HP PSC 1510 Question
Strengths: Awesome printer
Weakness: Uses a lot of ink
I have a HP PSC 1510 printer that prints a test page everytime I turn it on. I went to check the settings and the print test page is set to off, I've pulled the plug to reset the printer but it still prints the test page. Can someone help.

Big Drinker & Photo Paper Challenged
Strengths: Generally an easy to use good unit for plain paper. Was able to eleminate flat bed scanner, fax and larger printer.
Weakness: Consumes ink like a drunken sailor and objects to any type of photo paper; Which it takes in only 1/2 way and dumps ink on the empty drum. Even after cleaning out the ink, it contues the problems.
The photo prints are excellent when it works, which now is never since it will only accept plain paper. Several of friends have the same results with their newer HP printers, even the high end HP printers are photo paper challenged. I should have kept my older high end HP printer. My purpose was for photo quality prints, which this one did when it would work. I'm a long time HP user, but will be...

Several of friends have the same results with their
newer HP printers, even the high end HP printers are photo paper challenged. I should have kept my older high end HP printer. My purpose was for photo quality prints, which this one did when it would work. I'm a long time HP user, but will be looking at replacing this one with another brand. The cost of the ink is killing me...probably close to $100.00 a month.

Ink Cartidges require frequent replacement
Strengths: Good scans.
Weakness: I am replacing ink cartridges aboubt once every 6 weeks. My previous HP printer would go for nearly a year until I replaced a cartridge.
THIS PSC IS A REAL MONEY-MAKER FOR HP. If I keep using cartridges at the present rate I might be spending $140 a year jyst for the black & white cartriges. I try not to use the color cartridge too often.

Dont do it
Strengths: Print quality is good
Weakness: Where to begin... The way the feeder is set up, it has issues with "grabbing" the paper unless the paper is loaded just right. Cartridges dont last very long. It is a self-aligner but seldom works.
I have owned several different all in ones and this one is by far the worst of all of them. I love HP's print quality and how it doesn't "saturate" the paper with ink. The colours are nice. That's about all I can say that is positive about this machine. My worst problem with it though is how the paper loads. If you're looking, you'd be better off looking for a machine that loads paper from behind.

Don't buy this product
Strengths: Fast, nice design
Weakness: Jams easily, repeated other malfunctions, hard to use software, archaic Mac support, hard to reboot, poor phone support, extremely slow chat support.
I had to exchange this product after two weeks for complete hardware malfunction, then it broke again one month after manufacturer's warranty expired (fortunately I bought an extended warranty), all with light home office use.
I'm buying a top-rated Canon.
What would you get, A GMC truck or a Toyota Tundra, duh.
