It just looks cool

I read the other reviews about this and simply wanted a cool blue light on my desk that adjusted my system volume. It does just that. I know that I can customize it to work with different apps, but I didn't buy it for that purpose.

It does what it says.

Strengths: Cool blue color, very smooth knob, nice stanless steel brush look.

Weakness: Sometimea I have to re-seat the usb to make it when when booting up my machine.

I think this is a great product. I just like the part when I can controll the volume instantly and other programs with it. I don't have any doubts on buying this.

I saw one of these on a friends...

Strengths: Looks cool, program-specific assignments

Weakness: Setup a pain in XP, not ergonomic, may not work on USB hub

I saw one of these on a friends Mac and had to have one. When I first set it up on an XP machine, it functioned for a while then failed. It worked intermittently. I tried everything and eventually just disconnected it and put it in a drawer. I checked the Griffin site a few weeks ago and found instructions for the problem I was having.
