Linksys E2000 Advanced Wireless-N Router
4 Star Review  cnet.com - Oct 7, 2010

THE GOOD: The Cisco Linksys E2000 Advanced Wireless-N Router offers excellent performance and includes a nice set of features. The router also has an aesthetically pleasing compact design and an intuitive software application to help home users set up and manage their home wireless network with ease. THE BAD: The Linksys E2000 cant operate in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands at the same time. The routers Web interface and desktop software dont work together, and neither offers complete control over the routers configuration. Theres also no USB port to host network storage or printers. THE BOTTOM LINE: The Cisco Linksys E2000 Advanced Wireless-N Router is the fastest router weve seen in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands and will definitely make home users happy with its easy-to-use setup software. Advanced users, however, might find its desktop software and Web interface combination a little disjointed.

Linksys E2000 Wireless-N Router
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Oct 8, 2010

The E2000 is Linksys replacement for the WRT320N dual band wireless-N router. It is one of two dual band routers from the new E series, the other being the high end E3000. The E2000 can run at 5.0GHz as opposed to the standard 2.4GHz frequency offered by the low end E1000; this enables your home wireless network to avoid interference with other local networks. The new Cisco Connect Software replaces the Network Magic software previously offered by Linksys for easy networking setup. This new sofware makes parental controls and adjusting advanced network settings easier. The E2000 offers A/B/G/N wireless with up to 300Mbps speed and 4 gigabit (10/100/1000) ethernet ports. It has Wi-Fi protected setup and WPA/WPA2 security settings. The E2000 is a good option for anyone looking for extra performance or the stable wireless networking that the 5GHz band provides in areas crowded with other wireless networks. Features / Specifications ... PROS: (1) easy to use (2) slick aesthetic compared to older designs (3) great performance (4) affordable price point (5) wall-mountable ... CONS: (1) not all features are accessible via the web interface - requires users to use both the web interface and software (2) desktop software stops working if you change the default router login / password - annoying and a potential security risk (3) cannot run at 2.4 and 5GHz at the same time (not true dual band)

Best wireless router I've used
5 Star Review   By member DTMENTERPRISES - Mar 7, 2011

Strengths: Easy set-up, wireless guest feature, single frequency 2.4GHz never interferes with my 5.8GHz cordless phone, compatible with my Arris cable modem.

Weakness: None that I have found

Been using this Linksys E2000 wireless-N router for several months without any problems. In addition to the strengths I have described, this router provides Gigabyte speed and takes full advantage of the Gigabyte transfer rate of my cable modem and the Gigabyte Ethernet adapters in my PCs, providing the fastest data transfer rates I have experienced. i have a small place so have not tested the range of the wireless signal - I get a max signal everywhere inside and I could not be happier with the router.
