would be much better than any of the rechargeables i've used before. I highly recommend these batteries.

Good Power at a great price if you don't mind the packaging!
4 Star Review   By member inbead - Jan 22, 2006

Strengths: - Package states can be charged 1,000 times - High power 2300mAh

Weakness: - Came in a package which was opened (during shipping) and batteries were rolling around in the shipping box

I purchased these products from Amazon and they were delivered in a big shipping box with with one of the sealed battery pack open with batteries rolling around. Duracell can do a better job with packaging. So, far I don't have any complaints other than packaging. These batteries work very well with my Canon Powershot digital camera, which uses up batteries like anything. After I got tired of using Alkaline, gave these batteries a shot and these are much more cost effective.

Duracell AA NIMH batteries
5 Star Review   By member berechah - Jan 21, 2006

Strengths: high power! 2300 mAh (AAA version are 900 mAh) recharge many times.

Weakness: none noted

We are very please with the Duracell NIMH AA and AAA rechargeables. They are high capacity and reliable. I have used cheaper brands like L....'s and they do not perform well. But these Duracells are great. They have higher capacity than alkalines and can be recharged many times (none of mine have yet to fail). We use them in wireless Xbox controllers, flashlights, radio-controlled cars, cordless desktops, etc. and the AAA version in flashlights and MP3 players. Highly recommended!

Very satisfied
5 Star Review   By member chitta123 - Jan 19, 2006

Strengths: I got the 2500 mah batteries. That is the best mah rating available in the market right now. They just go on and on and on. Environment friendly too. Just love them

Weakness: None found so far.

Everybody with a digital camera should use them. This is a small thing we can do to protect our environment. Plus, no need to worry about batteries going out during an important event. They keep going forever. Just love them.

Nice Cost Effective Product
5 Star Review   By member yewm2004 - Jan 17, 2006

Strengths: good quality

I had a Duracell 1 hr charger before I did this purchase. The 8 batteries just worked amazing. And they work perfectly with my 1 hr duracell charger too. Have not used it too much, will update information later. So far so good. The battery is just a little warm when charge is finished. I would recommend this batteries for digital cameras, if it is too high capacity to a wireless mouse.

Perfect Batteries
5 Star Review   By member juneloos - Jan 10, 2006

Awesome Batteries
4 Star Review   By member USADAYTRADER - Jan 6, 2006

Strengths: Holds Charge for a long time

Weakness: No 15 min charge time available.

These batteries last a long time (Amazon sent me the 2300Mah), and can be charged in 30 mins with a 30 min charger but they can't compete with energizer's 15 min charger time. These do however seem to last longer than Energizer's 2300mah.

above average rechargeable batteries
5 Star Review   By member iddy92 - Jan 5, 2006

Strengths: 2300mah. price. and name brand

Weakness: gets too hot to touch while charging

this is a good set of rechargable batteries. for those who have power hungry devices using AAs, this is a great investment and it protects the environment too! depending on the charger you use to charge the batteries, these batteries may get pretty warm to touch while charging.

DC1500
4 Star Review   By member htse - Jan 5, 2006

Strengths: 2300mAh, look good, work well

Weakness: Made in China instead of Japan, I can get a new 2500mAh from local store that make in Japan and look better too

Although the description show the batteries are 2050mAh, I got 2300mAh which made in China. I check my local store, which I can find 2500mAh 4 pack cost a little more, but look even better and make in Japan.

Good product
5 Star Review   By member huzza - Dec 30, 2005

Strengths: Works great

Being disappointed with Energizer, I chose this one. The fact prove my wise choice. Along with Duracell 30 Minutes charger, those batteries work great. Also, the price per battery is cheap.
