Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 512MB GDDR4 Video Card Review
4.5 Star Review  legitreviews.com - Jul 7, 2009

The Radeon HD 4670 is the mid-range offering from ATI, with lower performance than the Radeon HD 4770 & 4800 series but more performance than the Radeon HD 4300 and 4500 series. With so many new cards out there, the Radeon HD 4670 fits in nicely to the sub $75 market. Let's see how well it performs against its main competitor from the NVIDIA camp, the GeForce 9600GSO 384MB.

AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4670 | Sapphire
2.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Apr 1, 2009

Introduced in the middle of September 2008, the Radeon HD 4670 is a mainstream graphics card from ATI. Based on the latest 4000 series R700 GPU, the 4670 is based on the same 55nm fabrication process, comes with 512MB or 1GB of memory and has a 128bit memory bus. While considerably handicapped by the poor bus width, performance in the latest games remains quite high on lower resolutions. Aimed at competing with Nvidias mainstream 9500GT offering, the 4670 outperforms it by quite a large margin, almost matching the 9600 GSO and GT in a variety of games and benchmarks, and matching the previous generation performance model from AMD, the 3850 - all while using considerably less energy and producing far less heat. Rated at a maximum 75W TDP, the 4670 does not require any additional power connections. Sadly, while the card has captured the attention of many for introducing great performance ... PROS: (1) as fast as the previous generation performance card (2) low heat and power consumption (3) faster but cheaper compared to the 9500GT (4) good for HTPC (not full length, single slot, can be cooled passively) ... CONS: (1) poor driver availability within the first 2 months of launch (2) no passive options - almost all fan-based options have small noisy fans (3) a little expensive compared to the 9600GT (4) poor availability (5) took too long to be launched

Sapphire Radeon 4670
4 Star Review

Strengths: Fast, Cheap, Quiet, and Good Performance.

Weakness: None I have found.

I have bought sapphire cards for a while now, and the 4670 is so far the best. It offers the best quality I have had yet, and is still quiet and cheap. I am running this on a PC that does not have PCI Express 2.0 capability too, and the performance is still greater than any other cards I have had. Easily a good buy.
