Not a good choice
Weakness: It s not user frindley set up and performance very difficult and poor.
I can not get this machine to print wirelessly it has been turned off over night and still continues to print an item I ask it to print last night. I wish I had not purchased it on Ebay.

Not many problems
Strengths: Excellent pictures. Does a fine job of printing, scanning and faxing. Is especially good on DVD or CD label prints.
Weakness: Don't bother if you are going to use this as a wireless printer. It doesn't handle through the air data too well. In order to keep from using a lot of ink you need to leave it on 27/7.
Before you call this printer a piece of junk you need to download the latest drivers and the latest versions of the software. I am more than satisfied.

Weakness: Extremely low quality in almost everything. Poorly engineered and poor mechanical quality.
As soon as I bought the product, it became evident that it couldn't scan documents at all. I had to do some intense research and download a special fix from the the HP site to make this basic feature work. I wonders if HP has a quality control in the printer department or if they just throw out these products as-is, hoping to fix issues as the customers start complaining. Second - even though the...

Second - even though the product is wireless-enabled, it is impossible to print from more than one computer in your house. I tried many times to set this up, but gave up (and I am an IT guy!)
Third - the latest issue is that form feed just doesn't work anymore - it jams the paper regularly. I tried to see if there are any obstructions or similar, but everything seems OK. It's just the form feed mechanism that doesn work properly and "chews" the paper regularly.
Conclusion - stay away from this (premium!) product and from HP products in generel. HP used to be a company producing high quality innovative products under their original founders (Hewlett and Packard) but a series of greedy management teams fucused on outsourcing engineering and production to low-wage / low-quality third world countries making Wall Street happy (and lining their pockets with fat bonuses) but essentially ruining the company. It is already my third negative experience with HP products, so it's a rule, not a happenstance. I will never buy an HP product again.

Some unknown drawbacks
Overall this printer does an excellent job of printing both text and photos. I really like the automatic two sided printing. One drawback this printer has that can't be found in the manuals or anyplace else is printing labels. When printing to a writable CD/DVD the only software a person can use is Photosmart Essential 3.5. One can also download a free Roxio Express Labeler that is suppose to...

Overall this printer does an excellent job of printing both text and photos. I really like the automatic two sided printing. One drawback this printer has that can't be found in the manuals or anyplace else is printing labels. When printing to a writable CD/DVD the only software a person can use is Photosmart Essential 3.5. One can also download a free Roxio Express Labeler that is suppose to work also. All other label maker software is not compatible with this printer. The same goes for most other labels you may need to print such as mailing labels. I was told by tech support that again the only software they recommend using for labels and the only software that is compatible with this printer is the Roxio software. To me this is quite disappointing. I have owned many HP printers and this is really the first time I have been disappointed that it is not compatible with all software.
