I got these speakers along with...
Strengths: Quality of sound, connectivity and features (I got the 1 bundled with DDTS 100 decoder) and CHEAP !
Weakness: The loudness isn't too high, but again for the price I can't complain. Center speaker holder isn't strong enough. No delay setup possible for surround speakers. Short speaker connector wires.
I got these speakers along with the DDTS 100 decoder from us.creative.com about 2 months ago. It costs $450 if bought separately. Could have actually gone for Bose Acoustimass 6 series II for $400 at Sam's Club. But quality was a priority to me. These Creative speakers are actually part of very popular Cambridge Soundworks home theater systems and that's the reason behind the quality. The more I...

The more I listen to them, more I fall in love with this beast. It has the quality even at the peak volume. The bass is rich and clear unlike Logitech Z-680, which is little louder at peak volume but the quality is not at par. Especially the bass quality.
Before buying this I tried all the other competitors and Klipsch Ultras probably was the best. Both in quality and loudness. But the price, lack of good connectivity like DDTS 100 and the lack of REAR speaker made me go for MegaWorks 650. And man, I am happy. All 3 speaker systems had enough loudness for a mid-size living room.
After trying out the Klipsch, my expectations were high for the loudness, which wasn't met. But over-all quality, great connectivity and sleek design won me over. The Klipsch needs a mansion to be housed, the sub-woofer/amplifier is too big to hide.
I saw a user mentioned other companies like Bose have better quality speakers. For him, I bought this speaker system not just for the computer but for my living room as a home theater system. Right now my DDTS 100 is connected to PC through S/PDIF optical, DVD player through co-axial, TV and VCR through analog connections. And I did consider Bose before going for it. The cheapest Bose speakers (even Acoustimass 10 which costs over $600) can't even come close to it in terms of quality, period. Probably the costlier ones can, but it's not fair to compare a $1200+ system with a $300 one. Never tried Sunfire, Cerwin Vega so can't comment. But except for Onkyo SKSHT510, none of the 6.1 speakers below $500 (including pure home theater speakers, not just computer speakers) can compete with MegaWorks 650.
The extra real channel of 6.1 really helps in newer EAX games and DTS ES or Dolby EX DVDs. It really creates the surroundness, close to that you find in the theaters.
There were a few guys who didn't like it's quality (some didn't even have it though commented), for them, this system is awesome if you have the ears. May be you were just unlucky to get a defective system. No doubt Klipsch Ultra is louder but that's just 5.1 and much costlier than this.
Few weaknesses I found so far, the center speaker holder isn't strong enough and needs adjustment frequently as some other user mentioned. Also the connector wires were too short for my 14' x 18' living room and had to buy a roll of 16 gauge wire. But the biggest of them is, you can't configure delays for rear/surround speakers. But this is no big deal unless you have a big hall to use it in.
Highly recommended as this gives best bang for the buck !

sounds amazing (even at loud...
Strengths: THX, Great sound. get that extra rear channel. Automaitc upmixing when not connected to 6.1 sourse. Aux input. Gold Plated connectors the whole way through.
Weakness: Cables arn't long enough (for pc connection and satellite connection). No digital inputs. Remote isn't wireless.
sounds amazing (even at loud volumes). Great with DVD's. MP3's sound amazing. very durable and strong. Great companion with the Audigy 2. The sub can handle a lot of bass.

WARNING: Never admit to Creative...
Strengths: Good match to Audigy 2 sound card.
Weakness: First set kept blowing it's fuse. Creative Labs could not supply another one for long time.
WARNING: Never admit to Creative Labs that you replaced a burnt fuse as they claim that that voids the warranty. Just tell them "it dose not work at all". I also notice the stupid design of the center speeker stand, that it falls down by it's own weight. It really is a pain to repack all these speakers. Plus UPS would not give me proof that I had shipped them back. They just said "It's in the...

I also strongly suggest that you try and honestly rate a product and let others know what your experiences with product has been. Before, I used to think that I was too busy to write the reviews and felt some of those who write the reviews may have exaggerated their oppinions.
Regarding this speakers, I haven not yet returned the speakers to Creative because it is a real pain to pack this heavy stuff for shipping. It is absolutely unacceptable for a company as reputable as creative to have release this product into market for sale without the kind of meticulous quality assurance that they (I assume) have give to their sound card.
